Ocean: if you want to swim in turquoise water in a relaxed way, then you are definitely not on the west coast. Here the ocean is raging. The waves are constant, they do not subside at all. The ocean is grey-green. But maybe we're just unlucky. Or someone likes to jump on the waves.
Hotel: small in itself. Has no territory. There is only a hotel and a pool. The pool has 2 sunbeds for all residents. But you can easily bring a table and chairs to the pool, you just have to ask. The hotel is located in a small village. The closest market and supermarket is in the center of Wadduwa 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes tuk tuk ride. A large market and a supermarket are located in Panadura (15-20 minutes by tuk-tuk). I advise you to take breakfast and dinner, because. There are few places to eat in the town itself. Not to mention cheap food. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, 2 sausages, toast with jam and butter, and fruit.
Rooms: normal. Clean, bright. The bed is large, the air conditioner is powerful, the bathroom is good. The only downside is the railroad. It is located right next to the hotel. Trains run every 2-4 hours. And if during the day it doesn’t matter, then at night and in the early morning it is well felt. We consistently woke up every night 1-3 times.
Service: all at the highest level. The employees try very hard to please. Always smiling. Communicated with them either by gestures, or in semi-English, or through an interpreter in their native Sinhalese language.
Wi-fi was, but caught very badly. It's easier to buy a card and sit on 4G.
Conclusion: the hotel itself is good, just located in a bad location. Next time we will definitely go south. Everything is 100 times more beautiful and comfortable there.
