The hotel is really wonderful, although we had previously been to other 5-star hotels, but Intercontinental pleased us with its luxury and service. Any trifle in the interior of the hotel can bring aesthetic pleasure to even the most demanding guests. The staff is helpful, ready to fulfill any whim (however, Russian tourists should not forget about tips, abroad, and in Jordan in particular, this is accepted and is a sign of good taste).

By the way, we must keep in mind that few people speak Russian there, so you still need to know some set of English phrases. The hotel has its own sandy shore, hotel employees scurry around the coast from morning to evening: they offer menus from street restaurants (belonging to the hotel, of course), they clean motes on the beach, animators entertain children, etc. The food is excellent, in the evening periodically for restaurant guests -Eastern dance. For small children there is a "kindergarten" where the child will work out and entertain. There is only one drawback in Aqaba, but it does not apply to the hotel - annoying taxi drivers. As soon as tourists leave the hotel, they immediately appear and begin to offer their services, and very aggressively. And so, in general, a wonderful country, there is a lot to see (after all, the cradle of civilization), friendly people, a relaxing holiday. We went as a family (husband, me and a 7-year-old child) and did not regret it at all. What we wish you!

A very good hotel. The top management of the hotel probably values the reputation of Intercontinental, because it is a chain of hotels around the world. One hundred percent five. There is a very large swimming pool on the territory, every morning and evening it is cleaned by hotel employees. Own fenced beach, very clean, sunbeds are free, towels are also given out for free.

There is a very large swimming pool on the territory, every morning and evening it is cleaned by hotel employees. Own fenced beach, very clean, sunbeds are free, towels are also given out for free. The Red Sea, or rather the Gulf of Aqaba. When we were there (first of June), it was completely calm. Perhaps this is because it is a bay. The food corresponds to the five. We were 7 days, so the food did not have time to get bored. As usual, there are several restaurants and a bar on the territory of the hotel, respectively, if you want variety, you can have dinner in the restaurant. We did just that: we went to a restaurant with local, traditional cuisine, everything is very tasty. You can also walk in Aqaba, because the hotel is located in this resort city. For shopping, this city is not at all suitable, because there are VERY few shops and shopping centers. Probably, this is due to the fact that this is still an Arab country and, possibly, women don't have that kind of love to shopping, like, for example, Europeans or Ukrainians. Although this is just my opinion. There are no entertainment such as discos or clubs either. That is, this resort is for those who want peace and quiet. Many people go to Jordan to look at the city Petra. I won’t write a lot about Petra, because there’s too much to tell, I’ll only say one thing - if you are interested in cultural monuments, sights, outstanding historical places, then you should definitely visit Petra, because it’s not in vain that she was given the status of a wonder of the world. Spirit It's exciting that this city is more than 2000 years old, and there are such HUGE buildings. How could people build such a thing so many years ago?
In general, my opinion about the rest in Jordan, in the city of Aqaba: you need to go there if you want:
a) visit really interesting places, go on excursions (in short: be sure to go to the Dead Sea, take a tour of the Wadi Rum desert, visit Petra, go to the Jordan River). These are all really interesting places;
b) if you are interested in a calm and quiet holiday in the hotel itself. By the way, we saw very few Ukrainians and Russians. But there were Germans, Americans, people of some Scandinavian appearance and the Arabs themselves (a little). 60-70. Perhaps this is due to the fact that we were there at the beginning of summer, and in summer it is very hot there, so many people prefer to go there in the spring;
c) if you want to relax among wealthy prosperous Europeans and Arabs (Jordanians), that is, if you are tired of the dominance of Russians and Ukrainians in common resorts, and especially tired of all sorts of rednecks (I'm sorry, I mean the behavior of some of our fellow citizens, as well as the love of many Russians to get drunk, rowdy and behave like pigs. The cost of holidays in Jordan is an order of magnitude higher than in Turkey or Egypt or Croatia. Yes, and the hotels there are all world-famous, there is nothing bad at all, therefore there is nothing cheap. that you can get into some kind of promotion, then you can count on a discount. By the way, you don’t need to get a visa to Jordan, they put it at the airport upon arrival. Prices for food and everything in general are quite high. Their local currency (dinar) is more expensive than the euro.
I would love to go there again, because in a week we did not have time to visit everything we wanted. I think Jordan is very interesting and unusual.

The hotel is approximately 300 km from Amman Airport. The service is good, apart from the fact that the breakfast variety leaves much to be desired. The rooms are large and comfortable. The beach is great, clean. If you just want to take a break from the bustle of the city and work, this is a great place. If you want to hang out, it's better to choose another country.

The population is friendly. All staff speaks English, which is very convenient. Of course, you need to watch the money carefully, as they are in no hurry to give change. If you miscalculate, they'll pretend they didn't notice. But all this did not spoil the good mood and the general impression of the country. Who has not yet been, I advise you to visit, you certainly will not want to go to Egypt anymore.

The overall rating of the hotel is +4 points. The rooms in the hotel, like in any other country, were really cleaned every day, but there were also disadvantages. The dressing gowns of the fun of the former use, we threw them on the floor to replace them, they again hung them up for us, even the "tip" did not help.

The dressing gowns of the fun of the former use, we threw them on the floor to replace them, they again hung them up for us, even the "tip" did not help. Breakfast for 5 points, there is a choice. The hotel has only three restaurants with a total rating of 4. No entertainment at all boring. The sea in May is +22, and the pool is not heated +20-22 degrees. In the jacuzzi, the water is hot, so everyone warmed up there, the people would fill up like a herring in a jar, especially children from Russia. A lot of the local population, their children, on the contrary, only strive for a large pool. The sea remains, but buoys without a net are not very safe. By and large, there is nothing to buy in local stores, gold is expensive, and in a hotel in a jewelry store they are also deceived and deducted from the card in local dinars, although they talk about dollars when bargaining. One scam don't buy gold from them! Soon wakes up like a second Egypt!
Good luck to everyone who travels!

I agree with Christina - whoever was in Jordan will no longer want to go to Egypt. Unless there will be no money at all, and then there are "such discounts in Egypt"! First of all, my enthusiasm relates to the service in Jordan in general and in Interconti (in Aqaba) in particular. The hotel is clean, cozy, beautiful, comfortable.

First of all, my enthusiasm relates to the service in Jordan in general and in Interconti (in Aqaba) in particular. The hotel is clean, cozy, beautiful, comfortable. Excellent food and room service. Luxurious spa treatments. BUT!! ! There are bars and discos, but you won't hear them either in your room or on the beach. And what a New Year's ball they had in 2007-08! It is very important for me to rest in a calm, comfortable and safe environment. ALL of this is in Interkoti Aqaba. If you speak only Russian - you will be understood, don't worry! Any whim within reason will be fulfilled! The hotel staff will also tell you about the city (where to eat, shop), and help you book excursions and much more! Now, in addition to everything, imagine the cleanest beach and a swimming pool that occupies half the territory of the hotel... In general, now this is our family's favorite vacation spot. The only bad thing is that you need to book in advance - there are just no rooms.... And the fact that you have to VERY haggle in the city... Gentlemen, after all, this is the East, remember!
