Atlantic Palace 5*/Atlantic Palace 5*
I liked the hotel very much with its decoration, simply unrealistic ceilings and walls in the lobby and the huge territory of the hotel itself. Getting inside the hotel, pictures of 1001 nights and childhood tales about the East immediately pop up.
Everything blooms, smells, in the morning you wake up outside the window, birds sing. Fabulous
The service is quite decent, they changed the linen every day when we were not in the room (tipped the maid 5 dirhams daily). On the first day of arrival brought water and fruit.
The famous Moroccan green tea was poured at the reception before check-in… the taste is amazing!!
They only took breakfast. But the breakfasts were good. There is a variety of menus. Buffet. The French croissants were especially impressive. I live in Moscow, but I have never tried such delicious croissants anywhere.
Bad impression from the Russian-speaking administrator of the hotel - Natalia. Her image didn’t match with the image of the administrator at all, sorry.
When we arrived, she said that you can’t swim in the ocean, that there was a storm, the whole sandy beach was covered, the sun loungers were washed away and what’s going on there, don’t go there, otherwise you never know... But we are like true Russians, who, in principle, don’t care for everything except an interesting cultural program, the next day we went to the ocean - to see. And there....a beautiful clean ocean, warm, soft sand....mmm . . in short, not a dream, not a spirit about any storm....
It is clear that the administrator may have benefited from us sitting at the hotel by the pool and spending money inside the hotel, but such outright lies and imposition became very disgusting.
It is also not a very good impression that the travel agency did not inform that there is a discount + gift program in the hotel for honeymooners (according to Natalia this, an improved room, + spa program and something else). They said this at the hotel itself, asking for a certificate from the travel agency... But in the end, after all the clarifications, explanations, calls to the travel agency and other things, they didn’t give us anything. They brought fruit only to the room, but it was still nice). We didn’t investigate further, because it’s still a honeymoon trip, and it should be good and calm, and there’s no need to overshadow it with all sorts of showdowns with the staff, especially since our room, although standard, was very cozy
SPA in the hotel is terribly expensive. On the advice of the guests of our hotel, we went to a private institution for spa treatments, massages, etc. The impressions are wonderful.
Excursion - were only in Marrakesh. Beautiful "red" city, as it is called. I really liked Medina. But, to be honest, I think that there is nothing special to see in Morocco... I made this conclusion after studying all the excursion programs in the country, before the trip. In my opinion, Morocco is a country for a beach holiday.
All staff and people in the city speak either French or Arabic. Mostly French. Almost everyone's English is broken, but you can understand each other.
A beautiful country with an interesting culture and color. Delicious argan oil that you can bring home as a gift. Beautiful, bright scarves and shawls. Awesome ocean, great beach!!! )) Delicious local cuisine, I especially remember “tajine kefta”. Friendly locals who even helped get a taxi.
Something like this... if you are in doubt to go, or not to go to Morocco, then my advice is to go. Perhaps you will be disappointed by the hotel, the staff, the organization of something, but the country itself, the ocean, the air and the people, I am sure will not make you think badly about this country.
The hotel is located about 20-25 minutes from the airport (airplanes can not be heard)) It is located on the second line. From the beginning it upset me, but then I realized that this is a huge plus!! ! This hotel is for those who really want to relax body and soul, not for parties!!!
The hotel is really like in a fairy tale about Aladdin, the territory is huge, so it seems that there are few people. Everything is in flowers and palm trees, clean. When you enter the hotel, the door is opened for you, everyone smiles and says hello. All staff communicate only in English, French and Arabic! Everyone is very friendly. When you check in, you are given a small bottle of drinking, chilled water, mint tea, and a towel moistened with flower water, so that you get your face and hands wet. Check-in at 14.00 which we were afraid of, but we were settled immediately as soon as we arrived. Yes, they didn’t let us drag the suitcase from the bus either))), good-natured staff, brought the suitcase to us. While riding the bus we were told that we did not have time for breakfast. But having met us at the reception, we were met by the manager of this hotel, Natasha. A very pleasant and kind woman. She told, showed, conducted, explained everything. She said that they would let us in for breakfast without any problems, because they have breakfast from 5 am to 11 am !!! ! Which is very convenient! And so the room: the room is quite normal, everything in the bathroom is in rose petals, soap accessories (set) towels, bathrobes and slippers, flowers in a vase, a large bottle of drinking water (The thing is that you need to buy water, because from you can’t drink under the tap and no one will let you take it out from the table, but you always want to drink, especially since it’s hot there) and a box of cookies. The room has a TV, hairdryer, two large beds, an armchair, a table, a large table, a balcony (chairs and a table), a safe for free, air conditioning, ... a mini bar - for a fee! Cleaned every day, towels were also changed every day. They gave as many as 3 robes, although there were two of us))) Everyone is very friendly, everyone greets, smiles when you pass by!
There are not so many people in the open pool, there are three boys who carry towels, open umbrellas, etc.
We had half board meals (breakfast, dinner) You can change (breakfast, lunch). The food for breakfast is very tasty, but unlike dinner, it is monotonous. A lot of fruits are simply delicious (we got into the watermelon season - it's just a treat), lots of delicious pastries. Freshly squeezed juices, cheeses, vegetables. We didn't go to dinner, so nothing to say. I only know if you take lunch for a fee, it is a little expensive! Dinner: dinner is something!! ! I have never seen such diversity! Firstly, I’ll say right away the French chef under his leadership, amazing dishes (we even came up on the last day and said thanks to him) Many types of meat, potatoes, vegetables, salads, seafood, herbs, sauces, pickles, different types of fish, with different sauces... mmmm. And desserts - well, just can not convey! Everything is oooooooooooooo delicious. Drinks are really paid, but only for dinner even water, ordinary drinking, and much more expensive. Everything will be brought to you, removed, replaced.
The hotel has thalassotherapy. We didn't go there, so I can't say. But the people went and more than once!
Once again I repeat from the fact that this hotel is for those who came to relax to recover. Because this hotel is considered one of the best in Agadir, there is mainly one elite resting there (many French and Germans), there are few Russians. There are no parties and parties, a booth and drunken faces. it's all very civil. And you really feel relaxed there. We had the opportunity to go to a hotel located nearby (we had a Coral Tevel meeting there), and that’s where just some drunken Russians swarm simply, music yells, everyone runs, drinks, eats....ohh horror like in Turkey or Egypt! ! ! But here everything is different.
The hotel does not have its own beach, but they agreed with a nearby 5 * hotel to rent a beach from them, because they are on the first line. There is a small fenced beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, they give you towels there, also all the friendly people don’t let anyone in there (there are a lot of merchants on the beach) There is a guard who turns all strangers around at once! From the Atlantic they go every hour from 11.00 to 17.00 with their own shuttle (like a bus) that takes them to this beach for free and picks them back every hour too! But we walked back along the birch very quickly and not as hot as along the promenade.
The territory is so huge that you can’t find out everything at once))). In general, the hotel is one of the best. I advise everyone to relax!
