In Sri Lanka, in principle, 5 * should not be expected, everything was in the style of the Sri Lankans. There were great hosts, they helped in everything, we rented a bike from hotels, they called, agreed, they prepared food for us for a fee. This is a closed T-shaped hotel, so the rooms look at the rooms, there are no windows overlooking the sea. The breakfasts were quite European. There is complete solitude with nature, there is no animation. Alcohol is good, but alcohol is sold in specialized stores. Just next to the hotel there is a wine shop. The ocean is across the road. The beach is public, you can rent a sun lounger for a fee, or if you dine in a restaurant, you can use it for free.

The road to Unawatuna takes 4 hours, an hour through Colombo, a little over an hour to the autobahn and the rest of the time along the coast through Hikkaduwa and Galle. The tour was from TPG, hosted by Ceylon My Dream (PVT) LTD, to be honest, a little hell!
I met a guide with a request to share bacon, sausage, black bread, who is rich in what. They treated me, asked questions a couple of times on viber, without an answer. There was a frank boor back, who flew in from Annex did not see any guides at all, once they did.
When I got off the bus, I wanted to go home! At first we did not understand where we were! Room 3 + 3 meters, cabinet with a mirror, built-in something with a shelf, a luxurious bed and a shared bathroom. There is no closet, 6 rooms without a closet! There is a mandula knocked down from 5 sticks, more like drying. But it's clean, the bed is fresh, there are no insects, and there weren't for 12 days, mosquitoes don't count. Before you come here, find out in which room you were sold a tour!!!! ! There are rooms with a kitchen, a kettle, everything you need, there is nothing. We were in a two-story building, the owners and guests live in the 3-story building. Guests listen to mantras, frequent drinking bouts (the locals are very fond of fire water), which causes certain inconveniences.
Now about the good: the beach is nearby, 5 minutes walk, the liquor store is very close, the buses are normal and cheap, we traveled to all the beaches to Mirissa. It is impossible to compare Sri Lanka with Egypt or Turkey, everything is different here. People are very kind and helpful, the service is lame, the humidity is crazy, but you get used to it quickly. They took breakfast, eggs in different ways, jam, butter, toast, fruit, tea. The whole family lives and works in the hotel, they try, the safe is only in the lobby, there is a huge bank. For two weeks, nothing was missing in the room, they come to clean it when you are there, they don’t come in themselves. You can buy any seafood, they will cook it for you for a small fee, very tasty!
Unawatuna beach is sandy and rocky, there is nothing to see in a mask. If you walk min. 15-20 in Delahuele Beach, a lagoon with turtles, waist-deep water and big turtles come all day long, it's something! We met sea snakes, a lot of fish and sea urchins.
In the description of the hotel there are sun loungers and beach towels, this option is not! Don't believe! But if you understand where and in what conditions you are going, then in general it’s very good.
