Instead of a hotel room, we were placed in an "apartment". And it sounds nice and looks bigger than our apartment. Only now the floors are tiled - very cold, so woolen socks were very useful to us =)
Breakfasts were monotonous and modest. Pancakes torn for parts, boiled eggs, tasteless sausages, delicious tomatoes and cucumbers, at first there were dried olives, then they disappeared, bread, feta cheese, cheese and ham. One or two types of confiture, coffee-tea and yupi (just add water).
Service was inconspicuous and non-existent. Changed towels (not linen) and cleaned the room only once in 7 days. We took out the garbage ourselves, otherwise we would have grown in it. Taking into account the fact that the hotel did not have a foot wash from the beach, it was very inconvenient without a second pair of flip flops.

Dinner was also monotonous, very average in taste and what was very surprising - fruits were given to each in a row, no more than once per evening, there was no sweet (from dough, or jelly) for dinner at all, twice instead of fruits (grapes, mostly , as well as nectarines) gave something like manna soaked in syrup.
The child didn’t get enough food, he didn’t like anything, he constantly went half-starved after dinner u003d (In the morning, pancakes with confiture went well and fruits and vegetables - he loves it.
We ourselves bought grapes, peaches, bought a melon - it tastes like a cucumber, it's even amazing how this can happen in this area.
From 11 a. m. to 3 p. m. we had the sea and the sun, if it wasn’t covered with clouds especially strongly. Then the sun was turned off and early August or late July set in in St. Petersburg. We went to a tavern every other day, where they spoke Russian and cooked very tasty food. The price was 10-12 euros per person.
The beach is "wild" rocky and sandy, no one watches it especially. Lying here and there thrown by tourists, and maybe by natives, plastic cups and bottles. But the sea - yes... Still warm, clean, sparkling in the sun, amazing, attractive. At the very beginning there was a calm, when they left - a light storm.
The bottom of the sea is not very interesting, but more curious than even in Turkey. A terrible number of sea urchins, which were warming themselves somewhere warmer on the pebbles, shoals of all kinds of different fish, but mostly of one, sandy color, algae, over which it was eerie to swim.
We went on excursions. Dion-Olympus-Virgina and Thessaloniki. The Greeks do not follow their antiquities very well, beautifully, but there is nothing special to see. Ephesus in Turkey was much more spectacular. We climbed to Olympus (this is not one mountain, but the name of a whole range of 38 peaks) along a serpentine, a very beautiful view of the sea from a height (about 1000m above the sea). In Vergina - looked at the tombs of Pope Alexander the Great and his son Alexander IV. Such cute tombs, only they were not allowed inside, they showed only what was in them.

For some reason, lunch was not included in the price of the ticket (not sickly, by the way), we were taken to some tavern, where we ate for 36 euros for two, and where the aunt-saleswoman put food with her hands.
The second excursion was to the city of Thessaloniki. Free time, the White Tower, the fortress tower in the Old City, the church of St. Demetrius (Thessalonian) and an excursion to the winery. Cahors tasting (I didn’t drink, I can’t), of course, then everyone together began to buy bottles of Cahors and other wines. Then I specifically looked at how much this New Athos Cahors costs in a shop in Metamorphoses - 6.8 euros, and at a winery - 8 euros. But like, pack and give a handbag. Aunt-saleswoman: "right and hand over the bags in luggage, " and I arrived at the room - and the bag was already torn. Some kind of Chinese quality, damn it.
The rest came to an end, the child didn’t bathe fully in the sea - for the first few days we rolled him on an inflatable raft (so that he didn’t get too cold and didn’t get sick), and then it became sharply cold (since October 1) and he just sat on the shore and threw stones into the sea. We swam 2-3 times a day, of course, this is very little =( in general, we didn’t swim.
I will say that the comparison with the rest in Turkey goes to Greece is not in her favor. In Turkey, it was more interesting for us, sunnier, despite the still cool sea (we went in early June), excursions are much cheaper, service is better, food is tastier and more varied at times. Greece has beautiful nature, good people, but these are far from the ancient Hellenes who lived there and left their legacy to modern Greeks =). We will return to Greece, but now we will try our luck on the islands.
