It was a forced beach holiday. We didn’t plan to go to the beach on Santorini, we just let the ferry to Crete three days later, and therefore we had to stay on the volcano island. The beaches here are disgusting, made of volcanic sand and black pebbles. Accordingly, no azure sea for you, only a deep blue color.

Our hotel was 5 minutes walk from the sea. Plus (importantly) had a good pool with sun loungers, and we spent more time in it than on the beach. The hotel is quite new, everything is clean and serviceable, the room is spacious, there is everything you need. There are quite a lot of rooms, but only five were inhabited. Special thanks to the hostess, who is doing her best to create comfort and coziness for the guests in this difficult coronavirus time. At breakfast, she asks for food wishes, she is very nice and sociable, she helped us with the transfer to the port.
Around the hotel there are many shops and cafes, within walking distance are also the ruins of ancient Fira, you can visit. Well, rental cars and ATVs. So if you really had to relax in Santorini, then the Santellini hotel is a very worthy accommodation option.
