In the village of Olion on the island of Thassos
We spent a week with friends in Greece. Initially, we were going to Halkidiki, Thassos is not such a well-known tourist destination, but it seemed to us very very interesting. And excellent Greek cuisine, and natural beauty, and sandy beaches - everything that we saw is sandy, and most of it is not crowded, and the fact that the island is so close to the mainland. We got to it faster than we usually got to Kassandra, although it may be that earlier these were tour transfers, and now it is an independent route. Ferries from Kavala run every half hour, and there are also from Keramoti. There are quite a few places that deserve to be circled around the island. The authentic village of Theologos with intricate roof tiles, the monastery of the Archangel Michael, the patron saint of the island, the Athos peninsula on the horizon. And green beaches.
I would like to return as soon as possible, and to be honest, I really count on it, because my friends, having fallen in love with this place, decided to buy a house here, and during the trip I acted as their translator. It was almost spontaneous: the dream of a house against the backdrop of reading newspapers prompted me to ask about prices... and the prices were arranged.
What impressed me was that their house was in the process of finalization, and during the holidays they were shopping - choosing tiles, kitchen furniture, creating an interior plan with the architect and all the small details of the house that they would need, and all this within a week Total. And at the exit we received a house as if on order, and when we left, we celebrated it around the pool in their garden with olives, which, by the way, can be used to your advantage - literally handing over for processing into your own oil.
In total, now in Greece I have new friends as a result of participating in this story. All this translation and consulting made me feel like a sort of ambassador of Greece, and I can never tell a story about how easy it is to organize your own house in Greece if you deal with a reliable company, with absolutely not so unimaginable money. - a factor, or something, of a decrease in demand in general and a crisis everywhere, inclines to a good discount.
