The two-story building was built in a classical style, the interior decor is also quite conservative. The hotel is designed for family and youth recreation. Located in the northern part of Goa, near Calangute beach.More →

The staff is terrible, I have not seen worse anywhere: rude, no English, in the evening they sleep right on the reception desk (which is also miserable). Friends from a neighboring hotel wanted to come to visit us, they were not allowed in, and even scolded us, after which they hypocritically continued to smile. You can get a normal attitude from them for a short time only for money. If you leave the room and give the keys to the reception, and then remember that you forgot something in the room and return, you will be scolded for going back and forth often.
There is no closer at the door of the main entrance, they accidentally slammed it, the guard ran out and yelled at us that we were behaving like nonhumans.
Wi-Fi was turned off every time they saw that we were using it. The restaurant is small, also on the road, breakfast is strictly until 10.00 and not a second later.
The rooms are not bad, but the view from the balcony is on the roofs of other hotels or the road with garbage. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the beach. The hotel does not have its own beach, so only the one where garbage is lying around, dogs are running, drunk Indians are walking and cows are lying.

In its category, it is chic, I did not regret a bit that they chose it: good, clean, well-groomed, not a hint of dampness and mustiness, the absence of any kind of living creatures. We had room 02 on the 1st floor, the balcony of which overlooked the roadway, which was absolutely not annoying, because. movement is not strong. The room has everything you need: fan, air conditioner, refrigerator, TV (not a single Russian channel), furniture. I really liked the bath - spacious, plumbing is not killed. They cleaned every day: they washed the floor, the bathroom, took out the trash, changed the linen on the beds (of course, without changing it). There was no place to dry things on the balcony, so we bought a rope for 12 rupees in the nearest “home store” (for convenience, multiply the price in rupees by 0.7 and get rubles), pulled it on and happily used it. The staff does not speak Russian, so get ready to resolve emerging issues in English or sign language.
Breakfast at the hotel is very sad, but suitable for picky people: a small glass of juice, coffee or tea to choose from, milk, 2 toasts, a piece of butter, jam.
Now about the fly in the ointment: I really did not like the incident that occurred on the last evening of our stay at the hotel. I won’t describe in detail, but it turned out that Mr. Carey is an unrealistic miser and he absolutely doesn’t give a damn about your problems regarding leaving his hotel, although before that, every time he saw us, he said with a smile that “Russia and India are best friends " etc.
About Calangute Beach: a huge number of Indians who come on weekends for some reason to Calangute Beach are annoying. They splash in the water up to their knees, because. few can swim, half of them are drunk, the remaining half are trying to capture "half-naked" European women on their cameras and phone cameras. Also, for the first time, they get saleswomen, goodbyes, etc. , of which there are an incredible number. They are mainly concentrated on the Baga-Calangute-Candolim segment, on the more northern beaches from Anjuna to Arambol I have not seen so many of these wonderful people. In general, the beach is very good: wide, completely sandy. A huge number of sheks are offered to sit on their sunbeds during the day, and in the evening they will put tables and wicker chairs right on the sand, along the water's edge so that you can enjoy dinner at sunset 
About transport. For lovers of exotic and national flavor, I highly recommend taking a ride on public transport - this is something!! ! These agile "whistlers" - conductors, yelling musical hits to the entire salon, the local population, looking at you as if a monkey speaking a foreign language has entered the salon, paid the fare and is going about its business. All in all, this is an insanely fun, educational and cheap way to get around Goa. And stopping the bus is very easy: just stand on the side of the road anywhere (we used to sit near the Manchester United cafe on Baga Road), raise your hand and specify the destination! I also recommend tuk-tuks (or motor rickshaws), for short distances - this is what you need, especially if you are traveling alone or together! A tuk-tuk is 30% cheaper than a regular taxi. If you have a large company, then it is very profitable to take a taxi (for example, the six of us went to Arambol Beach by taxi for 1000 rupees round-trip, i. e. about 120 rubles per person).
About shopping. The main and main rule: BARGAIN!! ! At first I thought that I couldn’t, but after a couple of days I began to get involved, learn and even got a taste, because I didn’t want to be a complete sucker and make unreasonably expensive purchases (because the price can be raised 10 times). But to be honest, I did not follow the advice “do not take anything from home - buy everything there”, which I am very, very glad about. Things seemed like complete junk to me (for their price, in principle, they pull... the average price of a sundress in the night market was 700-600 rupees, you can bargain up to 350-250, it depends on your talent), so draw your own conclusions. I bought henna, Himalaya products there - I advise it. I regret that I never found good tea and spices - I didn’t have enough time, I had to buy a package of tea for 25 bags in Dutik for $ 12. And of course, I brought Old monk rum (I liked it) and port wine (I don’t like it very much). Be sure to buy fruits: pineapples from 35-45 rupees / piece (round and pot-bellied girls are sweeter, elongated long boys burn fat better), papaya 25-35 rupees / piece, tangerines, passion fruit, guava, bananas !! ! They are amazingly tasty and flavorful! I met the best price-range-quality ratio on the way to Arambol beach, on the right, if you are already approaching the exit to the beach along the main road.
About sheks. I liked the food at Mirabais (the price tag for two with alcohol is an average of 500-600 rupees), which is 50 meters from the hotel - everything is fresh, tasty, BUT the owner is overly sociable (if this does not scare you, then I advise you !!! ) and no ocean or sunset view. After reading the reviews, on the very first evening we flew to have dinner at XAVIERS - we didn’t like it. A couple of times we went to dinner at a restaurant at the CHALSTON BEACH RESORT 3 * hotel - good cuisine, overlooking the ocean, the level is slightly higher than the nearby shek, which is reflected in the price.
It seems to be all... I will answer questions with pleasure, I will add... AND HAVE A GOOD REST!! !
