new journey
Finally, I visited Croatia, Istria. I rested in Poreč , or rather nearby, at the Hotel Molindrio Plava Laguna 4 *, a decent hotel, the rooms are small, but I'm not picky, breakfasts and dinners are excellent, a large selection of dishes. The hotel stands aside, this has its plus, in a pine park. The beach and the sea are nearby, but you can walk 10 minutes to another hotel and a large beach will be added to your vacation, if you want to relax on the grass under large pine trees, if you want to be closer to the sea. The water is of exceptional purity and turquoise color, the bottom is rocky.
At the end of June, it is not so hot yet and very comfortable. I visited Plitvice Lakes, a national park, a bewitching sight of waterfalls, lakes and ponds, a green pine forest all around, moving around the park on a sort of "bus-train" and walking along the boardwalk paths. Beauty all around, left a lot of impressions. On the way, we visited the island of Naked (or Goli otok in Croatian), completely devoid of vegetation due to strong northern winds, an island-prison, there used to be a concentration camp here (read the story). But it looks like permafrost and something mystical in it, when there is a blue sea and blue sky around.
Very beautiful coastal towns of Poreč and Rovinj with their unique coloring. Between the towns boats ply on the water, like buses, on schedule, in the evenings taxi boats (and this happens, the prices are really like those of a taxi), almost a children's train on the ground. In the evenings, there are many cafes with live music and dancing on the street, where older tourists relax to the sound of music and songs of yesteryear.
In general, continuous relaxation and rest. You can describe your vacation here in Istria for a long time. I liked Croatia. There are places where you want to return, this is exactly such a place on our planet. Thank you for your attention if you read my story.
