Located on the island of Ischia, 59 km from Naples airport (17 km to the port of Naples + 32 km by ferry from Naples to the island of Ischia), 10 km from the port of Ischia Porto, 1.5 km from the center and port of Forio. The hotel was opened in 1969, did not work for several years, reopened in 2011 after reconstruction, raising its category to 4 *. It consists of two buildings - the main 3-storey building, located on some elevation (there is a reception, a restaurant, a bar and rooms), and a one-story building closer to the sea (only rooms here).More →

The most HORRIBLE hotel on the island and in general from all the hotels in Europe, where we visited over the past 10 years of our travels. If you have even a little respect for yourself, don't even think about coming here. And it's not the hotel itself, it's pretty decent, clean, well maintained, great location, very close to the center of the town of Forio, just 15-20 minutes walk, beautiful clean beach, two cool pools, very quiet, cozy green territory, clean rooms, next to the hotel there are shops and several very decent restaurants with an excellent menu and excellent and fairly low prices, etc. … More ▾ The most HORRIBLE hotel on the island and in general from all the hotels in Europe, where we visited over the past 10 years of our travels. For 4 stars declared, with all this positive, this hotel absolutely does not pull.
The rooms, of course, are cleaned, and quite clean, the towels are changed every day, but they don’t even think about bed linen, although a daily change is declared, but everything would be fine, you can sleep on one for a week, but it would not be worth imitating this very change of bed linen . The food is disgusting, for breakfast there is nothing at all, except for curasans and sausages with cheese, which, by the way, are not even enough for everyone. No vegetables, no fruits, but this is Italy !!! ! ! During the harvest season, when the freshest tomatoes are sold at a nearby store for 0.5-1 euros per kg. I’m not talking about dinners at all, it’s lucky that we didn’t take them. We specially went to many hotels in the town, and even those whom we met there were very wildly surprised, they had just the opposite - a very, very diverse menu and assortment of products for breakfast and dinner. But this is not the most important thing in assessing the hotel, because the food is so, the little things. Maybe the owner of the hotel feeds his three children at our expense, and God bless him.
Here is the attitude towards Russian tourists - it's something. This has not been seen in any hotel in the world, and in other hotels of the town, and indeed of the entire island - upon arrival at the hotel, exclusively and only Russian tourists are given a very colorful document printed on an A4 printer with text in huge letters (I can send it to anyone who is interested) with a very competent text, and this despite the fact that the hotel staff does not speak Russian at all, and understands English with great difficulty. This, apparently, is the know-how of this hotel, invented by its owner, and maybe ours. tour operators, PacGrupp, for example, from which we traveled. And in this libel, you can call it otherwise, it is written in black and white - it is forbidden to bring water, wine, fruits to the room and eat them there, and whoever brings it will be fined!!!!! ! ! But that is not all. If you enter a hotel with a package, then you are forced to show what is there. And after all show!
We immediately sent them in understandable ang slang, so they even forgot about us right away. And the rest, like sheep, and they are sheep after that, because they showed, they did not even try to be indignant. Then, only on the beach and by the pool, all this was discussed and indignant. Everything as usual. Therefore, we, Russians, are loved by everyone everywhere. Would they try to hand such a paper to a German, an Englishman or a Frenchman ... So I do not advise this hotel. There are a lot of excellent hotels in the same town, where the attitude is completely different. By the way, there are no glasses in the rooms, so you have to drink from the spout of the tap. They said that you, Russians, would throw glasses out the windows, if necessary, buy plastic ones for yourself. As we were told here in this hotel, it all started back in 2012, when one of the tourists left rotten eggs in the room after check-out, apparently stealing them from the restaurant at breakfast in reserve. But it’s not clear - why, the rooms are not cleaned at all after check-out or what??? ?
This is how long it takes for the eggs to rot in the refrigerator. And do not believe those who write their positive reviews here. They swallowed it all, but that's their business. And we still respect ourselves. A very interesting detail, I specifically checked on 8 well-known and reliable websites of online hotel booking companies. They don't offer this hotel at all. You can search for yourself if in doubt. But this leads to certain thoughts - a 4 **** hotel, but these companies do not want to work as a sotel. If you are interested, email me for more details. It was the second one, because I really liked the first one. Exactly a year ago, in the first half of June, we rested at the Ulysses Hotel, near the Aragonese castle. Directly from the balcony view of the castle and the temperature + 32gr. ! In the morning it's very hot. The number was scanty, less than our bedroom, 15 meters. And without cold-ka! Horror. In Zara, the room is not with such a view, but also on the sea (surcharge), a pleasant morning breeze and +25. The room is also about 25, but meters, an excellent balcony, furniture with sufficient capacity for everything that was taken, and two moving lorries, which is very inconvenient for the most personal life. Our family experience is more than 20 years, so we were not embarrassed - especially not for the first time. The area of the hotel is small, but with its shortage on the island, it is quite tolerable. A two-story pool with cold and partially thermal water at a temperature of 32-36 degrees, half-empty sun loungers and a bar with a sleepy girl. The hotel appeared to be half full at the time. Half from Russia, most women are 40-60 years old, or two or three or one by one, fewer couples, like us in our 50s or very young. There were also grandmothers with grandchildren, but few. The rest are Italians, Germans, British. Generally very intelligent, attentive and respectful to each other. No rudeness in principle. Perhaps our most pleasant stay (we traveled decently). But! On the very first day, the managers posted ads in the elevator and in every room in Russian. lang. on the prohibition to bring and consume k. -l. food and drinks to the hotel and rooms bought in a non-hotel, i. e. bar. There was a scandal and everything more or less subsided after the intervention of our guide, but the negative remained. All this is nonsense compared to the wonderful sea, wonderful visits to thermal springs, good shopping on the island and in Naples, a walk in the botanical garden - it is nearby and in general the atmosphere. The first time I took about 800 photos, this year about 300. I didn’t want to repeat myself, but we were on the opposite side of the island and there were interesting moments that I wanted to remember. For us, rest is always romance and pleasant travels to nearby places, so for the first time we went along the Amalfi coast of the mainland (super, but not cheap), and this time we walked more around local restaurants and streets. By the way, the cuisine is very varied and of high quality. But there are establishments with a clear priority in the quality of food. You need to go around at least 5-6 to find out. The prices are average, a seafood lunch for two with a bottle of dry and a good salad right on the beach for 30-35 Euros. Of course, there are any dishes, but they are not prepared very quickly. We didn't have "torn off" entertainment, although we also like to hooligan, with the exception of Russia's Independence Day on June 12th. The governor of the island gave a reception for the second time in honor of this day and invited all Russian vacationers to this holiday. Very nice, funny and interesting. There was even a governor and our Dmitry Krylov. A sea of champagne and cakes, a concert-disco with fireworks, etc. until the morning. Everyone got drunk in zu-zu (they sold any drinks). Then they took the carcasses on buses to the hotels - we arrived at them and they were waiting for us from the evening. And everything is free. There were over 700 people. and had very pleasant feelings for their own. That without fights and other outrages. In general, I think that the rest was very successful and, in particular, the hotel is quite tolerable. I recommend. All costs are approximately 130-140 thousand rubles. including everything. Last year about 180t. R.

If you start from the very beginning - not a very successful check-in - we were given a very small room, overlooking the rocks and with a thundering restaurant below us, but that would be all right - we were struck by two simply pushed beds for the spouses and a bunk bed for the third family member . And this despite the fact that we had an almost adult son with us. Although at the same time one woman with a child was given a room with normal double and single beds. I would like, of course, to take into account the composition of the family during the settlement. We did not become indignant, as we tuned in to rest. Maybe the hotel has renovated four-star rooms, our room did not seem like that to us. The doors in the rooms slam very loudly - as many vacationers simply do not hold them. Further, we were denied dinner for a fee at the hotel restaurant on the day of arrival, although it was already late in the evening, only because our ticket included only breakfast, but this is not a reason to drive people out into the street in an unfamiliar place. By the way, the breakfast was rather modest and monotonous, but we had no complaints. And yet, I would not like it to be categorically forbidden to bring food and drinks into the hotel. The hotel area is really good, there are two swimming pools, the staff is quite courteous, the room was cleaned every day, to the sea - 5 minutes, the beach is clean with sun loungers and umbrellas - starts at 9 o'clock local time (that is, in our opinion at 11) - better It would have been at least an hour earlier. And yet from the rest in general there were good memories due to the mass of magnificent impressions from the island itself.

Perhaps soon it will. But so far it's a solid 3. Not bad, but very good. Good. We stayed at this hotel from June 16-30.2012. Departure from Moscow to Naples. At Naples airport, everything was fast and without problems (which is surprising, because they expected the worst), then by ferry (quite comfortable), they got to about. Ischia. The buses traveled in the cargo compartment, shortly before arrival we again sat down in our seats and left the ferry on the bus and drove to the hotels. We drove ok. half an hour, and we were transferred to smaller buses 2 times. At first everything seemed confusing, we go, we go, we go again, after a few days we figured out that we were spinning almost in one place. The hotel at first glance is fully consistent with the photos on the hotel website. We were greeted quite kindly, dropped us off on a hill (on the way down to the hotel), a hotel worker immediately ran up and helped bring and carry the suitcases. The room was given in just 5 minutes. The room was on the 2nd floor with a sea view, as ordered. Everything you need was present in the room: beds, wardrobe, bedside tables, a table with a bedside table under the TV. TV is the most common with a couple of Russian channels. The bathroom has a shower, hair dryer, bidet, and of course a toilet. The furniture is all used, but beautiful. The shower stall is about nothing, leaking, narrow. The hair dryer is also so-so, it is terribly inconvenient to dry your hair, the handle heats up more than the air blows. The safe is free, hidden behind a painting. There was air conditioning, but we did not use it, because the weather allowed. There is a table and three chairs on the balcony. Shortly before departure, curtains were hung on the balcony, it became much more comfortable. Blinds are installed on the balcony doors. Comfortable, you can completely close, you can open them slightly and the room does not heat up. There were no glasses in the room, no spoons, forks, plates - nothing like that. There was a sign in the lobby that no food or drink was allowed in the room. At all. Pts. Strange, because the hotel is not all inclusive, but breakfast and dinner. In addition, in the minibar there is water in small bottles, it is really not enough to drink it. There was no drying for things, I had to buy a rope and pull it on the balcony. In principle, we had no complaints about bringing food and drinks to the room. The water was always hot. The room was cleaned every day. At first, we did not have soap, after a couple of days they put it. But they stopped replenishing shower caps. So until the end of the holiday and did not put a single one. I didn't want to be reminded. These are all sorts of unpleasant little things that spoiled the impressions of the rest a little. On the territory there is a garden of lemon and all sorts of different trees. A little run down, but actively restored. There is even a playground for children. The pool is fully consistent with the photo. At first the upper pool was hot, but after 3 days the water became slightly warmer than in the lower one. Guides assured that the bottom of the water is mineral, the top - thermal. It is hard to believe this, because the water temperature was not higher than 28-30 degrees. The beach is not far from the hotel, walk literally 2 minutes at a leisurely pace to the right. Go to the end, not to the first entrance, but to the last one from the hotel. There is a booth of a beach worker (a handsome black man distributes sunbeds). At the hotel you need to take a beach ticket and go to the beach with it. The Zaro Hotel has sunbeds in the third row from the sea (the farthest), but they are free. Beach and sea are great! There are showers and toilets on the beach. . Sellers of all sorts of things go around hatefully: swimwear, sunglasses, jewelry, souvenirs, pareos, coconuts. Nobody is pushing anyone. Breakfasts: the same type, but tasty, nothing has become boring for 2 weeks! Very tasty yoghurts! Especially banana! Delicious meats, buns, jams and coffee! Lunches are less luxurious than dinners, but if you decide to change, you still fill up to satiety! The portions are large, the food is varied. The waiters (as it seemed to us) are shy of Russian speakers, more often and more willingly approach the Italians. Very long service at dinner. Most of the guests in the hotel are Italians. Russians at different times were from 20 to 40%%. There were few fruits (in the hotel) a couple of times they gave watermelon, a set of fruits: peaches, cherries, apricots - everything was unripe and hard. The center of Forio can be reached in 2 stops or on foot, it takes min. 10. We really liked the restaurant to the left of "romance", called "La Bussola". Although our guide praised "Romantic", we liked it more in Bussol, and the prices are cheaper and the food is tastier. Two words about the guides: we had the guides Jamila and Elena. They met us at the airport, and Jamila gave an introduction on the way. She was also at the meeting. She was not verbose, she told the basic information, but she did it with such a look, as if all the tourists got her and she was doing a huge favor. No tours offered. If we didn’t plan excursions ourselves in advance, we probably wouldn’t go anywhere, because we had to almost stop her in order to purchase these excursions. We went to the survey on the island and Vesuvius-Pompeii. On the sightseeing guide Chiara, pt. Professional. In Pompeii guide Elena, also very good. Good. I liked everything, the smell on Vesuvius is divine! Just like the volcano itself. Pompeii also left a lot of impressions. We went to Sorgento on our own, to go down, and then go up in the heat of och. It's hard, once was more than enough. There, wild money is taken for sunbeds and umbrellas, There is nowhere to lie down and sit there really. So we stayed there and went back in the heat. I don't think it's worth going there. Yes, hot springs beat right into the sea, but there are a lot of people, och. Inconvenient entrance, large stones. Better go to the thermal parks. We were in Negombo, we Pts. Liked! Have been there twice. Entrance ticket 32 per adult and 28 per child per day. But there oh. cool! We went to the Aragonese castle, also cool! There are simply no other words. Shops are open somewhere until 12, somewhere until 13.00. Then the siesta hours until 5-6. There is nowhere to even buy water. So get ready ahead of time. Well, that seems to be all. If we meet again for a change, we will choose another hotel. This one is not bad, but without a thermal pool. Nearby hotels: Chezotta, Triton, Santa Maria. The island itself is beautiful, unusual, interesting!
