The first time I really did not want the trip to end. Despite minor problems and nuances, in general, the rest in Rhodes and, specifically, in this hotel, I think that I was a success.
The vacation destination in Greece was determined based on the fact that they have been to Turkey several times, it doesn’t pull in Egypt, it’s far away to the Dominican Republic and Thailand with children, and I have long wanted to visit Greece, especially the All Inc hotel. A friend of mine stayed at this hotel last year and was delighted. And after reading the reviews of tourists on various sites, we decided - Louis Colossos Beach is the place where we and our children will be comfortable.
The Troika tour operator decided to save money on the air carrier, so Nord Star (Taimyr Airlines) flew. That the Boeing737 aircraft, that the amenities - 2 points. The absence of an elementary blanket (to cover the youngest daughter), mediocre food, a toilet in the tail for the entire economy cabin for 200 people. The host side of Teztour is beyond competition! Immediately I want to note the guide who accompanied us from the airport and back, she is also a guide at the hotel - Valeria! For the first time in my practice, a reasonable, non-intrusive, easily explaining guide. The road to the hotel took a little over an hour, instead of the stated 30 minutes.
When you go to a hotel that was built in the 80s, you should expect that there will be no super rooms. However, the hotel is not shabby, clean, the rooms are small but comfortable. Cleaning every day, often accompanied by a change of linen and towels (children! ). Tipping left - do not take! Phone, navigator, money, camera often remained on the table for the whole day - nothing was missing!
The food is good, fruits are quite decent for the beginning of June, meat and fish are in abundance. And lovers of fast food and Chinese cuisine will have no time to rest from food.
The beach can be called sandy with a stretch. Yellow-gray sand with pebbles, the entrance to the sea is pebbles. We adapted to enter from the right side on a natural plate in the sea, so no one complained. There are many snorkellers in the sea. The water temperature is 20-21 (difficult for the first five minutes, then you get used to it). The water in the pool is cool, but warmed up by lunchtime.
There is a water park next to the hotel, we devoted one day to it: both adults and children will like it! They took fruit and water with them - no one said a word against it (imagine this situation in Anapa or Gelendzhik). We went to the hotel for lunch without any problems, returned two hours later. Staff only: Hello! Also next to the hotel is an amusement park, where the entrance for a child is 6 euros (at least ride the carousels and attractions all day), adults are free.
Excursions were not taken, because. for the price of 4 unprofitable. We traveled independently to Rhodes twice on a regular bus (2 euros / adult, 1 euro / child ticket). We independently examined the port, the embankment, the old city. Just impressed! Shopped for souvenirs for family and friends. We walked from the hotel to Faliraki (20-30 minutes).
We rented a car (through the guide Valeria, rent a car Hertz). We traveled around the perimeter of the entire island (dashed off more than 250 km). We visited 7 springs, Tsampika beach, climbed uphill to the Tsampika church, Lindos, Prassonissi (here is the sand), on the west coast there are several villages, incl. Sian (we bought honey, olive oil, olives, local moonshine, homemade wine), put a candle in the church of St. Panteleimon, examined the fortress in Kritinia. There were no problems along the way, there was no aggression from local drivers (despite the fact that we flipped our faces around). We handed over the car, just leaving the keys at the reception in the hotel.
I would like to note the attitude towards people in churches. Women will be given a scarf, water to drink and wash, please, candles DO NOT BUY, but are given. If a woman is in shorts or trousers, you will not be scolded, but will smile sweetly and be invited to pass - you have come to God.
What to say at the end. The imprints of positive emotions, the good-natured attitude of the residents, the high level of service, beautiful landscapes and historical monuments smoothed out some minor shortcomings. The next trip with children to the sea will only be in Greece, be it Rhodes, Crete, Kassandra.
