The Stella administrator also quietly ordered, and the room was "cleaned up". After we re-entered, the state of the room remained almost the same. Approaching again, with the same simple request to the reception, the hostess of the hotel, named Despinara, was already there. My short request (in English) was polite: "I'm not asking you to change our room, just let it be properly cleaned. "
The receptionist informed the hostess of my initial request, and Despinara, indignantly, decided to go and check herself. Naturally, she discovered the same state of the room, never ceasing to resent us. In the room, we calmly said: "We do not require sterile cleanliness, but only to qualitatively clean at least the floor in the room and in the bathroom. " To which she asked why we did not look for another hotel with more clean rooms ? ! Then she called the cleaning lady and told her to clean the room with bleach)). In the following days of our stay, she did not greet us on the territory of the hotel, although the cleaning lady herself and the administrator smiled politely and asked if everything was fine. We noticed a similar manner of her communication with other guests of the hotel.
If you do not pay attention to it, the hotel staff (administrators, restaurant workers, guys at the bar, cook) are friendly, wonderful people, who left a very good impression.
The hotel itself is small, on the second line, right next to the road. The hotel has a small swimming pool.
The food is well prepared, but the variety of dishes is weak and monotonous. The situation is the same with sweets. Likewise with drinks. Juices only in shops.
Animation Entertainment: one evening a local singer sang songs and a disco for hotel guests.
It takes about 5 minutes to go to the beach. There are free sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach. There are small places on the beach where you can go into the sea and swim.
There is where to walk in the village, many shops and taverns.
We rented a car for 4 days and traveled around Crete. We went to the beach of Elafonissi, there is like an anthill, sooooo many people. Since there was a storm for several days, we drove to the opposite coast of the island through the mountains. Unforgettable impression! The sea was cool but calm.
Crete is an amazing place where you want to return. I advise you to drive around the island to see its beauty.
Hotel Amnissos, I do not recommend, it does not correspond to its category. Although we have been to a three-star hotel in Crete before.
And it would not be bad for the owner of the hotel Despinare to take training courses on communication skills, courtesy and the hotel business in general. Families with children are not for you.

We always considered our plans for the day based on the time of the mini disco, because my daughter could not survive the evening without this "rite".

We skipped breakfast, woke up only for a coffee break, at that time the restaurant had very tasty fresh muffins with lemon and puffs. The restaurant is very neat and clean, very pleasant service, all the staff speaks English and some Russian. As soon as a dirty plate appears on the table, it is immediately removed. The food is decent, a good selection of dishes: meat, fish, seafood, several types of side dishes, salads, fresh vegetables, ripe fruits, the dessert table is also varied.
The room is clean, there were, of course, small questions about the shower, but they were quickly resolved. The furniture is not only bought, but in excellent condition, the mattress is comfortable. They put a crib for the child, but she always slept with us, so we refused it. The air conditioner hung directly above the bed, but was regulated (lower the shutters down or lift up). There is a fridge in the room, brand new, they brought it right before our arrival. Kettle and iron asked at the reception for free. Wi-fi is available throughout the hotel free of charge. The safe in the room is paid, but we did not take it.
There are two bars on the territory, they work in turn and until 23:00. The pools are large and small for children.

The food here is varied and tasty, there are fresh salads, cold hot appetizers, meat dishes, fish and soups. The child can be fed without problems, plus a lot of fruit-vitamins.
The hotel has both an adult and a children's pool, an area with sun loungers for relaxation, and a bar where you can take soft drinks. Internet worked well everywhere.
The animation also did not disappoint, the child was constantly busy with games, dancing, swimming. I used to do yoga or gymnastics in the morning. In the evening they sang karaoke and danced. Once the hotel arranged a themed evening, in accordance with Cretan traditions, music and dances, it was quite fun and interesting.
We went on a tour of Balos (the bay where 3 seas merge) and the Palace of Knossos, it was very interesting and informative, especially to my son, many thanks to the guide.

The food here is varied and tasty, there are fresh salads, cold hot appetizers, meat dishes, fish and soups. The child can be fed without problems, plus a lot of fruit-vitamins.
The hotel has both an adult and a children's pool, an area with sun loungers for relaxation, and a bar where you can take soft drinks. Internet worked well everywhere.
The animation also did not disappoint, the child was constantly busy with games, dancing, swimming. I used to do yoga or gymnastics in the morning. In the evening they sang karaoke and danced. Once the hotel arranged a themed evening, in accordance with Cretan traditions, music and dances, it was quite fun and interesting.
We went on a tour of Balos (the bay where 3 seas merge) and the Palace of Knossos, it was very interesting and informative, especially to my son, many thanks to the guide.
In general, the rest left a good impression. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, warm atmosphere, food, service, staff. We are very satisfied with everything and, of course, we will come back here again! We fell in love with Crete!

The hotel is in a good location, the place is calm, and Rethymno is 20 minutes away by bus. The bus stop is next to the hotel. The territory is well-groomed and green.
The beach is 200 meters away, but we haven’t swum yet, we mostly rested by the pool.

Our daughter was delighted with the animators of the Grekoleto kids club. It is immediately clear that the guys are doing their job, find an approach to each child. It is very convenient that the animators speak Russian and English. The presence of programs of different subjects (sports, creative, developing, etc. ) makes the rest of the kids exciting and interesting.
I can say one thing about the room - it is normal for 3 *. If you want some frills, then choose a hotel with a higher star rating. Everything is standard here, the room is not big, but very cozy and clean. We paid attention to cleanliness most of all, but the staff coped with their work. The mattresses and pillows are not new, but quite comfortable. All necessary equipment is available in the room.

The nearest city of Rethymnon is about 10 kilometers away, maybe a little less, so you won’t be able to walk to it. We rented a car and got there without any problems. Everything is very close and conveniently located. There is mini golf, it is also free on site. We were almost never on the beach, while it was cool to swim, we rested by the pool. Pebble beach, well maintained, just three minutes from the hotel. There are also free sunbeds and umbrellas.
