We spent the night in the Italian resort town of Montecatini Terme.

Having arrived at the Piccadilly Hotel at 10:30 pm the day before, our guide had a long argument in Italian with the owner about the fact that our group was provided mostly rooms with one large bed instead of two separate ones. And the female majority of the group had to sleep in family beds.

But the hotel had Wi-Fi, the 30-digit password for which hung at the reception.

The air conditioners in the rooms worked from a single toggle switch, and due to numerous requests from tourists, they were turned off.

As an experiment, I boiled water with a kettle and brewed dried Polish potatoes in a glass for dinner.

We had breakfast at 7:30, departure for Pisa at 8:00.

By 9 o'clock in the morning we were already in Pisa.

On the way to the Field of Wonders, we passed through a souvenir and food market. There, I was accosted by a black salesman with fake watches. To make him fall behind, I called him the Patek Philippe company, he didn’t have such, he thought and really fell behind.

There were still few tourists on the Field of Wonders, so almost no one supported the tower. We had to.

We didn't go on a sightseeing tour, we calmly walked around, took pictures, turned into the streets, and chose souvenirs for a long time. Souvenir sellers are also mostly non-local. It is useless to ask them "Quanto Costa" ("How much"), they immediately switch to broken English. 76/06/1760612.jpg" style="height: 600px; width: 800px" />

At 11:20 the whole group met at the gate and, again through the souvenir market, went to the bus stop.

Here, out of nowhere, the same black man jumped out and shouted "Patek Philippe, Patek Philippe! " ran after me for about 5 minutes, although I looked at my watch and of course immediately refused.

There was also a brisk trade in the bus stop - blacks selling hats, umbrellas, bags, etc.

At 11:40 we left for Siena.

At 14:00 we arrived, and an hour and a half sightseeing tour began. First we went to the Basilica of St. Dominic, where the relics (head and finger) of St. Catherine of Siena are kept, then we walked around the city, along the ancient narrow stone streets.

We passed the monument to Sallustio Bandini.

The guide, a young, loud-mouthed Italian Daniela, who speaks good Russian, told the history of the city in sufficient detail, about the original division into districts - contradas, about animals - the symbols of each district, about annual races.

At the end of the tour at 15:40 we just reached Piazza del Campo, where the horse races take place. This year they have already passed, the Rhinos have won, which now have every right to celebrate for three months.

Before the tasting was given an hour for lunch, we decided to have a bite to eat and went to the pizzeria at the bottom of the square.

For a 1/4-piece of fresh, harsh pizza, each paid 4.3 €, a glass of Sprite cost me 2.4 €, (it’s good that I managed to use the toilets of the cafe located on the square skip a couple of times for free).

The tasting was crowded, noisy and small, and after the tasting we had another hour of free time.

Together with drumming and flag-waving "rhinos" we walked to the square near the Duomo Cathedral.

Then we walked along the streets, where there are also living statues and musicians, and came again to Piazza del Campo.

People were sitting on the square right on the rocks, children were crawling right there. We also sat down on warm stones and tried to catch free wi-fi.

I measured the distances using GPS: 8451 km to Khabarovsk, 232 km to Anzio.

At 18:00 we left for Anzio, finally we are going to the sea!

At 20:00 there was a stop for dinner, I bought myself a pack of yogurt.

At 23:15 we arrived in Anzio.
