The settlement took place fairly quickly. It was the best offer at the time we were choosing. The room was great, everything worked. The territory is beautiful, ordinary, as everything corresponds to 4 stars. This is a hotel on the 1st line, the beach was close to the room. With the Internet it was so-so, more or less.

But we must expect that in Sri Lanka so everywhere. Food we had breakfast at the hotel, and everything else was on their own. But everything was fine. We got what we expected. Everything corresponds to the reality described on the Internet.

The hotel was picked up by the girls from the agency and we liked it the most. Check-in was on time, everything was perfect and without problems. The hotel was in the center. Were close to 2 types of beach. The area is wonderful, beautiful view. The service was good. During the rest, there were not even any moments that you might not like something, everything was super.

The hotel was chosen according to the duration of the check-in. We arrived at 10 and after 30 minutes we were settled in the room. We went up to the 4th floor along some narrow stairs, and a thought flashed through: God forbid that you can’t escape along it. Room... tin: small, there are no shelves anywhere (neither in the closet, nor in the bedside tables).

I didn't dare to shower barefoot. Shampoo and soap bar only available. 4th here does not smell even with an extreme stretch. Although the staff is friendly. Let's see, we've only just begun our holiday

They didn’t check in right away, they asked to spend the night for 1 night in another hotel, they took me at their own expense, but for that on the trail. the day was given a deluxe for the inconvenience + fed dinner (we paid for the standard and only breakfast). Top floor room with great ocean views. Bathroom accessories only soap, shampoo, shower cap.

Top floor room with great ocean views. Bathroom accessories only soap, shampoo, shower cap. Every day they put two bottles of water 0.5, tea, coffee (free of charge). Breakfast is delicious but not varied. Cleaned in the room every day, but not very good. You can’t swim opposite the hotel, there are corals, you need to swim 100 meters to the left along the beach (if you look at the ocean), huge turtles swim to the right along the beach near the Hikka Trans by Cinnamon hotel, you can also swim with a mask to look at the fish. We liked the food best at J. L. H. (to the right of the hotel towards Hikka Trans). The hotel is full of chipmunks, iguanas walk (not to be confused with monitor lizards), we saw geckos on the balcony.

The hotel is nice, clean and cleaned every day. We only ate breakfast, but these are really normal breakfasts, and not as it happens, you have an ich and a mustache... It’s 10-15 meters to the ocean, in the evenings it’s just great to breathe the breeze. Of the minuses, the hotel is not new for lovers of perfectionism and repair aesthetics will not work.

The hotel has an excellent location and is right in the center of Hikkaduwa. Nearby there are cafes, bars, markets, etc. To the left of the hotel there is a beach with huge waves, to the right there is a quiet lagoon where huge turtles swim every day. The rooms are basic, clean, all with ocean views. Meals were taken only for breakfast, everything is the same as everywhere else: eggs, cheese, sausage, coffee, etc. We didn’t see service as such, it’s kind of inconspicuous)) They cleaned every day, upon check-in we were greeted with cold juice and a wet cold towel.
Of the minuses of the hotel, perhaps, we can note the lack of its own beach (there are shallow and corrals) and the lack of territory as such. There is no green at all. Everything else is just great!

I stayed at this hotel with my family (3 adults 2 children). The holiday was a complete success.
The road from the airport took 3 tiring hours in the early morning. We arrived at the hotel at about 9 am, met with juice and a wet towel, check-in took 20 minutes, without extra charges and extra words. The rooms were on the first floor. The rooms are clean, comfortable, bright and spacious. There was a TV in the room, I had to fight for the refrigerator, they brought it on the second day, there was a shower in the bathroom, and all accessories (soap, shampoo) were replenished as needed. As it turned out later, a monitor lizard of 70 centimeters lived near our balcony, which came to visit us on the balcony to warm up, and sometimes his friend came a little bigger. The children were delighted with what they saw. He didn't bother us and neither did we. On the territory there is a family of palm squirrels who can be hand-fed, they often come running when they see something edible. The hotel area is small but very cozy, a nice warm pool with different depths, there were always enough sun loungers.
The food is just super, everything is very tasty, every day there was something new. Fruit in season is plentiful.
The beach is good but there is no entry into the water, you have to walk a little. On the right side there is a good beach with strong waves, on the left side there is a small lagoon where you can swim with children, if you walk a little further, then there is an excellent beach without waves, where four large turtles swim, which everyone is trying to feed.
Great guy Yasa, beachboy, that on the beach near the hotel is very sociable (speaks English) offers good excursions at a good price. They took one from him and were very satisfied, everything was as promised without surcharges and always made a stop where they asked, and also advised where it was better and cheaper to skimp.
The location of the hotel is just super, there are many cafes across the road, a supermarket and a liquor store.
The staff is responsive and good-natured, all problems are always solved with a smile on their face.
Everyone was satisfied with the rest, even the daughter of 6 years old, although her main requirement was slides with a pool, but here they were not needed.

We were brought to the hotel at 8 am, met with wet towels and offered to have breakfast for 1500 rupees! They settled in the room from one o'clock in the afternoon, offered to pay 35 bucks, but warned that the room would be ready only at 11.30 - we refused, changed (I always take swimwear in hand luggage) took towels and went to the ocean.

We expected a little more from the hotel, the hotels are near LankaSupercorals, Heaven Seven Hikkaduwa and Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon
WIFI. INTERNET in the hotel is good at the reception, on the sunbeds, and in the room it catches but weakly.
HOTEL and NEARBY - the first line. The hotel staff responds to requests and tries, they cleaned the room well, but sometimes not all the towels were laid down - I had to catch and ask. The territory is small, well-groomed. The pool around it is tile, grass, several trees under which sunbeds are located, chipmunks are running around. coconut palms, a few steps and you are in the ocean, after walking 300 meters along the beach to the right, HikkaTrans hotel former ChaayaTranzHikkaduwa 4 * now Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon with turtles. To the left 2 minutes along the Nippon Villa Beach Resort beach there is a beach with waves which we liked this time. Opposite the hotel there is a Sandagiri Food City supermarket and a wine market, there are many small shops, shops and exchangers nearby. this time the rate is higher at the airport 1$=150.3 LKR. Leaving the hotel on the road on the left side, go for about 15 minutes, there will be a blue-lilac fruit market, there are fish points near it, opposite the market there is a supermarket, a pharmacy, a bus station and a railway station. station. At the railway station on Sundays there is a large market with things and products. The entrance to the pier near the market where you can buy shrimp was paid 100 rupees!
I rate the hotel 3+* or 4-*.
Of the living creatures in the room, we saw small ants, at night a gecko ran behind the closet. On the territory of the hotel we saw a lot of chipmunks, small and slightly larger monitor lizards, crows and other birds. Mosquitoes sometimes bit on the street after sunset, we took a spray on the body and there was a fumigator in the room.
NUMBER- paid standard. We settled in the corner from Lanka at No. 303 with an ocean view above the restaurant to about 20 square meters. A small one with a silly exit to the balcony up steep steps with a narrow opening 50 cm wide. A glass door and a lamp with a sharp triangle in front of the door (the husband hit his head on the lamp with a height of 190). The room has a small refrigerator, air conditioning worked well, a tea set, 1 liter. water every day in the room, plasma TV 32", 1 chair, 2 bedside tables, a small closet in it a safe and 6 trempels, a mirror, a mosquito fumigator. A large bed, 4 small pillows. In the bathroom, 2 towels per person and 1 per floor, 2 shampoos, 2 soaps and 2 bathing caps. The shower is built into the corner of the wall - it was not convenient to swim in the very corner. Balcony with clothes dryer. Bed linen is white. Only the last two floors of the room are good, there are deluxes.
FOOD - our tour paid HB half board, tea, instant coffee and Lavaza coffee, milk could be drunk in the restaurant in the morning - everything is in teapots, for dinner only water from a jug is free, Breakfast is quite normal - scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, croissants, sausages, pasta and potatoes, vegetables, bananas, watermelon and papaya every day, passion fruit, seusep and guava also alternated, 3 types of juice of quite good quality, fried waffles and pancakes.
More dinner, potatoes, pasta, rice, fish and chicken legs, pork and beef in gravy, once a week shrimp, once crabs, twice squid, three spicy dishes, but there was plenty to choose from and not spicy at all, eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers. Sweets included pudding, jelly, fruit salad and pineapples in gravy, and fruit.
There are no complaints about nutrition, except for small comments.
There is a POOL, small with different depths from 80 cm to 1.8 meters, they are cleaned every day, disinfected with a tablet, there is a smell of bleach, you can swim late in the evening. There were no irritations on the body. Towels can be taken and changed at least every hour, there are brand new striped ones, and there are very washed khaki ones. There are no umbrellas.
THE BEACH is public, near the Lanka hotel there is a small lagoon, at low tide the depth is 90 cm, and at high tide 1 meter 40 cm. A big wave does not reach the shore, because it breaks on corals 70 meters from the shore. You can go to the beach near the Hikka Tranzby Cinnamon hotel, the former Chaaya Trans, where four large turtles constantly play with people on the cape, the beach was washed away by a stream of water twice in this race - the river from the village overflows from the rains and flows into the ocean. You can walk a little further towards the market to the boats and swim there on small waves at Dolphin and Smak.
WEATHER IN APRIL - from October 1 to October 11.2017, it rained every night, mostly in the afternoon and not for very long, it didn’t bother us at all and the rain didn’t prevent us from enjoying our vacation.
SHOPPING- Of course, TEA!! ! In the supermarket, they bought Mlesna tea Mlesna 610 rupees a pack of 250 grams, it is plantation and also of good quality. Spices bought in small shops by weight and in supermarkets packages, black peppercorns 1800 rupees 1kg. Fruits - pineapple 170 rupees 1kg, several types of mango from 350 rupees to 700 rupees per 1kg. Passion fruit 2 types sour round 350 rupees 1kg, and oval sweet 700 rupees 1kg.
During our holiday, the rate was 1 $ = 150 LKR (Sri Lankan rupees).
The TOUR was taken 2 days before departure from JoinUp, the cost of the tour fell by a lot from them. Everything went according to plan, with no complaints. Air carrier Air Arabia (Air Arabia) with a transfer in Sharjah. The plane was from Kyiv to Sharjah 5 hours, there between flights a little more than 1 hour and from Sharjah to Colombo 5 hours. The meeting side of the Concord Exotic Voyages bus to the hotel and back to the airport is very convenient and we drove for about 3.5 hours, part of the road along the autobahn. It took us 23 hours to get from home to the hotel.
VISA - we issued upon arrival in Colombo $ 40 per person. On the plane from Sharjah to Colombo, they gave us migration cards, we filled them out.
This time they didn’t take excursions, they themselves went by bus to Galle, the ticket price was 40 rupees per person, on the train 20 rupees.
Athletes constantly alternately visit the hotel for a couple of days. Vacationers are Germans, British, Russians, Ukrainians and Chinese.
The time difference in summer is +2 and a half hours in Sri Lanka. We considered GOA, but the Tour Operators had a flight program only until March 18, after 18, the cost was not included in any framework....
April 14.2017 was the New Year in Sri Lanka. In this regard, from the 10th to the 17th, there were many closed shops, the markets did not work stably, and everything was swept off the shelves in supermarkets! Our friends arrived later than us and rested until April 18, they were less fortunate because of the holidays, the hotels were packed to capacity, food at the hotel sometimes did not have time to cook for everyone.
Conclusion - on the full moon, on public holidays and New Year's, you should not fly on vacation. As well as in Ramadan in the Arab countries.
If the cost of the tour is not high, then I recommend the hotel, but it does not pull on 4 *.
All the right choice and good rest!

This "hotel" hosts a bunch of tourists according to the whole Sri Lanka system for a fee. Every day a crowd of Chinese are brought in (in a couple of days they are taken out and the next ones are brought in), screaming and sweeping everything in the restaurant (only local natives are worse than them) in the rooms there is mold and BUGS if anyone does not understand that bites at night are not from mosquitoes, but from bugs in mattress.

Black dots on mattresses are traces of bed bugs, as are bite marks on tourists. Do not waste your nerves and health in this viper.
