We were in Cancun for 3 days, the rest of the time we traveled around the country. This resort met us with cloudy skies and cold winds. Apparently, the high season had not started yet, as it was quite cool, the sea was rough and red flags were put up everywhere, warning that swimming is not allowed due to dangerous waves.
The hotel surprised me with a huge hall, immersed in greenery, the utmost courtesy of the staff and excellent English of the latter. Then, however, a few oddities followed, but they are lost against the background of the general impression. For example, no one bothered to take us to the room (they only pointed to the elevator and gave us the key). Also, imagine our surprise when we open the door to the room and see that it is already occupied by a couple who have checked in an hour before us. The porter who came after us apologizes, the maids passing by quietly giggle and after a few minutes they give us the key to another room... Well, I would not want to be in the place of that half-naked girl who miraculously managed to hide in the bathroom, seeing that door opens. . .
The room cost us a little less than $ 400 for 3 nights (this is only with breakfast). However, Cancun itself is not a cheap resort. In addition, excellent service, a nice room with a balcony overlooking the bay, two large pools and a beautiful, very well-kept grounds - all this is worth the money. All inclusive cost about $300 per day, but we decided that freedom is more expensive) We ate in different places. However, if you intend to eat at a hotel, it is better to take a package. There are several restaurants, live music in the evening. However, the hotel, like the resort, accepts mostly Americans, so the music in the evening is American. And it is even better to listen to it in a restaurant, because when you are in the room, you can also hear it perfectly, moreover, it is different from the side of the window and the door. Sounds too loud.

The beach is beautiful, almost white fine sand and turquoise blue sea. When the waves are not strong, you can swim. Or just lie under an umbrella and drink a Margarita. It is impossible to describe the beauty of the beach and the sea, it must be seen! )) Only you need to go in the season itself. We were not very lucky - in mid-November for 3 days we were allowed to swim only 1 time.
The last thing I want to say about the resort is Cancun - a well-groomed and expensive resort for lovers of respectability, comfort and large hotels. Who prefers solitude and unity with nature, go to Tulum. Although the sea in both cities is equally beautiful, and the sand is strikingly white.
