О. Искья - чудо O. Ischia - a miracle

Hotel ZARO positions itself as 4 stars. Perhaps soon it will. But so far it's a solid 3. Not bad, but very good. Good. We stayed at this hotel from June 16-30.2012. Departure from Moscow to Naples. At Naples airport, everything was fast and without problems (which is surprising, because they expected the worst), then by ferry (quite comfortable), they got to about. Ischia. The buses traveled in the cargo compartment, shortly before arrival we again sat down in our seats and left the ferry on the bus and drove to the hotels. We drove ok. half an hour, and we were transferred to smaller buses 2 times. At first everything seemed confusing, we go, we go, we go again, after a few days we figured out that we were spinning almost in one place. The hotel at first glance is fully consistent with the photos on the hotel website. We were greeted quite kindly, dropped us off on a hill (on the way down to the hotel), a hotel worker immediately ran up and helped bring and carry the suitcases. The room was given in just 5 minutes. The room was on the 2nd floor with a sea view, as ordered. Everything you need was present in the room: beds, wardrobe, bedside tables, a table with a bedside table under the TV. TV is the most common with a couple of Russian channels. The bathroom has a shower, hair dryer, bidet, and of course a toilet. The furniture is all used, but beautiful. The shower stall is about nothing, leaking, narrow. The hair dryer is also so-so, it is terribly inconvenient to dry your hair, the handle heats up more than the air blows. The safe is free, hidden behind a painting. There was air conditioning, but we did not use it, because the weather allowed. There is a table and three chairs on the balcony. Shortly before departure, curtains were hung on the balcony, it became much more comfortable. Blinds are installed on the balcony doors. Comfortable, you can completely close, you can open them slightly and the room does not heat up. There were no glasses in the room, no spoons, forks, plates - nothing like that. There was a sign in the lobby that no food or drink was allowed in the room. At all. Pts. Strange, because the hotel is not all inclusive, but breakfast and dinner. In addition, in the minibar there is water in small bottles, it is really not enough to drink it. There was no drying for things, I had to buy a rope and pull it on the balcony. In principle, we had no complaints about bringing food and drinks to the room. The water was always hot. The room was cleaned every day. At first, we did not have soap, after a couple of days they put it. But they stopped replenishing shower caps. So until the end of the holiday and did not put a single one. I didn't want to be reminded. These are all sorts of unpleasant little things that spoiled the impressions of the rest a little. On the territory there is a garden of lemon and all sorts of different trees. A little run down, but actively restored. There is even a playground for children. The pool is fully consistent with the photo. At first the upper pool was hot, but after 3 days the water became slightly warmer than in the lower one. Guides assured that the bottom of the water is mineral, the top - thermal. It is hard to believe this, because the water temperature was not higher than 28-30 degrees. The beach is not far from the hotel, walk literally 2 minutes at a leisurely pace to the right. Go to the end, not to the first entrance, but to the last one from the hotel. There is a booth of a beach worker (a handsome black man distributes sunbeds). At the hotel you need to take a beach ticket and go to the beach with it. The Zaro Hotel has sunbeds in the third row from the sea (the farthest), but they are free. Beach and sea are great! There are showers and toilets on the beach. . Sellers of all sorts of things go around hatefully: swimwear, sunglasses, jewelry, souvenirs, pareos, coconuts. Nobody is pushing anyone. Breakfasts: the same type, but tasty, nothing has become boring for 2 weeks! Very tasty yoghurts! Especially banana! Delicious meats, buns, jams and coffee! Lunches are less luxurious than dinners, but if you decide to change, you still fill up to satiety! The portions are large, the food is varied. The waiters (as it seemed to us) are shy of Russian speakers, more often and more willingly approach the Italians. Very long service at dinner. Most of the guests in the hotel are Italians. Russians at different times were from 20 to 40%%. There were few fruits (in the hotel) a couple of times they gave watermelon, a set of fruits: peaches, cherries, apricots - everything was unripe and hard. The center of Forio can be reached in 2 stops or on foot, it takes min. 10. We really liked the restaurant to the left of "romance", called "La Bussola". Although our guide praised "Romantic", we liked it more in Bussol, and the prices are cheaper and the food is tastier. Two words about the guides: we had the guides Jamila and Elena. They met us at the airport, and Jamila gave an introduction on the way. She was also at the meeting. She was not verbose, she told the basic information, but she did it with such a look, as if all the tourists got her and she was doing a huge favor. No tours offered. If we didn’t plan excursions ourselves in advance, we probably wouldn’t go anywhere, because we had to almost stop her in order to purchase these excursions. We went to the survey on the island and Vesuvius-Pompeii. On the sightseeing guide Chiara, pt. Professional. In Pompeii guide Elena, also very good. Good. I liked everything, the smell on Vesuvius is divine! Just like the volcano itself. Pompeii also left a lot of impressions. We went to Sorgento on our own, to go down, and then go up in the heat of och. It's hard, once was more than enough. There, wild money is taken for sunbeds and umbrellas, There is nowhere to lie down and sit there really. So we stayed there and went back in the heat. I don't think it's worth going there. Yes, hot springs beat right into the sea, but there are a lot of people, och. Inconvenient entrance, large stones. Better go to the thermal parks. We were in Negombo, we Pts. Liked! Have been there twice. Entrance ticket 32 ​ ​ per adult and 28 per child per day. But there oh. cool! We went to the Aragonese castle, also cool! There are simply no other words. Shops are open somewhere until 12, somewhere until 13.00. Then the siesta hours until 5-6. There is nowhere to even buy water. So get ready ahead of time. Well, that seems to be all. If we meet again for a change, we will choose another hotel. This one is not bad, but without a thermal pool. Nearby hotels: Chezotta, Triton, Santa Maria. The island itself is beautiful, unusual, interesting!
