Came with a group already 5 times. The value for money has always been excellent. I have also been to other hotels in Sri Lanka, but over the past 7 years I have always returned to this hotel. Upon arrival, everything was as usual, we waited a bit, got a room and the rest began. In the room, everything is unchanged, though every year the rooms are a little more dead, but not critical.

There was no ironing board when we checked in, the TV didn't work, but everything was brought in and repaired when we checked in. They began to clean the room much worse, except for a made bed and a change of towels, nothing is washed... yet... and it is not noticed, everything on the balcony is sticky, but not critical, they wiped everything themselves.
The staff is friendly, no problem there. That's what made me surprised, it's food and attitude to it. The hotel has always been famous for its impeccable food and quantity. What I saw subjectively: meat dishes and seafood are many times less, the amount, I mean laid out so that everyone takes very little too, as if they are afraid not to overeat, but not critical. But now about the main thing that made me write this review...
All the years in the country of great tea, it was a choice in bags: green, with bergamot, with lemon, just black, etc. what did I see today? Stupidly, the bags are thrown into a vat of water and they simply constantly add water there and offer their guests to drink this broth. I was very surprised and indignant, I asked for a normal tea in a bag, of course they brought me, but their surprise at the request was even greater. Guys, what the hell is going on? Where is the famous hotel brand? Chips in food, for which we always went, what other hotels lost, it no longer exists...
I will say that I am not a picky tourist, just comparing this hotel with previous years. I really hope that the hotel manager will read the review and rectify the situation. After this story happened, the guests were also perplexed, people came up to me during the day and supported my surprise. Well, in general, if you close your eyes, everything is tolerable, but it’s not comfortable to walk with your eyes closed.
Despite everything, I still recommend the hotel to visit, especially for those who are for the first time. Good luck to everyone, and change to the staff)))

Dear tourists, do not fall into rooms 201-211 or 101-111, the windows of which overlook the household courtyard. where there are huge barrels of water and air conditioners hum. Sleeping in these rooms is impossible! To agree with the administration on relocation to another room with a surcharge costs 30 dollars per day.
