When choosing a vacation spot in Montenegro, our tour operator offered several options, including Budva, Becici, etc. We chose the village of St. Stefan and did not regret it.
Naturally, it is worth noting that if you are a fan of nightlife, noisy companies and discos until the morning, then St. Stefan is definitely not for you. But if all this does not interest you, then St. Stefan is the best place for a sea holiday in Montenegro, and it cannot be compared with other beach resorts in this country.
The beaches are cleaner, there are an order of magnitude fewer people than in other Montenegrin resorts. On the right side of the island of St. Stephen there is a path along which you can freely walk along the coast. An insane number of varieties of coniferous trees are planted there. These walks are especially pleasant in the evenings, when the aroma of pine needles and the sea breeze is felt especially sharply.
As for the villa itself.
Since we were in Montenegro for the first time, it is still quite difficult to judge the price / quality ratio for this particular country. I will try to describe in detail what I liked and what I didn’t, well, you can already judge whether you agree to put up with the shortcomings for the price offered.
Room: We had a room without a balcony. Overall, a comfortable room. However, if possible, I still recommend taking a room with a balcony. For us, the presence of a balcony has never been fundamental, since usually on vacation you only appear in the room to change clothes or spend the night, and there is no time to even go to the balcony.
However, in the rooms without a balcony of this villa there is a significant drawback - drying of bathing accessories is not provided. Also, the ventilation in the bathroom is completely inefficient for drying anything, including the towels in the room. In order to dry them, we had to constantly hang them / lay them out all over the room. Perhaps someone can object to me about what I want for that kind of money. But, frankly, I believe that no matter how budget the option of staying in a hotel / apartment, etc. , when it comes to a beach holiday, then all rooms should be equipped with the appropriate devices necessary for drying beach accessories. Perhaps this is the only drawback of the room. Everything else was perfect for us. Clean, cleaned every day, regularly changed linen.
Meals: Breakfast is quite modest. If you do not follow any diet, then you will not stay hungry. However, there is no such choice. As a rule, this is either an omelette, or something like a casserole, or scrambled eggs, as well as fried sausages. Plus one or two types of sausage, one type of cheese, cereal. From fruits: apples, sometimes watermelon.
In general, the hotel is quite comfortable. The hostess is friendly and responsive. On the day of check-out, she allowed us to stay until the very departure, since new tourists did not come to our room that day.
In addition, I would like to write a few words about traveling around Montenegro.
We bought two excursions from our travel agent, and also went on our own to Budva and Bar. Based on this experience, as well as after talking with other tourists who vacationed with us, but visited other excursions offered by a travel agent, I can say that the only excursion that you can not only buy, but also need to safely buy, is the “Pirate trip » (excursion around the Bay of Kotor). It includes a walk along the old Kotor, as well as a boat trip along the Bay of Kotor. On your own, you will never in your life have time to go around as many awesome places as are included in the tour. In addition, as many interesting things as were told on this excursion, you will also never read on the Internet. Those who were not on this excursion said that why pay 50 euros for it if you can rent a boat in Budva for 17 euros, which will also take you around the bay. Take a ride, of course you will, but I doubt that they will be able to tell and show you all the beauties and historical values of this bay the way a guide does.
At the same time, after this excursion, I still recommend that you come to the old Kotor separately and wander there for a day. The territory there is very large. Lots of interesting places to see. Since you will spend about an hour on the tour in old Kotor, the guide will tell you the most interesting facts about the city and advise you on what you should see in more detail. However, there will be no time for this during the tour.
During the “Pirate Journey” excursion, it was proposed to swim to the Blue Grotto for an additional small fee. At first we were skeptical about this, but then at the last moment we still went. Bottom line: Montenegro is a very beautiful country, but all its beauties simply pale in comparison with the beauty of the Blue Grotto. Just don’t sit in the boat when you drive up, but be sure to float into the grotto on your own, and then you will understand what I mean.
As for other excursions, I have not heard of one that I would like. You directly went on a bus tour "3 Canyons". Its only plus is that in a day you manage to see almost all the key sights of Montenegro, albeit in a hurry. If you have the opportunity to allocate 2 or 3 days to visit the same places, then it is definitely better to rent a car. The places are so beautiful that you want to wander around them for several hours, and not 20 minutes, as they give on excursions.
In addition, when you spend 10 hours out of 12 hours on the bus, it’s also not very pleasant.

The highlights of the resort: Unlike all other resorts, Budva - Petrovac is NOT a PENGUINARIUM. A free beach along which you can always walk - this was not in any of the above beaches of the resorts. Good:
bathroom, safe, furniture, repair, next to cafes and shops, Wi-Fi on the terrace.
Good resort:
Great Royal Park. Free beach.
Badly:
There is a triple room type with a balcony - don't be fooled - a balcony on the facade of the neighboring hotel.
No view of the island hotel Sun. Stefan even from the terrace (maybe there is on the upper floors, but I don’t know) - only a strip of the sea is visible.
If you are elderly, it is better to take a hotel closer to the beach.
Bad resort:
Lots of yelling-cursing-smoking Russians.

The owner of the villa Jovan named his villa in honor of his wife Vera and two beautiful daughters. I recommend this villa to everyone who loves a quiet, relaxing family vacation, who does not need animators, round-the-clock bars and discos to relax. Now in order. We rested together, a child of 12 years old, number 4, for three, with a view of the mountains, a neighboring villa and a garden, with a small balcony. At first we were upset that there was no sea view, and then we appreciated the silence, coolness and shade throughout the day. And we watched the sea view in the evenings, when we sat on the terrace and drank wine and brandy, which Jovan treated us to.
Meeting. We were met at the airport normally, boarded the bus and, as always, went to take everyone to the hotels. As a result, 30 km drove an hour and a half. On the highway, the owner of the villa, Jovan, met us, moved with suitcases to his Mercedes, and after three minutes of driving we were met at the door by the hostess Vera. She warmly and cordially gave a brief briefing on what keys, what to open, where the sea, shops, restaurants and everything we need to know in order to immediately begin to fully relax.
Hotel. I want to warn everyone right away - this is not a hotel in our full understanding, this is a category "A" villa and the stars can not be counted. The rooms correspond to the rooms of 3 * hotels and that's it. Those. There is everything for a normal stay like in a hotel. Good repair, shower, hair dryer, satellite TV, kettle, dishes and do not try to look for flaws, if you want you will always find them everywhere.
The owners of the villa are not professional hoteliers, they are very pleasant, hospitable people who try to make your stay in their HOUSE enjoyable. Linen change once a week, towels every day.
Breakfast. The usual breakfast of a city hotel, continental, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, sliced sausage and cheese, yogurt-kefir, muesli, juice, tea, coffee, the breakfast menu is approved by the tour operator and is part of the contract with the owners of the villa. Therefore, breakfast is designed for you to run to the beach not hungry. Satisfy gastronomic delights in restaurants. Much has been written about local restaurants, so I recommend the Maxim restaurant in Budva. It is located on the outskirts of Budva, not far from the bus station on the street of some proletarian brigade (one block from the bus station towards the mountains). Service at the level, the kitchen is super (Photo of dishes from there), it's just that there are fewer tourists (including ours)
Excursions and travel. If you have a license - only by car. Next to the villa, the agency "Levantin", took a Toyota Yaris for two days, 100 euros and that's it. Without collateral from Budva, the Diva agency drove a car to this agency, they returned it there, they didn’t even look at the car for any problems, they asked for the whole headlights and that’s it. We went to Zabljak. It is similar to the Carpathians, only everything is civilized, wild forest, nature and asphalt paths. Canyon of the Tara River, Ostrog only by car, director himself.
But without a car you won’t see so much, you won’t be shown all the beauty from the bus. Neighbors in the fillet praised the "Pirate Tour" around the Bay of Kotor very much, we went to Kotor by bus for 3 euros and 25 minutes.
Departure. The bus picked us up at 14-40, despite the fact that the rooms had to be vacated at 10-00, the hostess told us that guests would be brought to her at 15-00, until 14-00 we can be in the room. We got out of the room at 13-30, Vera got us on the road and fed us, arranged a second breakfast for us.
Summary The vacation was a success and I recommend the BMW villa, only one nuance is smile at people, communicate, be kinder and everything will be fine with you.

The country is a large park, if you want the sea, if you want, after 200 km there are already canyons and mountains with snow. We lived in St. Stephen at the BMW villa. We traveled with a child of 1 year and ran around the whole country.

In general, the impression of the villa is quite positive: clean, clean, recently renovated. Photos of the villa on the Internet and on the website of the villa are true. As promised, every day we cleaned the room, changed towels, changed the bed linen on the 3rd day (we were there for 7 nights). The warm water was constant. The equipment room has: satellite TV (Russian 1 channel, no Ukrainian), air conditioning, electric kettle, refrigerator, table lamps, safe. Wi-Fi is available on the villa, but it is only possible on the ground floor near the reception. We caught Wi-Fi also on the edge of the balcony (3 floors). On the balcony table, chairs, separate lighting, socket. The triple room has a view of the neighboring villa (well, a little on the mountain).
But for two adults with a child it is better, I think, to take not a triple room, but a 2 + 1 room with a balcony - these rooms have large balconies with gorgeous sea views. In front of the villa is a large terrace with tables overlooking the sea - we had breakfast and beer there. Breakfasts, in my opinion, so-so (buffet: fried eggs / sausages / pies, salad, sausage, cheese, oil, honey, milk, yogurt, juice, tea, coffee, bananas, apples, oranges and maybe something else forgot ). The owners understand Russian - there were no problems with communication. I think the price / quality ratio is better here than in the seaside resorts of Ukraine. I recommend for a quiet family vacation.

It even has porridge for breakfast))) - it was important for us because we rested with a small child. And one more thing - be prepared that no one can help you with pulling your luggage up the stairs to the room, and the stairs there are very steep. I probably wouldn't go to this hotel again. But I will definitely come back to Sveti Stefan)))
