A relaxing stay in a quiet hotel and a friendly country. Good beach location, well-groomed and green area with the presence of representatives of the local terrestrial, air and marine fauna (chipmunks, monitor lizards, bats, crabs), quality food and polite staff. This is a private, very cozy hotel! The rooms are very spacious, much larger than the standard ones, as we used to see, with a fan, air conditioning, a shower room, tastefully furnished and... Very high quality, expensive furniture made of special woods! For a small number of tourists, a rather spacious territory: a beautiful garden, a swimming pool. The territory is closed, there are no curious locals, even the hotel workers try not to catch the eye when you relax by the pool. The rooms are cleaned every day, the menu is varied and awesomely delicious! In the evenings, "parties" are held on the spacious balcony of the second floor with local inhabitants of the ocean cooked to your order! Always treat freshly squeezed juices and fruits! You should definitely try papaya and local pineapples - fantastic taste!!!
We had a chance to relax at the Romantic Villa and personally meet the hostess Natalia and her husband. Quite pleasant, sociable and very hospitable people In April, the staff completely changed and the former manager Janaka, about whom much was written in other reviews, has nothing to do with the villa. Just before the flight, I came across a review where false booking information was provided by the manager, I want to clarify that if you are interested in staying in this cozy hotel, please contact the owner of the villa Jelinek. natalia1@gmail. com interesting excursions, she can take you wherever you want, as she has been living in Sri Lanka for many years and knows the island very well, she will talk about all the pros and cons and advise on any issue! We went on excursions along the river, climbed Mount Sigiriya, visited the garden of medicinal herbs and the Buddha temple in Kandy, were in an elephant orphanage, went to Colombo, where we visited a chic Hindu temple, were in Galle, and saw a lot more... At our request, Natalia took us to a couple of shopping centers where the goods come from Italian and French factories, which are also located in Sri Lanka - real quality at local prices!! ! I have never brought so much from any other country! - Dressed the whole family! Thanks a lot Natalie!! ! After Sri Lanka, we visited the Dominican Republic, Greece, before that we traveled a lot, but such a warm and cordial welcome, such service was rarely seen anywhere! I'm sorry, I didn't specify right away: the villa is located in Beruwala. Excursions in a comfortable minibus with air conditioning and are all conducted in Russian! The traffic on the roads there is very lively and it is important that the driver is a real professional. There are discounts on local airlines and the opportunity to fly cheaply (relatively) to the Maldives, but naturally, not at the peak of the tourist season... Not far from the villa there is a very interesting Buddhist temple, if you wish, they will take you (7 minutes by tuk-tuk)
I wish you all good luck and only the best impressions about your vacation at the villa !!!!!!!!!!!! !

ATTENTION! ! ! ! To everyone who booked a holiday at this hotel through a contact person named Natalia, I consider it my duty to inform you that she is not the owner of this hotel and at the moment, due to problems with local co-owners, she is intercepting bookers and shoving them to other hotels, MUCH worse quality.

To everyone who booked a holiday at this hotel through a contact person named Natalia, I consider it my duty to inform you that she is not the owner of this hotel and at the moment, due to problems with local co-owners, she is intercepting bookers and shoving them to other hotels, MUCH worse quality. We went through this ourselves, but thanks to the local manager of this hotel named Janaka, despite the negative of the first days due to the change in the hotel, we were still able to move to this hotel and have a wonderful rest of the holiday, receiving maximum attention and courtesy from this manager , who performed quickly and without problems, all our wishes.
If you are just going to go, contact the Janaka manager on 009.777 16.300 so as not to get into some uncomfortable bedbug.
If you have already arrived and you have been placed, not where you planned to be, then we also recommend calling Janaka, or how we can come there ourselves and talk on the spot, as far as we know, your places are there, since you booked them!
The hotel is just a fairy tale, don't let strangers ruin your vacation!

For a very long time on the Internet I chose a hotel in Sri Lanka for a quiet family vacation, for me it was important. I knew that the consequences of the tsunami on many islands left traces of devastation, dampness and corrosive fungus. Therefore, the purpose of the search was for the hotel to be small, fairly new, not far from the ocean and away from noisy restaurants.

I really wanted to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. My choice was Romantic Villa. .
We flew with Emirates Airlines: 11 hours on the way, transfer to Abu Dhabi 1 hour. Compared to our airlines, it is inexpensive and comfortable: in front of each passenger is a monitor, remote control and headphones (movies, cartoons for children, games, etc. ). We arrived in Colombo at night. The airport is big, everything is clean, the staff is smiling. We were greeted and brought to the villa.
Even with night lighting, we were able to see the extraordinary beauty of exotic flowering shrubs and landscape design of a small area of the villa.
Tired from a long flight, we entered the room, it was the same as in the picture of the site. The room has furniture made of natural wood, there was an insect fumigator in the outlet, everything is clean and everything is in working order. Almost new bed linen and towels. All cabinets were stocked with air fresheners. Very pleased with the competent installation of air conditioning away from the bed. There is a ceiling fan above the bed. Such a well-thought-out design helps to avoid colds from sudden hypothermia of the body. We were delighted! ! ! We fell asleep to the singing of lizards unknown to us. In the morning we got up and hurried to breakfast. In the sunshine, the courtyard of the villa was even more beautiful.
Breakfast included freshly squeezed juices and some local cuisine. The dish is unusual, but we really liked it. After breakfast we met our guide Janaka and another family who arrived 1 day before us.
I wanted to take a break from the trip, but we were persuaded to take a two-day excursion to Sigiriya and Kandy.
The entire coast of Sri Lanka is municipal and does not belong to hotels. In some places, the view is spoiled by the unkempt territory of the local residents of the village. The wind scatters garbage all over the coast, the locals do not pay attention to it. From the villa to the ocean a maximum of 7 minutes by tuk tuk. . The coast is clean, fine sand and always warm ocean. The waves were so strong that they knocked you off your feet. Anyway, we spent time until lunch on the ocean, almost in the water. The sun gently and imperceptibly bakes the skin very strongly, so it is better to immediately purchase protection from the sun and from burns. There is nowhere to buy in the village. Locals do not sunbathe and bathe in clothes. There are several cafes not far from the coast, which are inexpensive compared to prices in Russia. We preferred fruits for lunch, it's hot during the day and we didn't have time to be very hungry before dinner.
The fruits here are much tastier and the prices are symbolic: bananas - 60-80 rupees, red bananas - a little more, pineapples - 120 rupees. We liked the mangosteen and papaya with lime juice. In the evening we found out that the villa has free Wi-Fi. This made us happy, since we took a laptop with us. With our new friends, we walked in the evening along the street of the village of Beruwela. The locals are all smiling and saying hello. Young people came up and barely legibly offered us excursions on their Tuk-Tuk. With such guides, you can only get to the nearest store. The sunset in Sri Lanka is beautiful especially over the water. Every minute the sky is saturated with bright colors and as soon as the sun hid, it gets dark all around. This brings life to the village to a halt.
At 5 in the morning they took us on a tour to the car and gave us large packages with breakfast to take on the road.
With such an unusual and extreme manner of driving through the terrain of Sri Lanka, we realized that we would not drive on our own. The roads are narrow, lack of rules, road signs and police on the roads. Movement is left-handed. Simultaneously with the car, people are walking along the road, cows are crossing, dogs can run out and scratch in the middle of the road, motorcyclists overtake and, without any rules, little Tuk-Tuks are squeezed in. With all this, we have never seen a single scandal, everyone is calm, without emotions. In 2009, the war in Sri Lanka ended, which lasted more than 20 years. She did not leave her imprint of cruelty and callousness in the soul of the local people. The Sinhalese are a deeply religious people and, most importantly, not vindictive. We got a very good tour guide. In Sigiriya, he told us the history of Sri Lanka in a very interesting way. In the morning in Kandy, we got to the service at the Temple of the Tooth Relic, very beautiful, unforgettable.
We combined excursions and shopping tours in supermarkets. We were taken to supermarkets, where the prices were pleasantly pleasing.
I really liked the 2-day excursion to Yalla National Park. the jeep ride was cool and the sun didn't blind my eyes. Wild animals are curious and not aggressive at first glance, but we were only allowed to get off the jeep near the ocean. It is better to admire such beauty when you come closer. Large crabs run along the shore, and the oncoming wave covers them with milk foam, from under which only moving eyes are visible ...On the 2nd day, we rode with an entertainment program along the entire coast from the nat. park to Beruwala.
We visited several hotels at least 4 *, staying overnight.
All hotels were large and with a fabulous territory, but the rooms were disappointing: small, natural wood furniture, but very old, air conditioners above the bed were not adjusted, sometimes there was darned linen, there were no Russian channels on TV, the Internet was either paid or not at all. The food in the hotels is different, there is a menu to choose from, and there is also a buffet, depending on the contingent of vacationers. Hotels in which there are almost no Europeans, the chefs cook as if for themselves. The dishes, even if not spicy, still have a lot of local spices.
I didn’t make a mistake in choosing a vacation, so the days flew by unnoticed. It was a pity to part with the tourists with whom we rested, later we ourselves did not want to fly away. Staying at the villa, we decided that we would definitely come to Sri Lanka again! And only for this villa!

A small cozy hotel located on the banks of the Bentota River and 10 minutes from the warm Indian Ocean. The delight in which you come from the surrounding view is already rest in itself. We arrived at the hotel in the morning, tired, but after meeting with the hostess, the fatigue began to disappear. I did not expect so much cordiality, during the entire stay, none of the residents of this hotel was deprived of her attention. If you need something, just tell her, she will immediately find a solution (they will take you where you need, they will buy you what you need, etc. ) After the flight, I highly recommend a massage, after it I was already drawn only to the ocean, I used massage services on the villa, the massage therapist does a wonderful job.
The people who work there are the most friendly and kind. The smile on the faces makes you forget about the gray everyday life at home. Any whim and at the same time not always for your money)))
From the first day after arriving home, you understand that there is not enough breakfast, delicious and cute. In general, the hotel food is very varied and tasty. You could even order something, you could bring fish and they will cook it for you. We often ordered boiled shrimp for local beer (not bad at all). Food is not expensive, worth the money. The rooms are chic, I can even say huge with air conditioning, refrigerator and beautifully furnished. There is everything you need for a wonderful holiday.
Separately, about excursions, I recommend traveling with Janaka. Traveling around Sri Lanka from a villa is cheap and complete. Janaka is a sweet, cheerful and interesting person. (English, German and some Russian)
In general, we did not have to be bored, the sea of pleasure.
Thank you all so much for this wonderful vacation in Paradise.

This time they wanted to stay in a small hotel, because they just wanted to be alone and not be tied to a meal schedule and a mass party. There was a little concern about the hotel, because it was nowhere to be found, we found out about it by chance from a friend from Moscow, who himself was there))) We decided to take a chance, though we first wrote to the hotel, requested free rooms (there was only one) and photos numbers. We were sent with a detailed description, immediately impressed.
The biggest plus in our opinion is the contingent. Young couples lived in two rooms and only an elderly couple from St. Petersburg lived in one, but it was with them that we went everywhere, they are so mobile and active. And in general, we even envied them, they have been married for 30 years and have retained such great love.
We originally booked a room with breakfast, but after going to restaurants we realized that it was more convenient and tastier to dine in the villa. Twice we ordered an additional barbecue for 3 couples and lobsters, we definitely liked it.
The territory is small, but very green, there is no crush, the pool is clean, the worker cleans it 2 times a day. But the most divine time is the evening! Silence, only the sounds of the tropics, indescribable beauty! You just connect with nature. The only thing was a pity that the monkeys didn’t go to our balcony, because the windows are not on the river, but on the garden (((
But there are a lot of monitor lizards, iguanas, chipmunks and other living creatures, like a living corner.
The hotel is not a party hotel, it is for couples or people who prefer a quiet spiritual rest.
We have only positive memories of the stay and decent service, I recommend!!!!!!!!!!
I wish you good luck and have a wonderful holiday.

My husband and I decided to go to Sri Lanka spontaneously. We watched a lot of reviews and decided to go to Natalia (we just wrote her an email). This was our first trip, as they say "homeless". We got to the island on 2 Emirates planes (the airline is super, service, food and drinks are super ! ! for two round trips, my husband and I got 40 thousand).

We got to the island on 2 Emirates planes (the airline is super, service, food and drinks are super ! ! for two round trips, my husband and I got 40 thousand). At the airport, we were indeed, as written in other reviews, met by the hostess of the villa, Natalya. The road to the villa is long and tedious, about 3 hours. The villa itself did not impress at first sight, but then I fell in love with all my heart)) The second manager of the villa, Janaka, is just super! A huge special thanks to him! ! Life at the villa was great, they fed us in the morning and in the evening. Everything was deliciously varied. The cook and Natalya herself cooked for us. The taste of the food is incredible! ! The road to the ocean takes about 10 minutes by tuk tuk, no one goes there on foot and it will be far away. There are several beaches, we liked the Blue lagoon more. The sun is very strong, although when we arrived there were clouds, but we still burned out. We went on an excursion to Kandy, but this is for fans. The road is hard and hot. We rode elephants, saw the city, plantations, the botanical garden. We ourselves are not fans of excursions, so such impressions.
Well, in general, the advantages of our holiday on horseback cover any disadvantages! Therefore, we will definitely return there again !! ! but not for 10 days, but for the whole vacation ! !

We rested in Sri Lanka at the beginning of August 2012, only 9 days, which is extremely short for such a country. After a long flight, tired of night transfers, we had to languish for another 3 hours in traffic jams, in the end we finally got to the magnificent Romantic Villa in Beruwala. It is located in a quiet, cozy place, we were met at the airport by Janaka, a very nice, pleasant young man, he was at our disposal all the time.

It is located in a quiet, cozy place, we were met at the airport by Janaka, a very nice, pleasant young man, he was at our disposal all the time. Wherever we would not ask him to take him, and any of our requests did not stand aside.
At the very beginning of our arrival, we decided to go on a 2-day excursion, and then 7 days to enjoy the ocean and just relax mentally, we work a lot and the purpose of our trip was to see some sights and, of course, have a beach holiday. The excursion was taken on a villa, with a Russian-speaking guide, we were organized as we wanted, which we never regretted.
During the tour we visited the Pinonovalle elephant nursery, rode an elephant, visited the Buddha Tooth Temple, the Royal Botanical Garden, the Spice Garden, stone, silk, wood, tea plantations. And the guide with the driver was fed with real local food! Very sharp! but we are lovers of Asian cuisine)) Impressions for two days were received no less than for the rest of the holiday!
The remaining days were spent on the beach, in the Blue Lagune restaurant with cocktails and near the pool in the villa! August may not be the best month to visit on the southwest coast. As the guide said, it is best to come here from October. The ocean was stormy almost all the time, although it was very warm! Sometimes at night it rained and there was a strong thunderstorm. Of course, this could not spoil our impressions of the holiday!
They were very afraid of midges, which I read about in the reviews. But the midges didn't bother us there. The bites appeared a few days after we returned home!
And as we found out it was sand fleas! Therefore, it is better not to lie on the sand, and even more so not to dig into it!
The villa is big, except for us at that time there was no one there, so we felt comfortable as owners, everything for us, the pool is very clean, everything is in order and everywhere, paradise in a word ! ! ! ! It is located on the banks of the river, the rooms are much larger in reality than in the photographs and everything is true, which is important, we booked it on our own with the hostess via the Internet.
The Sri Lankans are very open and friendly, although they are already spoiled by tourists, and they are looking for their own benefit in everything.
Before Sri Lanka, they rested in Thailand in Bali, in Malaysia, Sri Lanka is very interesting, of course, in its own way. And we also promised ourselves to come back someday! ))

And we also promised ourselves to come back someday! ))

After a trip to a large hotel in November last year, we decided to go to a small hotel, and for the price it was very attractive. We found the hotel purely by chance, we came across positive reviews on the Internet and decided to write a request, we were quickly answered and we booked a room. the hotel presents itself - it is a small two-story villa with 5 rooms, everything is done beautifully with huge sculptures of landscapes on the walls, the favorable atmosphere there is very conducive to a good rest.

Since few people in Russia know the hotel, I want to say that it is very comfortable there. Modern design style. Each room has its own design. Very high ceilings. Spacious rooms. A huge balcony where we often sat in the evenings. Breakfast is always freshly squeezed juice, fruit, scrambled eggs, sandwiches. Delicious. At your choice, you can order something else, a large pool. Often ordered lunch and dined by the pool.
It is felt when there is no crowd. Very calm quiet place, next time you should go not with a friend, but with a loved one. Since it is a very romantic place to spend your holidays with your loved ones.
After a large hotel, the choice fell in favor of a small hotel and they did not regret it. no noise, no crowd. wake up and enjoy the silence. the singing of birds. It's great to rent a hotel - also if you go with a big company. the whole hotel will be at your disposal.
The hotel has a very pleasant hostess Natalya, she always responded to any of our whims, and all the employees are very polite and helpful.
Ocean
The ocean always beckons. . . it's nice to take a walk.... the sand is golden-gray. . . it doesn't sink under your feet. . . the waves lightly touching your feet caress. . . an inexpressible feeling. . . after the ocean, the thought of going to Europe has completely disappeared. . . every day we went to the beach, just after a hearty breakfast it's nice to take a walk. . . there are sunbeds and umbrellas... and then you can immediately have lunch. Although in the heat it is better to hide and sit in a restaurant. It is very nice to cut the waves on the board. Asked the beach boys and they brought boards. The ocean in September was much stronger and it was impossible to swim without a board, but now you could enjoy the ocean and swim at your own pleasure. Sometimes we went to the beach in the Taj, there are big waves in the morning, and it's great to drive on the boards.
Restaurants
We visited all the restaurants in the area and chose Lagun Garden and Serena Vila restaurants. Very nice staff, excellent food, you can eat seafood as well as European food. My friend and I took one serving for two, as they are just huge and they simply cannot eat one at a time. Very tasty freshly squeezed juices. in the evening they put on a drum show. For drinks - they drank local rum. this is something, and if you dilute it with cola... the local gin and tonic is also not inferior... )))
We went to Alyutgama for fruit, ate pineapple and mango and passion fruit, there was also a season for jack fruit, guava....delicious....
Excursions
We went on a 2 day tour. Kandy - Sigiriya. The trip started at 5 am, the tour was ordered from Natalia. On the way, we stopped very often to see and not miss the sights, we stopped at a pineapple plantation, an elephant nursery, a botanical garden, a tea factory, in general, we spent the whole day in Kandy, in the evening the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Stayed overnight in the city. The next day we left for Sigiriya.
Sigiriya met us in the heat. Be sure to take a hat, as the sun bakes very strongly. Climbing the mountain is a bit difficult, at the end of the legs did not go. From the top there is a beautiful view of the mountains and the surrounding area. running wild monkeys through the ruins of the former palace.
I'm going to warn you right now - it's very difficult. The serpentinka is so sick that it makes you feel nauseous and you want to go back to the hotel. But it is important for yourself to set a goal - what do you want to get from the island and then go. The roads are not very good, apparently the state does not invest money. The traffic is very active and the drivers drive like that... breathtaking . . there are no rules at all... but it was not scary with ours.
The rest of the time we swam and just rested, we didn’t want to leave. we even thought about changing tickets and staying 3 more days, but all flights to Moscow were full. we were offered to fly away on the 14th, but we had to go to work and then we decided that it would be better to return in a couple of three months....and we will definitely return . . I'm sure of it)) !! !

We love relaxing family holidays. We decided with the whole company with friends and children to go to Sri Lanka in Romantik Villa. Everyone was very happy, the children were delighted. Made the right decision. Excellent living conditions, comfortable, at home, the schedule was built in a way that was convenient for us, they did not depend on anyone.

Made the right decision. Excellent living conditions, comfortable, at home, the schedule was built in a way that was convenient for us, they did not depend on anyone. The owner of the hotel, Natalia, helped in all matters (excursions, money exchange, organization of parties, etc. ), for which we are very grateful to her. Everything that was obeshanno when booking, everything happened. The climate is great, the water and the sun are magical. You can only eat fish and fruits. You can go again, but not for 2 weeks, but for 3. You need to buy tea there (very tasty and worthy of the price), now we drink and enjoy), precious stones. Yes, for those who love incense, I bought very good incense in Colombo for myself and for gifts. Be careful when departing at the airport, the excess costs - 17 dollars 1 kg, for all citizens of the former CIS and on Air Arabia airlines. Norm per person 20 kg. Try to buy less in shops on tourist routes, it’s very expensive there, it’s reserved for rich tourists. (well, it's probably everywhere). We are very satisfied with the rest, the house, the hostess, the food - yes, everything. Still want to go! Good luck and have a great holiday!! ! Natalia, Almaty.

I would like to call my review "This is what paradise looks like" !!! Immediately I want to thank Natalia again and again with all my heart for a very warm welcome and our stay in a paradise called "Romantic Villa" in Sri Lanka. How nice it was when you get off the cold plane that brought us from cold Ukraine, you plunge into the warmth of the humid air of the long-awaited Lanka and you are met by the owner of the villa herself, although it is almost late at night or even very early in the morning.

Arriving at the villa, my expectations have exceeded themselves!!!
The hostess of the villa - Natalia created the comfort that was very necessary for our vacation. Janaka, Sajivi also had a hand in our wonderful stay. Lyme, to me as a crazy dog lady, also brought a particle of her warmth to our vacation.
And most importantly, Natalia loves Sri Lanka very much and shared all our emotions, admiration for this country with us.
The most important thing is to fall in love with this country as I did and get unforgettable pleasure from staying in "Romantic Villa".
And I know for sure that I will definitely return there again... again... and . . again....for this I did not say goodbye to Natalia... Sri Lanka... but only said "See you soon Natalia! !! "
