Genoa holidays in Liguria
My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Italy. This time we planned to come to
the eastern Ligurian coast and finally looked at Genoa, undeservedly offended by many travel agencies, and artificially promoted San Remo. They decided to refuse bus excursions, rented a car, booked an individual guide from the site
and made the right choice. The most important thing is that the guide is not only professional, but also loves his city. And there is something to see there. The streets are tangled, neither by bus nor by car, there is no way to get through. Next to the chic quarters, the alleys of the "red light districts" adjoin, and local craftsmen of Arab origin trade. If an unprepared lone tourist finds himself in an industrial zone, the impression will be, to put it mildly, unsightly, therefore, those who come to see Genoa should not take good hotels like Novotel or Sheraton, which are located in the western port zone. Unfortunately, our travel agencies know Portofino well and not a word about Genoa. The chic Corso Italia promenade, a favorite place for walks of the Genoese, the magnificent parks of Nervi, not to mention the countless churches and cozy taverns in the medieval style. Genoa stands at the crossroads from Monaco, Milan, Turin or Florence. I advise everyone to stop in this city
