Very beautiful places in Ella
Who loves beautiful views and nature, you are here. Although the trip to Ella itself takes a lot of time, it's worth it. They got here from Colombo by train, a 1st class carriage costs 23 bucks, seats according to the tickets purchased, no hustle, air conditioning is not particularly needed, because as you climb into the mountains, the tropical heat recedes. The views outside the window are simply mesmerizing. And although the trip takes about 9-10 hours, it was not boring.
In Ella, a little rain and a whole pack of tuk-tuks were waiting for us, quickly bargaining with one of them, we were already at the place of residence in 10 minutes. We were met by a local resident with a beautiful Ukrainian name Nadiyka. The room had hot water, clean and well maintained. And all this in a tropical forest and among tea plantations to the chorus of tropical birds. The feeling of delight did not leave us during the 2 days that we spent in Ella.
The next morning, Nadiya fed us a delicious breakfast (see photo), which, by the way, is included in the price of the room, and we moved to the nine-arch bridge, for which many people come here. The road along the sleepers took about 40 minutes of unhurried progress, and after passing the tunnel, we found ourselves at the goal of our trip. There were already a lot of people here despite the morning. It must be seen, the place is very beautiful.
After taking plenty of pictures, we returned to the railway station and found there the "Tourist Center" of the Ministry of Tourism of Sri Lanka. And it helped us a lot on our further journey to the ocean in Tangalle. The guys in this center quickly orientated us about the transport that can get to the shore, so I recommend contacting them. Unfortunately, because of the rains, we did not manage to climb the small peak of Adam, but we saw the waterfall in full splendor.
After staying in Ella for 2 days, we left to meet new impressions by the ocean.
