holiday travel
The trip began quite normally: the Belorussky railway station, meeting-seeing off, parting speeches, the train... We arrived in Brest. On the platform, we were met by a guide from the Old City, gathered into a group, and then we followed her to the bus. And here we are in Miskolc. This place is famous for its thermal waters flowing right into the caves among the rocks. I was looking forward to visiting the famous baths, known since the Middle Ages. It was so great there! It's great to swim through the tunnels in the cave! Outside around is also quite beautiful and you can have a bite to eat in a cafe. In Tokai we tasted wine and then went to Budapest. The Parliament, the Royal Palace and the Buda Castle were striking in their beauty. First, we are taken to the mountainous part - I will. We examine the Fisherman's Bastion. From above you can admire the view of the Danube and the Parliament. And you can wander around the bastion. In the evening it is worth taking a boat ride on the Danube. And according to tradition, scream when you swim under the next bridge. Turul birds, that is, falcons, were remembered. Hungary has a large number of statues of this mythical bird. Turul statues adorn the tops of the four masts of the Liberty Bridge in Budapest. The statue at the entrance to the Buda Castle is the largest bird monument in the world (wingspan reaches 15 meters). Heroes' Square did not inspire. I saw the monument to Anonymous, interesting. And then there were the Szé chenyi baths. Inside there are many pools with different water temperatures. There are many tourists, but still worth a visit. Relax your mind and body. Spin in a whirlpool, sit in a jacuzzi. In Balaton, echo, red pepper and lace awaited us. From the Tihany peninsula there is an amazing view of Balaton and its red-roofed houses. In the distance one could see the abbey on the Tihany peninsula. Keszthely is the first city built on the banks of the Lake Balaton. And the palace of Count Festetics is considered the third largest and most beautiful in Hungary. So Varazdin. . . It is called the city of music, flowers and baroque. Among Croats, it is considered a city of intellectuals and bohemia. And this is the sixth day of a rather rich program. There are quite a lot of different churches and baroque houses in Varaž din. But there is still one amazing place - Stary Grad. There is now the Municipal Museum. Architecture turns white among the open spaces like a cloud with red roofs. Next, Zagreb was waiting for us, where we rowed. The historical center of Zagreb is an upper town with two districts - Kaptola and Hradec. The center of Kaptol is the Cathedral of St. Stephen with the twin towers. Modern and Old Zagreb are mixed and the old part of the city is very small. We celebrated a week of our trip in paradise, on the Plitvice Lakes. (to be continued)
