The Grand Hotel is far enough from the city center in a place where even its very name seems ridiculous. A chic multi-storey building is located next to some broken industrial pavilions, depicted, as well as the whole city, with graffiti on various topics. Across the road, apparently in order to somehow revive the area, you can see several sportswear stores and a supermarket with a rather meager assortment. All shops, except for one shop, located on the ground floor of a residential building behind a supermarket, are closed on Sunday.
The hotel itself is tastefully designed and furnished. All tones, as well as lines and forms are sustained, the atmosphere is pleasing to the eye. The food is not very varied, but tasty. For those who have chosen the system of accommodation with breakfast and dinner, drinks will be offered at dinner. However, after getting acquainted with the price list for a "drink", the thirst disappears.
You can eat at the hotel restaurant outside the terms of your tour, but again you need to consider the cost. For example, the price of a portion of an omelet will be 12 euros. Expensive? It seemed to me that yes.

There is no alternative to the hotel restaurant nearby, so you will either have to sneak into the center or buy up at the supermarket.
On the ground floor near the reception there is a bar where you can sit in the evening with a cup of hot chocolate (5 euros).
All local staff are very helpful, everyone who had to contact was very nice and quickly resolved the issues that I brought.
Representatives of the company that organized the tour - Mouzenidis Travel, on the contrary, did not distinguish themselves with special friendliness. The principle is this - I’ll say a few words and don’t strain anymore.
I even remember such an unpleasant moment when a girl from the Musenidis tour sent me and my wife to solve the problem with the safe not working in the room on their own to the representatives of the hotel, although she herself knows Greek and was literally a stone's throw from the reception. It seems like a trifle, but the sediment remained.
And in general, apart from the chic guide, who conducted an interesting sightseeing tour of Thessaloniki, I can’t say anything special about the guys from the Mouzenidis Tour.
For accommodation. As already mentioned, the hotel both from the inside and from the outside looks good, stylish and rich. However, I can not say anything good about the room in which I had to live. Small, cold, with old furniture, siphon windows. The bed is clean and cleaned well, but the general appearance of the room, of course, does not correlate with the service.
The whole day our air conditioner worked without turning off, terribly drying the air, but it still did not save us from the flu.
