I went with a friend to the Porto Carras Meliton hotel on the advice of friends, they had already rested here last year.
It is quite a long drive from the airport, about 2.5 hours (at first we went by bus, on the way back we took an individual transfer that cost 130 euros per car).
In principle, the road is good, the place is very beautiful, what you need. It's quiet here, the beach is amazing. Toward the end of the holiday, we discovered Kohi-kohi beach, it is also near the hotel, you need to go behind the marina, there is a bar, and the sunbeds are more comfortable (6 euros).
Get ready for the fact that you want to travel everywhere, Sithonia is a nature reserve. We took a car to visit Vourvourou, some of the best beaches here. During the day we traveled around the peninsula, a lot of impressions and a lot of beautiful photos!

At the hotel, everyone needs to take a train ride, we first went in the evening, but did not get to the winery, so we repeated it in the morning. The train is completely free, you can see both hotels from the mountain, in general, it’s beautiful.
We had food at breakfast, we did not regret at all. Near the town of Neas Marmaras, we were told that the tavern was taken from the hotel for free. On the first day we went to Limanaki, a small tavern on the seashore. The food is very tasty and the portions are large, for two people with wine came out about 50 euros. Then they themselves sailed there on a boat, which goes from the marina for 2.5 euros, it just stops almost at the tavern.
On Thursday, a small fair takes place in Marmaras. We were lucky, we got cherry season, very tasty!! ! We also bought other fruits, everything costs 1.5-2.5 euros, we ate to satiety.
I would like to say more about the hotel itself. The rooms are super, the departure was late, we extended the room for free until 18.00, because. The hotel had free rooms. The staff is very sociable, at the reception almost everyone speaks Russian: Kirill, Dasha, some other girl.
In general, if you want a good holiday, choose this hotel. Firstly, right on the sea, secondly, the chic territory, thirdly, good rooms and food. The only thing is that the road is long, but if you order an individual transfer, then the problem will be solved.
