I will say right away that the hotel is conceptual and this must be taken into account immediately when it comes time to make a decision on the choice. For example, the philosophy "no shoes, no news" is implemented here in all seriousness. During my entire stay, I did not meet a single person in shoes here. In addition, I did not see a single person talking on a mobile phone, except for the staff, but the staff have internal mobile phones (from the room, dialing a short number, you immediately get to the mobile terminal of the attendants). Almost everyone gets around on bicycles, which are an integral part of the room and stand at the entrance (by default, two per room, one of which is female). There are also several electric cars.
The main contingent of the hotel is couples of middle age 30-45 years old, there are practically no families with children, although no one forbids bringing them here. Here you can meet Americans, British, Japanese, Arabs and Russian-speaking people. This hotel is clearly not suitable for lovers of all kinds of parties (discotheques, competitions, animators are completely absent). Although, from the neighboring island, we periodically heard the command cries of vacationers, there, I think, this was in abundance.
A few words about the staff. This hotel does not have a reception at all, that is, it is marked on the map, but there are never guests there, and no one goes there. Each room is assigned its own Guest Relations Officer whose only function is to communicate with the guests attached to it and satisfy their needs. He meets at the airport, settles in a villa, relocates, if the client wishes, to another villa (as in our case), books SPA, diving, restaurants, etc.
For each such officer, there are no more than 2 villas. By the way, there are about 250 staff members in 45 villas on the island. Each restaurant will assign a waiter to you for the duration of your stay. No one gives you bills - your GRO collects them and presents them upon eviction. I will add that the prices for everything here are by no means small, food, SPA and diving here will be more expensive than many other hotels. For example, diving for a beginner, the 1st dive costs $180, the 2nd and subsequent dives $130, for a certified diver - $95.
Now about the pleasant, I can say without exaggeration that the online descriptions of this hotel, which I will not repeat here due to their availability, largely correspond to reality, in particular, here is the best cuisine I have ever tried. There are 2 restaurants and 2 bars on the island.
The cuisine is equally good everywhere, but the most delicious, oddly enough, turned out to be a buffet, which in the evenings is only 2 times a week, the rest of the time you have to order from the menu. The service is top-notch everywhere, be sure that neither the waiters nor the administrators will leave you unattended, who, if the client wishes, come up and are happy to maintain small talk on any topic, the main thing is that your English allows.
As for the villas. Even the cheapest option is a cottage of a very decent size, which has a bedroom, a terrace on the second floor with a table and 4 chairs and a double daybed. Lots of pillows everywhere.
In addition, there is a huge bathroom, which is also a wardrobe, from which you can go to an open shower, as well as go down the stairs to the ocean, but not in the open, but in a fenced with a special fence (so-called "private area") where you can swim naked , without fear of going to jail, according to the prohibitions of the Maldivian state. In addition, there is a terrace above the water with 2 sun loungers and, in some versions, with two double couches.
Given the small number of rooms, it seems that the entire island is at your sole disposal, you see other guests mainly during breakfast and dinner. Sun loungers and hammocks are always free on the beach and around the pool. No one runs, as, for example, the Germans in Turkish hotels like to do, at 6 o'clock in the morning take a place near the pool. And, to be honest, I didn’t see a single German here, it’s a little expensive for their greed.
In general, more than enough for a comfortable stay. In addition, the accommodation includes: unlimited internet, rental of windsurfing and boats without a motor, rental of masks and fins, depending on the tour, a certain type of service in the SPA, a visit to the gym, as well as other "compliments" that are hard to remember right away.
The only thing that can spoil the mood is the weather in the low season.
In general, the impression is more than positive.
