Stayed with my son for a week. The hotel is wonderful! To the sea 3 minutes, just go down the stairs from the room, past the restaurant - and immediately the beach. The beach is small pebbles. Very varied and tasty dishes for breakfast and dinner. It's about 50 minutes walk to the old town, next to the hotel there is a bus stop.

Only 1 minus: there is no refrigerator in the room.

I can't tell you about my trip to Croatia with my husband. Last year, we thought for a long, long time where to go on vacation. It always happens when you read about one country, you want to go there at that moment, as a result you read tons of information on different countries, you suffer, waste time, but you can’t decide.

I can't tell you about my trip to Croatia with my husband. Last year, we thought for a long, long time where to go on vacation. It always happens when you read about one country, you want to go there at that moment, as a result you read tons of information on different countries, you suffer, waste time, but you can’t decide. In the end, we settled on Croatia. The whole Internet screams: "Dubrovnik is the pearl of the Adriatic!!! ". Well, let's go, otherwise we have been living for so many years, but we have not seen the pearl of the Adriatic.
With the choice of a travel agency, the question did not arise for us - we always travel with Denas tour, and they have never let us down, always only positive emotions. We flew to Croatia from Yekaterinburg in 3 hours without incident. And saw Dubrovnik. . .
This is truly an amazing city. It is included by UNESCO in the top three most beautiful cities - monuments of Europe of the Renaissance (besides it there are Venice and Amsterdam). There are a lot of small hotels and seafood restaurants, and a lot of excursions. Dubrovnik has many bars and several discos. And, of course, the stunning Adriatic Sea (without it, we would not have gone there)
The hotel where we stayed was called VIS 3*. Quite a decent hotel. In general, I must say, there are not so many chic and luxurious hotels, most of them are 3 *, but all are quite decent and comfortable, you can safely take it and not be afraid for the level of service or food, although we only had breakfast. From the very beginning we counted on the fact that we would have lunch and dinner somewhere in the city, as it turned out later, we did the right thing - it’s more interesting and tastier.
About the local cuisine, you need to start a separate conversation. There are two main areas - fish and meat, depending on geography. I explain: historically, the cuisine of the coastal part of the country was strongly influenced by Italian and Greek cuisine, there is just a fabulous selection of fish and seafood. In the continental part, amazing meat dishes. I definitely advise everyone to try such national dishes as Dalmatian or Istra prosciutto (dried meat), Pash and sheep cheese, Samobor or Zagorsk cheshnovki (sausages), turkey with corn dough. In addition to the mass of interesting national dishes, there is also a standard set of European cuisine, as well as amazing wines.
As I said, Dubrovnik is a city with a very rich history, and we tried to get on the maximum number of excursions. This is (of course) a sightseeing tour of the city, and to the Museum of Navigation, and the Church of St. Blasius, etc. But I would also like to recommend a tour called a fish picnic. This is essentially a boat trip on a yacht along the coast of Dubrovnik. During the journey we were entertained by national music and choral singing. When we sailed to a picturesque bay, in the depths of which there was a cozy restaurant with an open terrace, there we were waiting for an amazing lunch of fish dishes, national treats and an unlimited amount of homemade wine. Then the entertainment program began, and after a hearty dinner and fun competitions, there was a massive swim in the sea. By the way, it (the sea) in Croatia is incredibly clean and beautiful.
In general, of course, it is useless to write and read about Croatia - you need to pack your things and go to enjoy this magnificent place.
Naturally, I want to say a huge thank you to the organizers of the tour for the fact that all the adventures were only pleasant, everything was on time and according to a pre-agreed schedule.
