I was on a sightseeing tour of Hungary + because the Schengen visa opens - 1 day in Vienna.

tour operator - Alliance.

time - 25.09. 2008 - 04.10. 2008

the head of the group is Tomasz, normal, balanced like that.

My impressions are as follows: hotels were 3 * in all cities, in Budapest there was the Blue Danube (Kek Duna in my opinion in Hungarian) it was the most normal, but we were lucky with the room (there were attics : )) In Heviz and Debrecen I don’t even remember the names, but in general darkness - but probably it should be so because we did not live there, but stayed for 1-2 nights. Food is also monotonous and synthetic in hotels (we only had breakfast).

What only pleased us - so in Heviz - right at the hotel there was a swimming pool, a sauna and a gym - so we had a fitness evening (there is nothing to watch in the city).

Budapest as a city did not cause much enthusiasm, only the Parliament building is beautiful. Also, in general, Hungarians are not hospitable, not welcoming people.

Always felt the attitude they say, "well, if you come, then do not bother us. " About other cities - in general, you can keep silent, probably Hungary is still not a country of beautiful sights. + Hungarian is darkness! words are long, unlike anything, not associated with anything + no one knows English ....and even when I tried to tell them some words in Hungarian (I learned it anyway) they did not understand me (except for "thank you" - "kyosenyom") ....probably the pronunciation also affects understanding and very much.

The thermal baths were an absolute delight. I don't even know where to go to resorts. In Miskolc, underground baths are very beautiful in design, like they are in a cave, while there is a jacuzzi and massage with a waterfall of water and a pool a la starry sky - very beautiful, but there are no saunas or you can eat but for an additional fee. I spent 4 hours in Budapest in Szechenyi and it was not enough.

According to the design there, the Sovdepiya tiles are the same, but everything is clean and well-groomed and everything is in abundance - and everything is full on the street and indoors, and the baths of different temperatures and whirlpools and saunas are various - super! Debrecen has the least, but only there the water is absolutely not chlorinated, it smells specific, but it cannot be said that it is unpleasant - as I understand it, this is the most healing thing that is indoors, that is, you can go at any time of the year. In Heviz, too, because the lake is on the street, the water is not chlorinated, you can get silt with legs and see frogs : )

There were also many wine tastings during the tour, about which I will say that Crimean wines are no worse, and sometimes even better, and Georgian ones even more so. They praised their vodka (palyanka), but it costs a lot of money - I decided to get by somehow, but I bought the Unicum balm - a cool little thing, I add it to tea, it turns out very tasty : )

Special attention deserves Hungarian cuisine - very tasty.

I have never used paprika in cooking before, now I look at this matter differently. I have already cooked their goulash using only paprika for color and not a drop of tomatoes - everyone liked it very much. Well, what we ate in the cafe was always amazing. + be careful they always sell very large portions.

And what was even more surprising is that people practically do not drink tea there. There is coffee in any cafe, but you can look for tea for a long time, and then find Ice tea : ) in supermarkets, the choice of tea is also very limited, mostly Pickwick.

It also seemed to me that everything in Hungary is very expensive - food, clothes, travel for foreigners - in general ruin (and for Hungarians they have a travel card, at a much lower price : )....well, I already wrote about the hospitality of Hungarians above.

In general, I liked Hungary, next time I will go to Hungary to the thermal baths (as soon as I decide on the city ; ) .....

but in general, as a result of a 1-day trip to Vienna - I want to go there again - a very beautiful, chic, pompous, rich capital, but this will be another story ....: )
