Holidays in Rogoznica with small children
My family and I have been resting in Rogoznica (Uvala Lozica district) for 10 days and we will be here for another 2 weeks. We have three children with us - a six-month-old toddler and two preschool children.
1. Beach: within walking distance from the apartments there are two beaches - larger (large pebbles, walk 6 minutes) and smaller (concrete / sometimes fine gravel, walk 3 minutes). Both beaches are equipped - there is a shower, dry closets (very clean), changing cabins, a bar. There are no umbrellas and sunbeds, so you have to lie on what you brought with you... We mainly live on a small beach - there are trees and, accordingly, a shade. The water is very clean, clear, azure! Minus - a dirty beach (cigarette butts, pieces of paper) and sea urchins right off the coast (rubber slippers are sold at the local market, you can't do without them). The contingent, judging by the language: Poles, Croats, Swiss / Austrians and some Russians. There are a lot of Poles and they come in their cars in large groups of 8-10 people with tents, pots, air beds, etc. , no, they don’t live on the beach, but they spend time there from dawn to dusk - quite a noisy neighborhood) )). There are no problems with places on the beach yet, but the locals say that this is not the season yet and the main influx of tourists is expected in 7-10 days. The water is warm and the kids love to swim.
2. Food for a child under one year old: Hipp and
Frutek from jars and Nestle porridge. Local assortment. (For my little one, I brought almost everything from Moscow, he eats Gerber).
3. Food for preschool children: no problem - pizza in cafes / restaurants, well, you can buy almost everything in stores (no semolina, buckwheat and oatmeal).
4. Medicines: they brought everything with them. You can't buy anything at a local pharmacy without a prescription.
5. Entertainment for children: trampoline only. There are no carousels or playgrounds. No nightlife and no shopping
6. Cafes and restaurants full of delicious food, especially seafood. There are no Russian menus.
7. Only grocery stores and a market where you can buy vegetables, fruits, seafood. Everything is fresh and tasty. Prices are slightly higher than in Moscow. Currency - kuna. Full of exchangers.
8. Housing: no complaints, there is internet, cable TV with two Russian channels, air conditioners, a washing machine, a large refrigerator, a stove, two bathrooms, a grill, a terrace and a balcony with a partial sea view (the third house from the embankment). The hosts organized a transfer from the airport (we are all 3 adults, 3 children, a large pram and a lot of suitcases) and provided a minimum of products.
9. Language: if they speak slowly, then you can understand and they will understand you. If you know English - no problem at all!
10. What to see: there is an old town, an embankment with a parking of yachts, a karst lake Zmajevo oko. 20 km Sibenik, 40 km Split. But you won’t go there with children - it’s hot.
Bottom line: a quiet, peaceful, non-party place is suitable for families with children.
