Updated in 2016: new restaurant, new bar, new playground, new swimming pool with hydromassage and children's section (fresh water). Rooms completely renovated in 2019. Built in 1993. Regarding the late check-out - the lock is blocked exactly at 12-00 and if you want to leave later, the cunning Kostya broke 20 euros (like for cleaning))))))! Now for food! Everything is pretty monotonous, but then everything became clear why - there was a wedding on Saturday, we were warned about an early dinner (at 17-30 instead of 19-00) and the products were actively saved for the wedding! But the next day they put kebabs half-eaten by guests for vacationers! There are no desserts! Food not eaten for breakfast will be served as a salad for dinner or a casserole for breakfast! But for a few days, something seemed to have changed: interesting desserts, dishes, excellent meat appeared! It looks like when in % the hotel has more Europeans than Russians - they obviously want to impress! In general, the sea is excellent, we were lucky with the weather! Nature is great! But I definitely won't go there! But I will definitely come back to Greece!

I want to tell you about the hospitable Simeon Hotel and share my impressions about the rest in general.

For the May holidays, I went to rest in beautiful and mysterious Greece. My choice fell on the Halkidiki peninsula, namely the second "finger" - Sithonia, which is famous for the cleanliness of the beaches and rich flora.

Simeon is located in a calm, sparsely populated area with the funny name of Metamorfosi. The convenient location of the village allows you to quickly get to other picturesque towns, for example, Nikiti, Neos Marmaras with beautiful bays, the village of Parthenonos, where you can dine in a tavern overlooking the Turtle Island. Take a free shuttle to the unique Enigma shopping center, where you can buy high-quality souvenirs and everything that our beloved Greece is famous for in one place. And nearby, you can take a walk in the town of Nea Moudania.

Therefore, I will say right away that this is the best hotel in this place.
I didn't believe it was awarded 3 stars. Chic and modern interior design is noticeable and the first thing you pay attention to.

Very clean and spacious. I was greeted with red dry and snacks. We promptly settled in, helped with luggage, clearly and clearly gave the necessary information for a comfortable adaptation at the hotel. In general, this hotel, as it turned out later, is suitable for families and is popular among couples with children. But I got lucky. There were few tourists, as the season is just beginning.

So, a few words about the hotel itself: a large territory, 2 swimming pools with fresh water and sections for children, bars, animation, sports grounds, cozy rooms with everything you need, TV with local radio and, of course, with the first Russian channel. Important: excellent, high-speed Internet, operating throughout the hotel.
Meals according to the all-inclusive system, I still remember the Greek tzatziki sauce and a variety of delicious desserts. By the way, to get to the main restaurant, you need to go through an unusual bridge that seems to connect 2 parts of the hotel, made in the same style. The sea is only 60-70 meters away, sandy beach, partly rocky, with a breathtaking view of the first and second fingers of the region. Nearby are taverns with seafood, shops, bakeries, pharmacies, parks, post office, church.

Yes, you feel at home here, but this is not only a merit of pleasant conditions, but also the work of the staff. For which special thanks. It can be seen that the team is close-knit and friendly, which is always attentive and glad to its guests. My friends were: a sensitive, charming girl Maria, who helped in everything with advice and deed, and the senior booking manager Kostas - kind, helpful and sociable, the reception center, the entire hotel and Metamorfosi.
Thanks to their support and smile, I felt happy.

The hotel guide Roman prepares a rich excursion program for his tourists every day. It doesn't get boring!

P. S. When you choose a place of rest and a hotel, you will probably study more reviews, more information, compare hotels. I wrote this review because I am glad that I was here and I recommend it to you, lovers of European holidays and travel! Thanks for reading.

Hotel Simeon was declared as a quiet place surrounded by pine trees and good beaches. Pine trees - yes, there are, normal beaches - no. The fact that next to the hotel is a narrow strip with stones, algae and garbage. Human (but far from ideal beach) - 800 meters from the hotel and a children's camp rests there. Sunset in the sea - everywhere through the stones.
Now about the hotel - lived in apartments. They are already in a deplorable state - the washing machine did not work, they tried to fix it 3 times - it did not work out. Everything breaks down, turns off, the air conditioner is dirty and noisy, the bathroom has a shower that you need to hold in your hands, there is no curtain - the water is all on the floor. And most importantly - on the last day of rest for a child (2 years old), a chest of drawers with shukhlyads, which stood on 3 legs, fell down !! ! Nearby was an empty room where we washed clothes and which, unlike ours, is designed for three children (we only have 2 children's beds) and a large kitchen, they did not respond to a request to change our room to this one and after 12 (! ) Days the family settled there with one child. We were 2 adults and 3 children.
Now about the work at the reception - do not even hope that the Russian-speaking Konstantin will help you solve the problems that have arisen, contact the hotel owners right away, Konstantin lies and gets out, tested on himself.
The food is terrible! The same thing every day, breakfast is understandable - so everywhere I would like baking, and in Simeon even toast bread and butter were not always enough! And dinners are a complete disappointment, especially if you rest for 17 days. Always one fried potato, stew, sometimes the cheapest fish, abundantly sprinkled with spices that crunch like sand on your teeth (I hope it was not sand! ) + some vegetables stewed and raw. There are no olives and feta for dinner - and this is in Greece! The cook has no imagination at all, we rested in many treshkas in Greece - this has never been seen anywhere. Desserts are semolina porridge processed into a casserole with spices and jelly... all the time only jelly... Fruits - unripe peaches and apricots, and apples cut into slices. A week later, the children refused to eat at the restaurant at all. Conclusion - food is economical, bordering on greed.
Of the good - only a new pool and the area around it. Wouldn't recommend this hotel or village to anyone.

Good afternoon! Stayed with my husband and friends in this hotel. Good, inexpensive hotel. Green area, really liked the beach - sandy. The only negative that this hotel has is paid internet, but we didn’t need it, so it didn’t cause us any problems, such a minus.
In general, the hotel is very pretty, I advise for families and for companies! )

I, my husband, a child 2.5 years old and my grandmother rested with my family in September-October 2010. . We lived in this hotel in apartments, without food. The room did not get right away - as already mentioned, at first they offered the first floor (a worse room), but after asking to see the options, they chose the second one. . . Elena, the wife of the owner of the hotel, gave us a crib, a high chair. . . All our requests were diverted immediately - we have no complaints. . . The only thing is that they are really very rarely cleaned - but there was a mop and a bucket, so I didn’t have any difficulties. . . Walk to the beach for 15 minutes at a calm pace with a child. . . The beach is narrow, but the sand, sun loungers, the water is very clean. . . The village itself is small, but with all the shops and very friendly people. . . Regarding nutrition, since the child is allergic, I mentally prepared myself for daily cooking, but upon arrival we found our salvation: the Liana cafe. . . Its owners are wonderful friendly Liana and John. These are Russian guys living in Greece. . . We immediately explained our problem with food to Liana - and as a result, every day - 2 times a day - we had hot soup for the child at the set time - and a wonderful piping hot dinner for our child (with a very meager assortment of products). . . And all this for very little money. . . Well, not to mention all kinds of food for us - fish, branded eggplants, for which the inhabitants of the village itself come, and much more. . . As a result - we didn’t even go to other cafes - no reason. . . Thank you Liana and Jonik!! ! I can say about the rest - if you want a quiet holiday in a village with the sea, with very friendly people and their delicious food - then you are in the village of Metamorfosi.

Instead of a hotel room, we were placed in an "apartment". And it sounds nice and looks bigger than our apartment. Only now the floors are tiled - very cold, so woolen socks were very useful to us =) Breakfasts were monotonous and modest. And it sounds nice and looks bigger than our apartment. Only now the floors are tiled - very cold, so woolen socks were very useful to us =)
Breakfasts were monotonous and modest. Pancakes torn for parts, boiled eggs, tasteless sausages, delicious tomatoes and cucumbers, at first there were dried olives, then they disappeared, bread, feta cheese, cheese and ham. One or two types of confiture, coffee-tea and yupi (just add water).
Service was inconspicuous and non-existent. Changed towels (not linen) and cleaned the room only once in 7 days. We took out the garbage ourselves, otherwise we would have grown in it. Taking into account the fact that the hotel did not have a foot wash from the beach, it was very inconvenient without a second pair of flip flops.
Dinner was also monotonous, very average in taste and what was very surprising - fruits were given to each in a row, no more than once per evening, there was no sweet (from dough, or jelly) for dinner at all, twice instead of fruits (grapes, mostly , as well as nectarines) gave something like manna soaked in syrup.
The child didn’t get enough food, he didn’t like anything, he constantly went half-starved after dinner u003d (In the morning, pancakes with confiture went well and fruits and vegetables - he loves it.
We ourselves bought grapes, peaches, bought a melon - it tastes like a cucumber, it's even amazing how this can happen in this area.
From 11 a. m. to 3 p. m. we had the sea and the sun, if it wasn’t covered with clouds especially strongly. Then the sun was turned off and early August or late July set in in St. Petersburg. We went to a tavern every other day, where they spoke Russian and cooked very tasty food. The price was 10-12 euros per person.
The beach is "wild" rocky and sandy, no one watches it especially. Lying here and there thrown by tourists, and maybe by natives, plastic cups and bottles. But the sea - yes... Still warm, clean, sparkling in the sun, amazing, attractive. At the very beginning there was a calm, when they left - a light storm.
The bottom of the sea is not very interesting, but more curious than even in Turkey. A terrible number of sea urchins, which were warming themselves somewhere warmer on the pebbles, shoals of all kinds of different fish, but mostly of one, sandy color, algae, over which it was eerie to swim.
We went on excursions. Dion-Olympus-Virgina and Thessaloniki. The Greeks do not follow their antiquities very well, beautifully, but there is nothing special to see. Ephesus in Turkey was much more spectacular. We climbed to Olympus (this is not one mountain, but the name of a whole range of 38 peaks) along a serpentine, a very beautiful view of the sea from a height (about 1000m above the sea). In Vergina - looked at the tombs of Pope Alexander the Great and his son Alexander IV. Such cute tombs, only they were not allowed inside, they showed only what was in them.
For some reason, lunch was not included in the price of the ticket (not sickly, by the way), we were taken to some tavern, where we ate for 36 euros for two, and where the aunt-saleswoman put food with her hands.
The second excursion was to the city of Thessaloniki. Free time, the White Tower, the fortress tower in the Old City, the church of St. Demetrius (Thessalonian) and an excursion to the winery. Cahors tasting (I didn’t drink, I can’t), of course, then everyone together began to buy bottles of Cahors and other wines. Then I specifically looked at how much this New Athos Cahors costs in a shop in Metamorphoses - 6.8 euros, and at a winery - 8 euros. But like, pack and give a handbag. Aunt-saleswoman: "right and hand over the bags in luggage, " and I arrived at the room - and the bag was already torn. Some kind of Chinese quality, damn it.
The rest came to an end, the child didn’t bathe fully in the sea - for the first few days we rolled him on an inflatable raft (so that he didn’t get too cold and didn’t get sick), and then it became sharply cold (since October 1) and he just sat on the shore and threw stones into the sea. We swam 2-3 times a day, of course, this is very little =( in general, we didn’t swim.
I will say that the comparison with the rest in Turkey goes to Greece is not in her favor. In Turkey, it was more interesting for us, sunnier, despite the still cool sea (we went in early June), excursions are much cheaper, service is better, food is tastier and more varied at times. Greece has beautiful nature, good people, but these are far from the ancient Hellenes who lived there and left their legacy to modern Greeks =). We will return to Greece, but now we will try our luck on the islands.

The hotel was named after himself by the elderly Simeon - its owner, who daily wipes his pants at the hotel reception. Imagine a hotel in Moscow with the name "Semyon". . . Doesn't sound like it, right?
Most of all I was struck by the so-called "buffet". I will list all the dishes for dinner: boiled carrots, corn, sliced tomatoes, sliced u200bu200bcucumbers, onions, horns and pork (instead of it there may be fish, meatballs, etc. ). This is all.
Fruits for dinner do not lie freely on the table, each waiter brings a small bowl of fruit, they do not give a second portion.
Above the table there is an inscription "It is forbidden to take food out of the restaurant" in Russian and Ukrainian. And we seem to not know how to behave at the buffet! Outrageous. For some reason, this inscription is not in English and German...
The room is cleaned badly, for 11 days the bed was changed 1 time. Do not wash in the shower. However, there is no bath or shower, just a recess in the floor with a hole, like in Russian public baths. There is no plug in the sink, the TV remote does not work. Ripped chipboard cabinet. . . Broken shelves in the fridge. . .
The room is tiny, not 20 meters at all.
Yes, what can I say, it resembles some low-budget dispensary in the Russian outback. The contingent is only Russians. Yes, they would try to slip such a hotel to a German !! ! The scandal would be enormous!
The first days we handed over our key to the reception. After one day, tired, having arrived from an excursion, they did not give it to us and said: "look in your bag. " It turned out that our key was given to another woman who confused the room number. We were rude, they say, the key must be carried with you. After the trial, the owner of the hotel, Lena, said: "This woman can apologize to you. " In my opinion, this is not the fault of the woman, but the administration.
For God's sake, trying to save money won't get you any rest. Do not repeat other people's mistakes!
And when we told Lena (the hostess of the hotel) that in no other country, anywhere, we had seen such horror, we were told that we, in fact, needed the room only to come to spend the night. So if it were so, I would take a tent and sleeping bags with me to Greece, and we would do without any hotel, since there is a hot shower on the beach, and you can eat tolerably in numerous taverns.
Metamorphossi - maybe the village is not very good, but buses run in different directions. Marmara, Poligiro, Sarti - go and you won't regret it. Greece has beautiful nature!

We are going to Metamorfosi at the end of June. Maybe someone has already rested in the village this year?! What are the prices on the beach, on excursions? Does it make sense to take a bicycle (we don’t drive a car), we want to go to Nikiti, to Vourvourou beach, if I don’t confuse the name. If you go from Metamorfosi, then Nikiti to the right, and Vourvourou to the left. How is the food in the hotel itself and in general in general? Are the beaches ready, do you need hedgehog slippers? Any information would be welcome...
