Hello. It's been 2 weeks since my vacation in Sri Lanka. And I still have a lot of impressions from this country.
And so everything is in order. Many thanks to the company "Indianholiday Ukraine" - exotic tour operator. Organized our holiday in Sri Lanka. Picked up our flight, hotel for a reasonable price.
We flew - Air Arabia. The host country of Sri Lanka is Deluxe Holidays. They met us at the airport and immediately to the hotel. Of course, the drive to the hotel - Citrus Hikkaduwa is long, but on the new road it is about 2 hours. We arrived at the hotel at 7 am. We immediately went for breakfast while the room was being prepared for us.
Food - Breakfast is always the same. These are scrambled eggs, croutons, pancakes, vegetables, sausages, muesli, fruits. But dinners were always different. Every evening new dishes of different cuisine. There were even seafood (shrimp, fish).
If you didn’t have enough seafood for dinner, then this can be fixed. Out to the ocean. Turn left (if you stand with your back to the hotel) and walk 300-400 meters along the coast. To the cafe "Buddy" - stands right on the ocean. They cook there just lick your fingers - shrimp of different sizes, lobsters, lobsters, fish of different varieties and for such ridiculous money. A serving of shrimp (10 pcs. ) + salad or rice or french fries for only $ 7 (700 rupees), a plate of seafood (mix) costs about $ 30. (3000 rupees) - this plate can only be eaten by two people, one cannot overcome it.
Hotel Citrus Hikkaduwa is not a big hotel. All rooms are about 15-20 sq. m. and have everything you need (bed, bathroom with shower, TV, hair dryer, kettle, safe). Ocean view from the room. The hotel has enough sunbeds for everyone, so you don't have to go out early in the morning to take them. There is a swimming pool - deep enough - 2.25m. you can even jump with a "bomb"))). Rooms are cleaned every day, towels and sheets are changed. The staff always walks smiling, that you don’t ask, they will always do everything. And if you also give a tip, they will fulfill all your "desires".
But there is no beach. This is definitely a minus of the hotel. But if you go to the right (400m. to the Chaay Tranz Hikkaduwa hotel) - there is a lagoon. The ocean is calm, you can swim, dive.
And if you go to the left along the coast, then there is an ocean with waves, and if you go even further (1 km), then there is beauty in general. Large coastline and beautiful ocean with low waves.
In general - the rest was a success at 100%. I didn't want to leave at all.
