Neighbors are mostly Germans. The staff is friendly, responsive. There is no Russian anywhere at all, but everyone understands an elementary set of on-duty phrases in English. I am not a specialist in a foreign language, but remembering the school curriculum, I did not feel the language barrier. Clean, cleaning every day, change of linen and towels is regular, even considering that I was alone - towels were hung up every time in two sets. (If anyone doubts, before the trip she dyed her hair and the paint floated slightly... so it was elementary to distinguish a new towel from an old one). Tipping left 2 euros every other day. Each time, a business card remained in place of the coin: Your room was served by... (name of the maid)... Balconies with sea views - in all rooms !! ! The territory is large, well-groomed. The beach was "combed" every morning, the sun loungers were lined up in neat two rows. . . During the day, of course, everything was disturbed - it moved after the sun. . . but the next morning - all again in a line. They fed very well - meat, fish, and even a rabbit))) Ice cream, sweets... Very good white wine. In the bar from local whiskey, rum or liquors, the boys made wonderful cocktails))) The sea is clean and very, very warm... Own beach - in Malta, this is far from everywhere, as far as I understand. A tiny souvenir shop near the lobby - the price tags are very humane. I did not dare to rent a car, given the "otherworldly" movement. Malta itself is a topic for a separate post! Awesome!! ! From excursions I took a trip to Mdina (delighted! ), Sicily by ferry (I also highly recommend). Valletta and a bunch of other towns - I went by myself, on a regular bus (the island is small, the ticket is valid all day) - the impressions are also beyond praise! ))). And churches everywhere. . .

The geographical position and the formation of the island determine other conditions for the water temperature in the sea - the currents are cold, not higher than 20-22 degrees. The hotel itself is like a long, long corridor along the coast, overlooking the sea. We took the all inclusive. They have an interesting one - they always write a check both in a bar and in a restaurant, but they warn that they say this is for a report, you don’t owe us anything. It was annoying at first, but then they suddenly stopped writing and just let go of the bracelet. What is included in the system, I never fully figured out: today one ice cream is free, and tomorrow another ice cream is free, complete nonsense. Beach towels will not be given, only for 1.50 euros. The room was cleaned well, linen and bath towels were changed almost every day or every other day. The staff is kind, they always try to understand you, even in Russian with monosyllabic English words. The pool bar worked alone and there was always a queue, the other pool did not work. There is no bar on the beach. there are sun loungers and umbrellas until 9 am and after 3 pm, who didn’t have time, go to the pool or to the concrete slab (with sunbeds and umbrellas).
We managed to catch the yellow buses and even ride them, they were replaced by green ones with air conditioners.
But Malta and even this hotel is much better and cleaner than Turkey and Egypt.

If you order a lunch package for the next day, check it the night before. In the morning it may not be available (they forgot to write it down / give it to the shifter, etc. ). Summer English teachers - by 80% - are teachers of physics, mathematics, etc. And in the summer they earn extra money for us fools. And we went because of our daughter, so that she could practice there and the English school. take a look(!! ). Disappointed. Travel service is disgusting. No historical information. The most disgusting guide was in Sicily: "Angelina Jolie was here, and she ate 8 Sicilian pizzas" (this is about a trip to Sicily). Virgil wrote the Odyssey and the Iliad at Anna's guide. (and we thought Homer!! ). "Now let's stop at this restaurant and we'll quickly buy ice cream / pizza / etc. . Cruise around Malta is not recommended. We had a windy day, a strong bow roll, half of the group lay with vomit bags. One young lady lost consciousness and had to moor to Gozo, call an ambulance, which took the young lady unconscious and took her to a local hospital. I liked Valletta. Summary: once a trip to Malta is worth it. But the second time there is nothing to do. And this is definitely not the place to learn English.
