"Anantara Kihavah Villas" in the Maldives is considered a 5-star hotel. Maybe. But only when it comes to interior design. We bought a ticket here in advance. Booked 3 water villas. Paid. But about the services provided by the partners of the hotel, in particular the diving center, they found out by phone. They asked about renting a yacht, about dive sets. We were given the following information: the cost of 4 dives (1 dive set) will cost us about 360 dollars (rounded up to make it easier to understand what happened). Each dive over a set is already about 30% cheaper. Simple math 360/4=90 c. u. , sets over 90-30.60 c. u. This is only a children's dive set. Adult is more expensive. We figured out how much we will rest, how long we will swim with an instructor, how much we will ride on a yacht. In principle, we only went here because of diving.
We arrived and were shown to our rooms. There are no questions at all. Everything is very nice, neat, comfortable. Paradise is real. There were no claims. Our fabulous vacation ended on the very first trip to the dive center. It seems to be such a polite and caring manager, the instructor is just a sweetheart… But when they brought us the bill, in which the cost of 1 dive was calculated as 2, we were very surprised. To put it simply, instead of counting less since the fifth dive, they counted almost twice as much. Moreover, they didn't even count our set. A set of 4 dives was calculated inexplicably. We did not manage to calculate how much money they took from us. We thought it included 8% state tax and 10% hotel fee. But moving away from the euphoria of the vacation and counting, we realized that nothing fits together at all. The invoices contained incomprehensible amounts for services that we did not actually use! By the way, the same story ended up with the payment of the yacht.
I understand that we thoughtlessly signed all the checks, but still !! ! The husband said that this would not work, why should we hunch back all year, so that we would then be poked in the face like this. And we went to the manager of this ill-fated dive center. What was our surprise when he began to refuse and did not even provide us with a price list. She said that we discussed everything individually with him. Then we asked to be shown all the services that we allegedly negotiated, and provided their cost in the official price list. Naturally, no one has done anything like this! Nobody even bothered to apologize!
Then we decided to go higher. We contacted the hotel manager. He, to our regret, turned out to be "neither fish nor fowl. " In general, we flew away - with nothing. Returning home, they began to call the dive center again. I wanted at least an apology, I wanted them to admit their fraud. BUT we were told that our issue was closed: the checks were signed, and the manager himself quit. And no one else will raise a “storm in a teacup”.
In total, in "Anantara Kihavah Villas" we were deceived for 16.000 USD!! ! If you don't want to be scammed, don't come here!! !
Arrived early. Wonderful weather. Everything is like in a fairy tale, transfer to the hotel by boat for half an hour. We specifically chose so as not to race for 2 hours after the plane. There was no noise from the seaplanes, although the agency warned that it could happen. Sunset number, i. e. sunset. The view is insanely beautiful. By the way, the sunrise-sunrise room was cheaper. The room is really big, the houses are nice, the territory is clean. Dinner was served to me with a friend by candlelight, the food is insanely delicious: prawns in pineapple, spices to choose from were brought by the chef. All in all, top notch. At night, the ocean was lit up and you could see a bunch of crabs running towards the light, a sight not for the faint of heart, but funny.
I liked the fact that there were not many Russians. I didn't see any sharks or rays either, and thank God, those who are afraid to swim are not the "one" ideal place-)).
