Return to Paradise (Not a metaphor)
"Return to PARADISE" (NOT a metaphor)
Such a pretentious name speaks not only about the delight that overwhelms the soul when visiting this country, but also about the facts that speak for themselves!
Sri Lanka means "SRI - sacred - Lanka - island" - this is paradise, in every sense of the word!
It was here that Adam lived, leaving a physical trace (imprint) of his foot on the highest mountain of the island, which is called "Adam's Peak". It was from here that Adam fled, expelled from Paradise, to the mainland (from the island to India), along the "Adam's Bridge", which connects Sri Lanka with India (now this bridge is washed out by the ocean - but still clearly visible from Space! )
It was on this "Adam's bridge" that Prince Gautama came to Sri Lanka, who became the Buddha, who reached Enlightenment (Nirvana) under the Bo tree, in the village of Apuradhapura! (You can see this with your own eyes even now, trying to repeat the feat of the Buddha yourself - that is, to reach Nirvana - if you're lucky - of course. It was here that the Buddha left the only confirmation of his earthly existence - the Tooth - which is still kept in the temple in Kandy and is a national relic.
I think that Sri Lanka is a Paradise for Buddhism (India and Thailand have a rest). Even those who have never heard the words "Buddhism" and "nirvana" will feel here a rare blogging of the soul, when everything that is needed is already inside I (You) - there is no need to run anywhere -
and nothing needs to be done! Complete harmony with the world!
A little prose. Flying to Sri Lanka is far (2 times for 4.5 hours) and expensive (from $ 750 the flight itself). There is somewhere to live here - from 5 * hotels from $ 150 per day (hello Nice and Gangnam)
- to small cozy guesthouses from $25 per day (mini-hotels). For you, we managed to review everything - both prestigious and important 5 *, and cozy guesthouses for 5-10 rooms.
We traveled a lot around the island, looking for the best hotels for you.
Having looked the truth in the eyes and having traveled to dozens of hotels, we realized that the rooms are the same everywhere (bed, table, bathroom, hot shower, air conditioning) - and 5 stars. hotel and in a cozy guesthouse.
It all depends on the "atmosphere of the hotel" or something, and on how tasty they feed you.
And we ate the freshest seafood - floating in the sea an hour ago - and large Jumbo shrimp, crabs - and fresh fresh juices (they don’t recognize others) - squeezed out with sweet splashes right in front of your eyes, and they also bring you a “bowl” of rice with greens ( salad). It's all fun together - $10-15 for two (! ).
We will not describe ALL excursions! Here is where to go and what to see! Read online. But, if you want to feel the power of the ocean yourself, see the indescribable riot of colors, the jungle, with their flora and fauna - and eat fruits - which are a "ruble-bucket" - be sure to fly to Sri Lanka. Or, rather, allow yourself to return (return Yourself) to Heaven on Earth.
