Верно, бронировать отель не надо. Попасть на остров можно заплатив за вход и пробыть там не более одного дня, после чего нужно отчалить с острова. Список таких островов есть в "Активити бук" в отеле на Маафуши, у каждого острова своя цена за вход, которая указана в активити бук.
ВАЖНО, перед приездом на остров, менеджер отеля острова Маафуши, должен позвонить менеджеру отеля острова-резорта и забронировать ваше там пребывание. То есть без предварительного бронирования, Вас могут туда не впустить.

Как же я тут поржала, простите))))) Люблю сама влипать и когда кто-то влипает, чтобы другие потом прочитали и позавидовали))) (но без особых последствий для влипающего, ессно))) Мы так, за царя Гороха поехав на экскурсию из Черногории в Боснию и Герцеговину, нечаянно пересекали повторно границу по возвращении в Монтенегро: водитель буса чей-то паспорт забыл, возвращался и нечаянно заехал опять на чужую территорию - естественно, без дополнительных отметок в паспортах, пограниники чуть не закудахтали от возмущения))))) Ржу опять :D
А в чем проявилась сложность организации? По отчету кажется, что всё так легко, играючи. Состыковали перелет и паром, и гоу, дальше радиалки с Маафуши по резортам.
