Big fish or Gift for husband
Continuation of the description of fishing in Norway
Norway, Oslo, Gjesvaer. 03.09. 2013-10.09. 2013
Moscow-Oslo-Moscow (Aeroflot)
Oslo-Alta Oslo (SAS)
1 day in Oslo, 3 days lake fishing, 1 day sea, 1 day free for sightseeing.
This is not the first time I organize a trip as a gift to my husband, behind Paris 2007, Switzerland 2010. I must say that we travel a lot and with pleasure, we have been to many countries and cities.
But the idea to give my husband an organized fishing trip to Norway for his 50th birthday arose after two times in a row, my husband and son returned from Astrakhan, where they go every year, dull and without special impressions.
Norwegian cities and fjords have long attracted our family with their unusual, unique beauty, but we kept postponing this trip, because. after all the preliminary calculations of the upcoming expenses, it seemed somehow unreasonably expensive.
But on my husband's 50th birthday, I wanted to impress him with something, and I decided to start preparing this trip. I must say that this case was completely new for me, it seemed very difficult, because. I wanted a guaranteed catch - a catch that would leave an indelible impression on my fisherman. And it was also necessary to try very hard so as not to accidentally blurt out or let it slip to her husband. And as luck would have it, he started talking about fishing in September in Astrakhan. I persuaded all his friends, as well as my son, to keep them all very busy for the period from August to October inclusive. They didn't let me down and thank you so much!
Huge crabs loomed in my imagination, rainbow trout, sea fish and, of course, the dream of any fisherman - halibut, always trophy! Mentally, I imagined how happy my man was, and I present all these trophies to him on a plate with a golden border in different variations, with different sauces.
First, I found on the Internet the website of the Mivel company, which, I must say, is very informative, well-designed and it was impossible not to be tempted and start working with this particular company! In addition, a wonderful girl, Oksana Dmitrieva, who was well informed in all the subtleties of the fishermen, communicated with me, who helped me a lot. She patiently and intelligibly explained to me all the details of the upcoming fishing before I decided. And I must say that we began to correspond with her, almost a year before the celebration.
I want to note that you can fly light on fishing, because. everything you need can be paid for and rented, including fishing suits, tackle, crabs, skippers, guides, boats, etc.
In November, I paid a deposit under an agreement with Mivela, and I bought a flight later, because. SAS was expecting some changes in the schedule, and I patiently waited until April, after which I bought the flight.
D. R. was approaching. my husband, I went to the NETPRINT website and designed an album with views of fjords, huge fish, fishermen and fisherwomen with satisfied faces, said that in the period from “…” to “…”, he was going to fish in Norway, to the very North, to the Barents Sea, in the company of such and such. Then I received my completed order, put it in a large envelope, pasted the logos of Aeroflot and SAS on it, and sent it straight to work with my husband, because. it was a work day. Without my signature. The package was given to him by his secretary. He thought that this was some kind of advertising campaign of air carriers, but he opened the envelope, began to flip through and scrolled down to his photo + information with the travel program..... taken aback... , started flipping again, understanding did not come right away. Then he called me and shouted into the phone, repeating endlessly, “Masyanya, well, you give! I couldn't do that! "
It would be wrong to be in Norway and not get to the capital, so we, and this is my husband, son and me (although it was planned that our close friends would still go with us, but, to my great regret, they could not for a good reason ), on the first day they flew to Oslo, took the language: ☺ (guide),
spent the night, and in the morning the next day, flew to Alta. Upon arrival, they took the car, which I booked in advance and Hurray, let's go! Yohooo…!
Previously, in Yandex, I scored the route, from Alta to our fishing village Gjesvaer, it was about 250 km, but the travel time, Yandex set almost 5 hours. DO NOT believe! The roads are amazing, there are almost no cars, the views are amazing. The only obstacle on the road were deer of incredible beauty with large branching horns, which, completely unabashed, majestically marched across the road. And there are so many of them. . .
Along the way, we saw many of these structures. These are passing tourists warming up. We are no exception☺
We've arrived. Oksana was already waiting for us, then we went up to our apartments. I must say that they impressed me with their comfort, wonderful cuisine, with everything you need: dishes (a lot), a large refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc. For the hostess - a pleasure! And the view from the window! Simply unique! From all the windows of our apartments there was a view of the beautiful bay and the Barents Sea. The feeling that you live right on the water. Even the view from the hotel window on the canals in Bruges is not so impressive!
Here you go. The next day we woke up from the cry of plump seagulls flying past our windows.
and bright sun. I prepared breakfast for my men, and then sandwiches to go, and they, accompanied by a guide Vladimir, went lake fishing in the mountains.
Have returned…. With one big trout… EVERYTHING! Well, of course, I was upset! There are no fish! Or rather, of course, it is there, but for some reason it is not caught! The son said that you can see how a large trout swims in the clearest water, but does not react to the lure! Tricky trout…
To my surprise, all three fishless lake fishing trips that I booked did not upset my men at all. The lack of fish was compensated by some unreal beauty of mountain lakes.
Therefore, on the last lake fishing, I kept them company, and regretted that I did not go to the previous two.
It's on the way to the lakes.
Later, Volodya told us that it is best to come to the lakes for trout in the summer, and September is already too late.
SEA FISHING
After the first river fishing, Volodya, our guide, said that the weather was almost ideal for sea fishing, and it would be windy in the following days, so I crossed my men and sent them to the sea, after putting a dramin from motion sickness in their pocket. And she waited, mentally driving all possible fish to their fishing rods. My prayer did not go unnoticed! After 6 hours, they sailed and dragged a catch consisting of different fish: cod, saithe, haddock, about 80 kilograms, which they (my poor ones) cut into a sirloin, I put it in bags and froze it in the freezer! I must say that if we didn’t come in September, then, as we were told, those who come there to work help with cutting the fish, but in September, alas, there was no one. According to her husband, they caught, literally: “from the side in a“ plumb ”on a jig weighing 600 grams, with three hooks from a depth of 60-70 meters. Sometimes on 1 cast, 2 fish fell.
Over a dinner of sea fish and a glass of white wine, my men shared their impressions and constantly repeated how smart I am, a Komsomol member, an athlete, and, well, just a beauty! I waited☺
As for the halibut, it turns out that in order to catch it, it is not enough to be an experienced fisherman, here you also need luck, skill, as well as special gear, appropriate weather, special devices to pull it out, and this, as we were told, is not an easy task. Halibut was not caught.
The next day, Volodya brought us crabs, or rather their huge long legs (it's just hysterical☺ , so delicious! ), Which my husband cooked in a special broth with the addition of beer.
FREE DAY. We had one day, which I left, to explore local attractions. First we went to the North Cape (the northernmost point in Europe). Beauty, breathtaking, oh, this Arctic Ocean!
There is also a tourist complex with a souvenir shop, a cinema, a restaurant, a museum.
This is the second most extreme point of continental Europe that we visited, the first was in Portugal (the westernmost point of Europe).
In general, there are two more:
1. Cape Marroqui (or Cape Tarifa), Spain - the southernmost point of continental Europe.
2. “The fourth, easternmost point is lost in the mountains of the polar Urals between the cities of Vorkuta and Labytnangi, on the watershed line of the rivers flowing from the Ural Range. ”
Apparently, it's not destiny to get there☺ .
Next, we went to Honningsvå g, went to Icebar, drank a non-alcoholic drink from glasses of ice at a temperature of -5 degrees, took pictures. After 5-7 minutes we jumped out of there))) they didn’t pour alcohol... they froze.
We were late to the local museum, closed, and returned home to our fishing village.
We left early, afraid to miss the plane and in vain, because. got to Alta airport in just 2.5 hours.
It should be noted that no one encroached on our catch, which we carefully packed in a box and wrapped in sweaters, at any of the customs. The fish was brought home still frozen, not thawed at all. And in total, the return journey was approximately 16 hours, from home to home.
In general, the trip was a success!
