We rested in Eilat from 12/26/09 to 01/08/10.
The Marina Club Hotel was chosen on the recommendation of a tour operator from Israel. The flight was operated by El Al. I liked it.
Check-in at the hotel began with a clarification of the relationship with the manager from the reception. He wanted to put us in a room that overlooked a dusty parking lot, and even almost opposite the entrance to the hotel.
After half an hour of explanations in English and threats to give anti-advertising, we got another room - better, but still close to the reception, since the hotel is made in the form of P.
We only had breakfast, which was rather monotonous. Baking was often yesterday. The attitude of the staff towards the Russians is very average and cool. Cleaning more or less. Towels were changed every day.
We were lucky with the weather, we swam in the sea. In Eilat, all the beaches are state-owned and, accordingly, you need to pay about $ 7 for a sunbed. The cleanliness of the beaches is relative.

Excursions are also very expensive, although interesting. In any travel agency in the city you can buy any excursion.
Food in cafes and restaurants is tolerable, although also expensive. It probably makes sense to take half board at the hotel, and not rush around the city in search of a suitable institution. Local spirits leave much to be desired, vegetables and fruits are delicious.
The local population has a very average attitude towards Russians. There are a lot of emigrants, mainly from Ukraine and Belarus and Kazakhstan.
I advise you to buy Dead Sea cosmetics - excellent.
In general, rest for 4, although in a cold winter it is much better than sitting in snowy Moscow.
To get the best, you have to run into the staff, well, almost like we do in Russia!
