Good afternoon. So ended our holiday in Sri Lanka. Before the trip, we read a lot of reviews, something useful, something not. I'm in a hurry to leave my review about the hotel and the rest in general. Before a beach holiday in Serf, we had a 3-day excursion. Host Concord Exotic Voyage. Despite many negative reviews about this company, nothing of the kind that was written about here happened to us. Everything was wonderful. The group was only 4 people, that is, the excursion tour turned out to be almost individual, although the travel agency said that the excursions were for groups. Hotels under the program Sigiriya Village 4 * (Sigiriya) and Swiss Residence 4 * (Kandy) we liked both. The tours are all very interesting, it's worth watching. Of course, along the way they bring a batik factory, a spice garden, jewelry stores and the essence of such excursions is that you are offered to buy something there, but this didn’t really bother us, it’s interesting to listen and see for general development. We arrived in Cerf late in the evening, settled immediately, we got a room on the second floor, as we wanted, with a wide balcony. The room is good, spacious, freshly renovated, TV, safe, minibar (used by us as a beer fridge). They cleaned every day, but the towels are not always changed, it didn’t spoil our vacation, sometimes they forget to add shampoo and shower gel to the bottles, but I’m used to using my own cosmetics, so this is also not critical. The hotel is very quiet, there is no territory, only a building and a lawn with sun loungers. Our people (50% Russian-speaking citizens in the hotel) take sun loungers at 6.00 in the morning, it is not clear why, there are enough of them for everyone. The staff that delivers mattresses and towels on the beach - one guy is very fast and does an excellent job, the other will never bring anything until you follow him and ask several times, he waits 100 rupees, after that the mattress and towel will immediately appear on your sun lounger, he even smiles and says a few words - What a nice weather today or something like that. The ocean is super, very warm and powerful, draws you in. We walked all over Bentota along the ocean on foot, near our hotel there is the best beach. Near the breakwater, if there is no wind, you can not only jump on the waves, but also swim. True, two days before our departure it was very windy, the ocean became agitated, and we did not go further than waist-deep into the water. The food is good, we had HB, we ate fruit for lunch. Seafood was eaten at Wonderbar and Amal restaurants. The prices are the same, cooking is also delicious, but in Wonderbar you can look at the turtles that live on the territory. We went to the south of the island from Manju by car - Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna, Galle - $ 50. And they took a boat trip on the Bentota River for $30 for two. I really liked the tuk-tuker Thushara, he has a brother Lucky on the beach near the entrance to the Vivanta hotel. Thushara took us to the shops, to the restaurant, helped to buy fruit. If you buy alcohol, there is a recommended price on the bottles, they often cover it up and sell it to tourists for more. Rum Calypso price 1180 rupees, beer bought at 130 rupees (160 rupees in the supermarket). In general, the holiday was a success, and the hotel was chosen correctly.
