After reading a review about this hotel on the website before traveling to Sri Lanka, we panicked and rushed to the tour operator with a request to change the hotel in Colombo for us, but there were no other free hotels for this period, and we decided that we would somehow suffer for 2 nights. We rested in Sri Lanka for 2 weeks and during this period we managed to visit 7 hotels (2 beach and 4 along the way) and the Ramada Colombo hotel was the last hotel before leaving home.

After reading a review about this hotel on the website before traveling to Sri Lanka, we panicked and rushed to the tour operator with a request to change the hotel in Colombo for us, but there were no other free hotels for this period, and we decided that we would somehow suffer for 2 nights. We rested in Sri Lanka for 2 weeks and during this period we managed to visit 7 hotels (2 beach and 4 along the way) and the Ramada Colombo hotel was the last hotel before leaving home. Approaching the hotel, we were preparing for the worst, but when we saw the doorman opening the door, entering the spacious and beautiful hall and receiving the key to the room within 5 minutes, we cheered up and went to the room hoping for the best. Having opened the doors, we saw a picture that we didn’t even hope for after reading negative reviews - a very clean room, spacious, with good and beautiful furniture. Two large beds, a desk with an armchair, two armchairs and a coffee table, a large dressing table, a luggage rack, a wardrobe and a tea and coffee making area (tea, coffee, cream and water were replenished daily). I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a safe, and a large bathroom, in addition to mini perfumes presented as usual, they were also available - a comb, a nail file, toothbrushes with paste, a shaving machine and ear sticks. After a couple of minutes, a hotel representative came and asked if everything suits us, maybe we want a bigger bed? In the evening, before going to bed, they brought us a kind of good night wish - a chocolate candy in an individual box. Our price included breakfast (buffet), there is a lot of food, very varied both for European and local tastes. We went to the pool, also very clean, although the trestle bed could have been updated.
The location of the hotel is very good if you want to stay in downtown Colombo. The promenade is 2 minutes from the hotel and all the attractions of Colombo are within easy reach.
Summary: an excellent hotel (it should be said that our room was standard), if you plan to stay in Colombo, you can safely choose this hotel.
