This viper was chosen by the tour operator, where I bought a ticket to Israel. I arrived at night from the airport, with the driver they woke up the watchman (grandfather), who did not speak Russian. We spoke in English. Grandpa gave me the key to room 201 and I went to check in. The room was on the 2nd floor. I was immediately impressed by the corridor, reminiscent of a Soviet student hostel. Upon entering the room, a wave of cold washed over me, as if I had entered the refrigerator of a meat-packing plant or a supermarket. Because on the calendar was the second half of December, and in Israel at that time the night temperature reached +6+8 degrees, it felt like the windows were wide open. However, when I turned on the light, I saw that the window was covered with thick blackout curtains. Pushing back the curtain, I got a slight shock from the view of the window itself. The window was a wooden frame, into which narrow horizontal plates of thick glass were inserted, overlapping, according to the principle of blinds. On the side of the frame there was a metal lever, by turning which the glass plates rotated around their horizontal axis, thereby opening or closing the gaps between the plates. But even in the closed position, these glass blinds did not hermetically close the window, and air freely penetrated from the street into the room. Fortunately, having examined the room, I found a fan heater and turned it on at full power to warm the air in the room. In the closet, I took out 2 thin blankets and covered myself with them.
In the morning I examined the bathroom and found another surprise: the old plastic toilet tank was missing a button to drain the water. The body of the tank was designed so that the drain button should be in the form of a key, which, when pressed, presses on a lever inside the tank. But since there was no button to drain the water, you had to put your finger inside this old dirty tank and press the lever. Naturally, I immediately informed my tour operator about this via viber so that they could sort it out. And he went to get acquainted with Israel in a single city of Netanya.
In the evening I saw the button on the toilet bowl and smiled. However, I ran into another feature of this number. On the sides of the bed there are two bedside tables, on which there are 2 ancient and semi-rusty and dusty table lamps, of which only one worked. There was also a telephone set, apparently for communication with the reception, but it did not work at all. I thought that he was just turned off and examined along the cord. The cord went somewhere behind the bed. Moving the bed, I found the cut end of the cord and the complete absence of a place where this cord could be connected. There was no telephone socket, no continuation of the telephone cable in the room.
This is in addition to the fact that the flooring in the room was a terrible sight - in dirty spots, and under the bed, it seems, had not been cleaned at all for several years...
In short, the evening of the first day was also devoted to a message to my tour operator.
Regarding breakfast - I support and confirm what was written in previous reviews. WiFi is only available on the 1st floor, near the reception. There is no way to take him to the room, even for money. Regarding the only Russian-speaking employee of Hannah at the reception, I can say that after my raids on the tour operator, and then his raids on the Israeli host company and, accordingly, the latter's raids on the hotel staff, on the third day Hanna told me that room 308 was free and would you like to I move there? I took the key and went to look at room 308. It turned out to be a little cleaner than mine, besides there was a tiny refrigerator, even a working one. And in the 201st room there was none at all. And he was not a catch, which means a little warmer. Although every night I still slept with the fan heater on.
In short, if there is a choice of hotel, then this hotel can be considered as the last resort, if there are no other options.

Palace Hotel is suitable for the most unpretentious tourists for an economical stay. It is located across the road from the sea. In 5 minutes walk there is a beautiful municipal lift descending to the sea. A 10-minute walk is the central square with its numerous shops, exchange offices and tourist offices.
The location of the hotel is perhaps its second main advantage after the cost of living. Of the main disadvantages of the hotel is its dilapidation of the building outside and neglect inside. From the outside, the pink building of the hotel is already sprinkled, even scary... Inside is better, but extremely ascetic... The rooms have modest, not new furniture and old plumbing. The carpet in the corridors is dirty and stained. In the evening, after a walk, you can sit in a fairly large lobby. Someone is watching TV, someone is talking at the table...
Near the hotel there is a restaurant "Visiting Aidish Mom". The prices there are as follows: salads and cold appetizers (jelly - 45 nis, vegetable salad or Olivier - 80 nis), hot dishes (boiled potatoes - 45 nis, meat pies - 65 nis, chicken Kiev, pork steak - 80 nis, homemade roast - 70 nis, dumplings - 55 nis, drinks (cola - 25 nis, coffee, tea - 15 nis), alcohol (vodka "Finlandia", "Absolute" - 100 g 45 nis, Italian/French wine - a glass of 50 nis, a bottle of 150 nis, Spanish/Romanian wine - a glass of 45 nis, a bottle of 140 nis, Soviet champagne - a bottle of 100 nis. ) Not cheap. . . But the closer to the central square, the more and cheaper it is found on the way of various cafes, bistros and pizzerias.
If you absolutely do not care about the condition of the room and the building, since you came to the Holy Land to visit the sights, if you need to save as much as possible, if there are no rooms available in any other economical hotel in Netanya on the dates you have chosen, then it might be worth considering about accommodation at the Palace Hotel.

I lived there for several years, then finally it was an ass, but it seems that it remained the same. Netanya itself is pleasant to stay, but I won’t advise you to take another hotel so that they don’t take it for advertising.

I traveled a lot, saw a lot of things, but I met such a "Miracle" for the first time. It's not a pity for the money paid for the hotel, but for the impressions you expect from your vacation. I'm sorry I didn't look at the reviews earlier. I do not advise you to stay there for any money. If you want a sea view, take a room in the "Residence", it is located opposite and costs a little more.

Only today (December 18) we arrived from Israel, lived in Bethlehem for 4 days in a modest hotel, but it was so clean there and we were warmly welcomed, they even prepared dinner for us, although we didn’t count on it (buffet), then we moved to Netanya . We heard a lot about the Palace Hotel, but we couldn't replace it.

We heard a lot about the Palace Hotel, but we couldn't replace it. Since we are not picky people, we decided that we would endure a couple of days. The appearance of the building is not the worst. But if anyone goes to this hotel for a long time, I sympathize with that. When the neighbors complained about cockroaches, I didn’t believe it, I had never seen them in any hotel, but here you are, you can meet them both in the room and in the elevator. At the lobby (reception) there is a cooler, but only with cold water, and you have to ask Hannah for hot water. Shame!

Guys! The hotel is disgusting!!! ! In our country it is positioned as 3 ***, however, all Israelis know that it is 2 ** !!! ! The windows do not close tightly, a strong wind blows through the cracks. The first evening she is all so kind, amiable, and every day her courtesy disappears somewhere.

Disgusting hotel. Dirty, smelly, tiles from the ceiling in the hall are about to fall on your head, cockroaches were running around in the bathroom (I was afraid that they would crawl into my bag and I would bring them home) Their restaurant can’t be worse, the tablecloths are dirty, full of holes, it was very easy to eat there disgusting.

Instead of a bed, a cot filled with a miserable soldier's blanket, the sight of a carpet (sackcloth) on the floor evokes a feeling of disgust and deaf melancholy! The view of the sea does not change the situation in any way. It is clear that the only desire in the morning is to leave for an excursion as soon as possible in order to take a breath of fresh air. The thought of returning to "lodging for the night" is unbearable. I am silent about the kitchen, kosher is kosher. From the stench in the hotel it didn't matter if it was eggs or herring! Kind Hana at the reception, even if she really wanted to, could not help her former compatriots, who were so cruelly scammed by their travel agencies! You say, what did you expect from three stars in the East? I will answer: next to the hotel "Residence" of the same category, to which tourists have no complaints. Therefore, friends, value yourself, your time and nerves, not to mention money! Of course, such a unique country as Israel will brighten up and smooth out any misunderstandings and leave only good memories of its shrines, but, as its indigenous people say, the sediment has remained !!! .
