At the hotel, not a single request of the guest will be left without attention. Even if you applied to the wrong address, your request will be brought to the attention of the relevant personnel and it will be fulfilled within the period indicated to you when applying. This is very important! The hotel has Russian-speaking employees: at the reception - Oksana, in the main restaurant Vela and in the French restaurant Etesien - Alexey and Asiet, the chef of the photographers - Alexander. Hello everyone, especially Asenka! In general, those who do not speak English will not have any problems. I really liked the fact that all the staff greet you, and not just for show, as they do in Turkey or Europe, but sincerely, looking into your eyes. Room cleaning 2 times a day. The island is very well maintained: they clean, sweep, waste sand, take care of palm trees, coconuts and other trees. The beach is wonderful on both sides of the island, from the side of dawn there is a nuance, a marina for boats and the proximity of the industrial zone, but this does not make any significant adjustments for relaxation. The hotel has several restaurants, bars and a pizzeria. We chose the Chill bar next to our villa during the day, drinking delicious beer served with olives marinated with oranges, mmmm... ) Also, everything is worth trying there, but especially squids. In the evening we went to all the restaurants, especially Etesien and Tempanyaki. This is the first hotel in the world where I really want to return.
The hotel is located on a fairly large island, so there will be where to walk and even if it is full. The kitchen is chic, but you won’t be able to overeat lobsters - half and a few oysters in one hand, the rest for an additional fee. The plus of the hotel - not far from Male, and even on a speed boat - is good for those who are afraid to fly on cornfields. We had a Beach Villa without a pool, but those with a pool are no different, except for this paddling pool.
In general, there are certainly little things, but the hotel is fresh and worth the money. I recommend - without unnecessary show-off, but with quality service.
If only you knew how worried I was that it would rain there! sat for days on sites, watched forecasts... which were very disappointing !!!!
In general, I can say with confidence, do not look at the forecasts, do not torture yourself))) There is always a season in the Maldives !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! The rain was once at night, the second time in the evening for 10 minutes!!!! ! and all!!!!
The beauty of the hotel, the beach, the friendliness of the staff and delicious food have been mentioned here more than once! So I won't repeat myself!
We lived in a deluxe bungalow, No. 108! I think that we were very lucky with the location and side of the island! 20 steps to the beach! The room is amazing!
The hotel was full, but all the people seemed to be dissolving somewhere! There is something to do every day! 2 times we went on a boat for snorkeling to other reefs! Be sure to go, the beauty is indescribable (we saw a sunken ship, a huge shark sleeping in a cave, a turtle and millions of beautiful fish), flew by parachute over the island, went to the spa, in the evening they show movies near the pool, and DJs and musicians come to Fen bar!
And who doesn’t need all these entertainments, go to the beach at night, lie down on a sunbed and enjoy the endless starry sky, the sound of the Indian Ocean and your loved one nearby!
Our dream came true, which we sincerely wish you too !!!!!!!
There is so much more to write! So if you have any questions, write, I will be happy to answer!
The infrastructure of the hotel: everything is perfectly comfortable and thought out. Several restaurants with varied cuisine. Clean and deserted beaches (photos are obtained as on a desert island : -)). Tennis court, library, gym, water activities. . Well, wonderful tropical greenery and crystal clear ocean. Everything is super! Wi-fi zone throughout the island, which is very convenient. Even from 18:00 to 19:00 they poison the island from insects, I recommend not to leave the room.
Well, and little things... For example, alcohol for very space prices 0.5 Russian standard vodka for $ 250 from a mini bar; they didn’t really understand why the water in the restaurant is for money, and for some reason there are no toothpicks on the tables. Of course, for some this may be global, but for us it is not critical! )))
It is a pity, it was to part with this wonderful beautiful island!! ! I repeat once again - the impressions are not forgotten!! )) I hope our review helped someone, and have a happy holiday!!! )))
Minus - no underwater world near the island. I tried to dive with fins and a mask from all sides of the island, but I didn’t see anything interesting for myself.
Liked the food.
When we decided to go on vacation to the Maldives, we were faced with the question: “Which island, and which hotel is better to go to? ”. Reviews from friends and colleagues did not provide any useful information, so we decided to choose the hotel ourselves. But, let's not get into this jungle, but go directly to the rest itself.
Well, here we are in the Maldives… We are taken by boat (about 30 minutes from the airport) to a tiny island hotel called Velassaru, where we are warmly greeted with soft drinks and wet towels and, immediately, an employee attached to us (with several couples were traveling on a boat, and so each couple, like us, was accompanied by someone), leads us to a villa ALREADY prepared for our arrival! Yes, gentlemen, this is not Egypt and Turkey with the all-inclusive system for you (yes, memories are fresh when you had to literally “knock out” the roof over your head). Well, let's not talk about sad things, but rather tell about the hotel, island, accommodation, service and people who made our vacation so pleasant and unforgettable.
The first and most vivid impression is the island itself! To say that the beauty of this island shocked us is an understatement! An emerald lagoon, fenced off from the ocean by coral reefs, where very beautiful fish live, coconut palms against the backdrop of a bright blue sky, magnolias, white sand........ In general, you can list indefinitely. We can only confirm: ALL THE BEAUTY YOU SEE ON POSTCARDS AND BOOKLETS IS A REALITY, ALL OF THIS EXISTS!!!
As for the hotel. Hotel Velassaru has just opened after renovation and offers different types of accommodation depending on your possibilities. There are: several types of bungalows and villas located both on the beach and on the water, several restaurants with excellent cuisine, a diving center (where you can rent fins and a mask for free), etc.
We settled in a villa, which is considered the best and most comfortable on Velassara - Beach Villa. This is approximately 100 sq. m in area with good air conditioning, modern appliances (TV, DVD, coffee machine, kettle, etc. ), a huge living room, a patio with a shower room, a bathroom with an outdoor shower, a terrace overlooking the beach directly to the ocean... Full solitude and silence, no one interferes with anyone. The villa is cleaned 2 times a day quietly and imperceptibly, which is even nice to thank the employee who does this a little. Our villa was cleaned by Hasan. Hi Hassan and thanks for the service!
The hotel employees are very pleasant, friendly, always smiling when they meet and, wanting to do something nice, they try to greet you in Russian. Eh! Ours are everywhere! Speaking of ours: there are not so many of them, mostly Spaniards, British, Germans rested there. There were also many Koreans (to our considerable surprise), who, to the point of stupefaction and fanaticism, took pictures at each palm tree, changing hats, dresses, swimwear, etc. In general, the audience was worthy. But back to the staff. As already said, everyone is very polite and helpful from the manager to the janitor. We were surprised when we learned that the staff is quite large - about 250 people of 17 nationalities. Mostly from India, Bangladesh, Polynesia, Indonesia, and even from Russia. This is a very nice girl Olya. She works at the reception and helps our people who do not have a language, i. e. those who do not know any language other than their own. We take this opportunity to send her a big hello and if possible, next time bring even more magazines in Russian.
Among the hotel employees who came from India, there were several people with whom it was possible to talk on a common topic - India. They were from different cities in India, and exactly from those where we were on business trips. In general, it was like a conversation between fellow countrymen who met at the edge of the Earth, and who had something to say to each other. It was very nice and touching. . .
And, once again, we take this opportunity to send a huge hello to Anil. This is the manager who showed us the island, different bungalows, talked about the hotel and invited us to spend the sunset with a glass of champagne, and also made a present on behalf of the hotel, offering to live in a villa on the water in order to compare living on the water and on the shore. Hello Anil! Once again, thank you very much for your kind attitude towards us! We hope to come again and try to settle in the same villa
Well, that's all we remember our vacation at the Velassaru hotel. We advise you to go and also have a good rest. Believe me, for such a vacation you don’t feel sorry for money and time.
By the way, as it later became clear, for the most expensive room in the hotel (No. 119), $ 500-700 was paid extra per day, “ours”, whom we had never seen on the beach, settled there.
Number.
Ours is under number 170, a two-story house with 4 rooms. We are on the 1st floor. Standard, shower, bath, air conditioning, double bed with extra bed, no TV, kettle, tea, coffee, cream, sugar, unlimited drinking water.
Shampoo, soap, towel changed often, like 2 times a day, everything is imperceptible.
Quickly changed, unpacked things - and went to the beach.
The beach from the door of the room - 10 meters, the ocean - 20 m....
They rushed to swim immediately, childishly, selflessly. From the outside, it looks like 3 small children… We didn’t notice how the downpour started…. Warm… It was very unusual to swim in the rain. I often observed such a phenomenon - it is raining somewhere, but the sun is shining here, or we have a cloud, but somewhere the sun..... Rain in the Maldives is not a problem - but this must be understood there! And finally, in the evening - a bath, a shower and a trip to a restaurant...
Restaurant.
The so-called buffet - rich, tasty, every dish is tastefully done!
But this is not Turkey for you, Lord, where there is a continuous glutton... There is enough of everything here: meat, fish, chicken, etc. I am not a gourmet, but I will give a few words below to the restaurant and the chef. When we first visited the restaurant, we were immediately given a table, which was “ours” for the entire period of our stay, it is very convenient and calm, you don’t have to strain when the hall is full, you don’t have to take a table, your look is enough for the waiter - and he’s right there, etc. . d. In the evening, they often didn’t finish drinking water at dinner, they left it on the table, and it stood peacefully until breakfast, until dinner!
Tips were left every 3-4 days for $5 on the table. . . Porter - $1, rumba - every morning $1.
After dinner - bypass cafes, bars, shops, reception, and return to the room. We take bedding - and on the night beach - count the stars! The sky is clear, the stars are bright, the constellations are expressive! There were very bright shooting stars, and all this - under the sound of the ocean! Relaxation and dreams, romance and warmth of the soul there! The flashlight came in handy - I chased crabs and ran after them like a child, that's entertaining! They are there - apparently invisible! You sit at such moments on the ocean shore under the starry sky with the whole family and enter a state of trance and feelings of love and harmony with nature and your family, unite together! This feeling visited me here for the first time! I can't name it! Perhaps this is a whim or bliss, or maybe just love in this expression.....
………and finally, the first Maldivian night! I didn’t wake up before the clock signal, but the air conditioner heard at night how it turned on (put it on standby). The nights are calm there, but in the morning these pelican herons and flying foxes (flying mice in our opinion) scream. Sometimes they shout loudly, share something and jump noisily along the branches! They don’t care about us, they just live there, and we are only 2 weeks in this paradise! This is how our 1st day of living on the island of Velassaru passed. And those tourists are right, in whose reviews I read that time in the Maldives stops and drags on for a very long time and slowly, as if helping us to dissolve in this beautiful world, where you feel the harmony of nature and beauty!
