Эх, по речке, да по Маду Ганге Eh, along the river, yes along the Madu Ganga

It just so happened that tours with an emphasis on nature (ECO) and interest in the traditions and customs of local residents (ETNO) appealed to those who fly three to nine lands to the closest tropical island to us, but still exotic for the average Ukrainian Ceylon (colonial - until 1972 - the name of the current Sri Lanka).

In the tours, which tourism specialists have combined under the name "Eco-Chic with Curry Taste", the focus is on the nature and way of the Sri Lankans, which means there are many reasons for discovering unique corners and places. Among them are boat trips along the Madu Ganga delta, one of the richest rivers in the southwest of the island, which almost always "go with a bang. " And, if the group is friendly (and I, lucky, have not met others for 10 years of work as a guide in Sri Lanka), then the impressions are intensified by many times positive emotions from meeting with the inhabitants of the villages along the banks of the river overgrown with mangroves, and the islands, which are great set in a river branching into branches and channels. These are people, birds, and other living creatures - swimming, diving, and even lying lazily on branches among dense foliage on a hot afternoon.

And in the route of such a water safari there is a charismatic Buddhist monastery - the Kotduva monastery, which is located on an island in the very center of the majestic lagoon.

About this - a report made in March 2012. Then our "honest company" gathered active, wandering, restless residents of Kyiv and Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kharkov. And what's great is that they are still in touch with each other. And, it seems, they have already outlined a new route through Asia.
