Just returned from Sri Lanka and immediately decided to write a review about the rest.

We stopped our choice of hotel at the Mermaid Hotel. The tour was bought in the company Update. RU. It was possible to buy a tour directly at the hotel (there is no difference in terms of money). The tour was bought without a transfer. Flights were purchased directly from Air Arabia.
We bought air tickets one and a half to two months before departure, we bought hotel accommodation three weeks in advance. I was not worried about the availability of rooms at the hotel, because I had previously contacted the hotel directly and they assured me that there would be no problems with the places for the specified period.
Finally, we waited for the long-awaited departure date. We flew from Kyiv to Sharjah, there are 2 hours before the flight to Colombo. We went to Duty Free. Checked in and waited for departure.

Passed passport control, and the question arose with the transfer to the hotel. There are many taxi stands at the airport.

We loaded our things into the car and left the airport. The distance to the hotel is about 80 - 100 km, in time it is 2 hours. The average speed with which they go there is 50-70 km / h. While driving, we had to get into a head-on accident a couple of times, but this, fortunately, did not happen. It turns out that it is normal for Sri Lanka to go into the oncoming lane and at the last moment return to your lane.
We arrived at the hotel around 7:00 am. At the reception, we were met by a hotel employee and immediately began to arrange our settlement at the hotel. While the decoration was going on, they brought us a glass of juice.
