Half a year has passed, I began to prepare for the next vacation, but I still have not reported on the previous one. So, I beg your pardon, a lot has been erased from my memory, but the main points that they say "to help you".....
First tip back at Domodedovo airport: don't pack your luggage next to the Cancun check-in counter. Go deep into the airport, to where our Tajik brothers are packed.... it's a hundred rubles cheaper there! I’ll immediately get ahead of the events and add that when flying from Cancun to my homeland, packing luggage costs $ 30 !! ! We bought cling film for a penny at the Walmart supermarket and packed our luggage ourselves.
Hotel:
I prefer small, green ones. The choice fell on "Reef Playacar". He met my requirements. The place was also chosen with understanding. Firstly, the protected, cultivated zone of Playa Del Carmen, and most importantly, there are no rains and waves in the "low season".
The flight is ok. They fed and watered enough. The captain of the ship helped fill out the migration cards by speakerphone (we prepared samples before departure).
Upon arrival, I want to warn you, tune in for a long wait at customs, at least 1.5 hours !! ! Take care of warm clothes - air conditioners work hard.
Check-in at 15:00, while we arrived at the hotel at 8:00 in the morning. The guide helped to arrange the documents at the reception and said goodbye to the meeting. They asked for a room "very good", they gave the administrator only $ 1 and, unlike his compatriots, he provided us with a room with one large bed. In another bungalow from them, though on the first floor. As it turned out later, it was a really good number)))) BUT VERY WET!!! ! Which initially greatly spoiled the mood. We even rushed to change the room, but realized that there were many advantages, which we noted later, that, unlike the rooms of our compatriots, our balcony did not go out to the main alley, but to a quiet deserted side, with flower beds, lawns running agoutis.
Safe $ 35 for 14 days. The key is huge, and you need to adapt the safe to open / close..... sorry there is no photo))))
Another thing that initially upset me in this country is the voltage of 110V. My hair curler did not heat up ((((And I decided to put my hair in some order on the second day! For phones, tablets, and other electrical appliances, you need an adapter, and the charging speed of phones is not enough.
Advice: do not buy an adapter in a hotel store (we bought it there for $ 5, not working, loose), apparently the tourists leave it, and the employees repackage and sell it. Better get out of the hotel to the left, there is a type of market, here you can buy better for $ 1 !!!! ! Do not repeat mistakes!
Tipping in Mexico is encouraged! EVERYWHERE!
Beach:
White sand, clean beach, sun loungers were enough for everyone. The hotel services include canoe rental for 30 minutes free of charge. Oh, the sea is beautiful! The Caribbean is amazingly beautiful! I can compare its brilliance in the sun with a diamond, emerald, topaz, turquoise! Every evening we listened to the sound of its waves and looked at the island of Corfu, glowing with lights somewhere in the sea....And to walk along the coast, not in a hurry at sunset...... the best relaxation.
Purchases:
Tequila bought at Walmart: "Don Julio" Anejo!! ! about 60$. Read about restrictions on the export of alcohol. Moreover, this supermarket has a very favorable dollar exchange rate. Therefore, purchases were made in this currency, and not in pesos. A certain amount of dollars must be exchanged for pesos, they are more profitable to pay for taxis and purchases in street stores.
Tours:
We were scared-we-confused....so we bought trips from a tour operator. This is the only country where we have made such a decision. Of the population, few people speak English! And don’t even dream about Russian!
Were on Chichen Itza (well, because UNESCO heritage)... in Tulum, Coba, Xcaret Park, and also dived in the Gulf of Mexico with whale sharks. The last one is very expensive $200 per person, but it's worth it!
Take your own water for the tour, it's expensive to buy! Do not practice the guide route in the Shkaret park, it is aimed at gathering all Russians in one place, at one time, in one restaurant!! ! We ourselves did not understand how cleverly we did this: first we walked around the caves, through the Aztec village, then the butterflies, closer to the heat, the oceanarium, and somewhere around 12:00 we went to a restaurant not under a thatched roof !!!! ! It seems the restaurant was called "Laguna", where the cougar is..... Tourists, mostly Americans, were already lining up. We were the first to be invited to dinner, we had a wonderful, tasty, calm lunch without a queue. Having eaten deliciously, we went around what we didn’t have time, looked at the dolphins and, in the very heat, swam along the underground river. We didn’t stay for the evening show, leaving too late for hotels, at 22:00
Internet:
Together with friends we bought internet for 3 devices for $50 for 7 days, then we pay by the day! TV - no channels in Russian. Stock up on downloaded movies. We did not have time to see them, there was something to do, but in case of bad weather. Speaking of bad weather, not a single rain in the hotel for all 14 days. And once a heavy downpour when we were moving in a bus on excursions and such a cool bliss after the rain! Here are the recommendations of travel agents "do not visit Mexico in July, in July there is humidity and showers"!
I want to note that the humidity of 100% is not to say anything! Get ready, clothes will be wet through!! ! Bedding, books, notebooks, dollars, everything is wet. Swimwear takes a long time to dry. Air conditioning and fan did not turn off at all! BUT!!! ! Mexico is beautiful, it's original, colorful! And the chic Caribbean Sea was my motivator to fly long 13 hours to see this beauty at least once!
It is unfortunate that today, in light of the situation with the exchange rate of $, our dreams are under threat! But maybe my review will help someone.
I wish everyone to make their travel plans come true! Happy travels!!! !

Flight attendants immediately handed out blankets, headrests, for extra. players offered a fee. We fed twice, the food is not restaurant, you can survive the flight. Those who were having a hard time parting with their homeland bought alcohol on board. At the Cancun airport, I again had to go through scanners, then passport control, and a meeting with representatives of the Southern Cross. We were taken to the hotels on comfortable buses. And here I am at my bungalow... Standard room - two large beds, TV, table, two armchairs, mirror, wardrobe with hangers, safe and mini-bar, iron and ironing board, air conditioning, 7 towels in the bathroom , there is a hair dryer, but very weak, shampoo, soap, body cream. Every day the room was cleaned and a fresh supply of bottled water was supplied. There are two armchairs and a table on the small balcony. The territory of the hotel is immersed in greenery, every morning the gardeners planted something, dug up, cut the grass, cut dry branches on palm trees. Funny agouti animals live on the territory.
They fed very well - every day fish and seafood, meat, chicken, a large selection of dishes, vegetables, herbs, fruits, desserts, cereals, puree soups, fresh juices, tea, coffee, wines. True, on the second day I really wanted okroshka...
Private beach with free sunbeds and umbrellas. Every morning the beach was cleaned from debris. There are 3 pools, every morning they were cleaned and "by eye" sprinkled with bleach.
Animation is weak, although the organizers are trying very hard. There are no Russian songs in karaoke, which is a pity. . .
It turned out that we were in the very rainy season, and the first three days were overcast and raining. BUT!! ! as soon as the sun came out in the morning, I immediately got burned all over and the cream with protection at 40 did not help me. And I spent three days with a temperature in the room, and then the remaining two sunny days I sunbathed covered with towels and under an umbrella : ). A red flag was almost always hung, but this did not stop us, and we swam in the warm and very salty sea, despite the rain and waves.
Tours are very expensive, so you can buy cheaper tours on 5th Avenue. For example, from the Southern Cross, an excursion to Chichen Itza costs 110 dollars, and in a travel agency with an English-speaking guide 45 dollars, and with a Russian-speaking guide 90.
I went from my operator Yuk Koba-Tankah, I really liked it, Alena told everything in detail, despite the pouring rain and annoying mosquitoes, and swimming in the cenote is something in general !!! ! I have never received such a positive charge anywhere else.
Everything is wonderful, everywhere everything is clean and beautiful. And even if you do not speak English at all (like me), you will not be lost!
