We rested at the Zora Hotel with my 12-year-old son from 04.08. 11 to 14.08. 11. The location is excellent! The first line, 20 meters from the sea. Pines on the shore, squirrels run in the morning. Two beaches. One small pebble, where the bay, there are many families with children and in general a lot of people. And the other, so to speak, large-pebble. On the beach shower with fresh cold water. All beaches are municipal, locals come with children. Many come in their cars, parking is paid 1 euro. Sun loungers are paid 20 kn / day (approximately 3 euros). 7kn is about 1 euro. In shops you can buy mats 50kun-7evro, bathing slippers 40kun. It is better to go into the water and swim in them, because. there are hedgehogs to the sharp stones in the sea. The underwater world is poor. We saw striped fish, hedgehogs, two starfish and once the son near the shore after a small storm saw a light purple octopus the size of his head. Hotel room - comfort (3 stars). The room has two beds, TV (there is the first channel), two bedside tables, an armchair, a hair dryer in the bathroom, a plastic table and two chairs on the balcony. We lived on the first floor, sea view, the balcony is located almost on the ground, early in the morning we ran through it to swim and watched squirrels. The furniture is a little old, the ceiling needs repair, the front door and the door to the bathroom and the wardrobe in the hallway are old. For ten days of rest, linen was not changed even once. There is no air conditioning (no matter how the tour operator crucified (grand tour voyage), instead of it there is a ceiling fan. Two meals a day, a buffet. For breakfast, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, vegetables, sausages, pancakes, sausages, muesli, yogurts, juices, hot chocolate, tea For dinner meat, chicken, fish, salads with mayonnaise, raw and steamed vegetables, cheeses. some kind of animation, but to be honest, I was not interested. In the evenings we went to the city (on the second peninsula) for a walk, there is live music, once there was a performance of an ensemble in national costumes (very colorful). In the old city, almost all houses are rented as apartments. You can dine in the city, but many establishments are closed for a fiesta (very hot at lunchtime. Prices from 10 kn (1.5 euros) - french fries, breaded squids 30 kn (4.5 euros), up to 75-100 kn and more (fish, meat) Ice cream shows bring together children and adults (they make snowmen, Pinocchio, etc. ). On a small pier, small fishing boats and beautiful yachts (many under the Italian flag). Euros can be changed at the hotel and in the city in exchange offices, but the most favorable rate is at the post office (it is near the fountain, you can’t confuse it, because it is the only one). We found 3 markets with reasonable prices (before leaving, we bought Maraschino liquor 104 kunas-15 euros, Babich wine 45 kunas-7 euros. One pharmacy, not far from the church with a monument to the Padre. There are many souvenir shops in the city with magnets, beads, mugs, shells, lavender ( there it grows on every corner), wine, etc. We went to Split on our own (an hour 33 kunas (5 euros) by bus per person one way), the Palace of Emperor Diocletian is interesting there, on its territory there is a museum of the city of Split, an ethnographic museum , there is also an archeological museum, the Cathedral of St. Duje. We also visited Trogir (40min. drive one way 23kuna ticket (3 euros). There is a beautiful medieval fortress with the Carmelengo tower (20kuna adults and 15kuna child), the Cathedral of St. Lavro, southern and northern gates, Gorda Museum, Museum of Icons (in the clock tower), Venetian houses. . . And we went to Sibenik (40 min. one way by bus and 21 kun ticket for 1 person one way). There we visited the fortress of St. Anna (20 kn entrance, child free), Museum of medieval torture instruments (30 kn adult and 20 kn child). We went to these cities on local regular buses, which depart from the only stop in Primosten at the fountain, in the same place, or at the hotel schedule. The hotel staff does not understand Russian well, more in English and French. The Croatian language is not similar to ours, only rare individual words. The host was Panoramic, a trip to Plitvice Lakes was ordered from their guide (adult 590 kn (85 euros), children under 12 years old 50 percent discount, (we drove 6 hours round trip on the expressway, 4.5 hours there. Never once I didn’t get nasty or rude, everywhere there are smiles, friendly faces, a feeling of complete security. We were in Croatia for the first time; the air and the purest water are conquering!
