I spend a lot of time traveling and have been to mainland Greece more than once when I flew to Crete, I didn’t expect anything supernatural, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of attractions, and most importantly, by the wonderful nature. My hotel was called Tryfon, a suburb of Rethymno, a quiet, secluded place, a two-minute walk from the beach, the rooms are spacious, clean, the staff is always friendly, and close to the city. The trip went well, the rest was amazing.

This year, for the third time, my wife and I flew to about. Crete. Well, we love it there! We always choose economical hotels, because we rent a car and travel around the island on our own. Friends advised Motakis village 3 *, which is located in the town of Platanias, not far from the city of Rethymno. I must say right away that the place is very nice with shops and taverns... So, we got a room overlooking the territory with a kitchenette (electric stove, microwave, kettle and refrigerator). In general, quite simple, but neat. The beach next to the hotel is sandy with small pebbles at the entrance to the water. There is a swimming pool on site with a bar serving a variety of snacks and drinks. There are free sun loungers and umbrellas by the pool, but on the beach a couple of sun loungers plus an umbrella cost already 6 euros. But you can again use straw mats, which are sold in any trading shop. City buses run from the hotel to Rethymno, the fare is about one and a half euros one way. But we mostly traveled by car. Traveled almost the entire island up and down. We visited the Palace of Knossos and the Samaria Gorge, the Labyrinth of the Minotaur and the beach of Elafonissi... In general, we are satisfied with the rest! And a special "THANK YOU" to Mouzenidis Travel for organizing our holiday!! !

The location of the hotel is not bad, there is greenery around and access to the beach right from the hotel. We drove a little over an hour to the hotel. The hotel itself had a large and spacious restaurant with a terrace and several bars. The hotel staff is adequate and friendly. The hotel is located in the tourist town of Platanias. It's full of taverns and bars. There is something to do besides a beach holiday - we went to Santorini, to the Palace of Knossos. Rethymno itself has many shops and restaurants. Food everywhere is fresh and tasty, oddly enough - Greek. The week flew by, we want more))))

Who wants a lot of bars and discos you NEED TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER HOTEL!!!! ! We got what we wanted 100% - calmly and well! NO drunken youth and rumbling bars until the morning.

Who wants a lot of bars and discos you NEED TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER HOTEL!!!! ! We got what we wanted 100% - calmly and well! NO drunken youth and rumbling bars until the morning. We lived in the Stethali building. Lovely woman at the reception - Maria. Speaks Russian. language. Always ready to answer questions and help. The owner Steve is a very nice person. In their hotel you feel at home or with relatives! Breakfast is good, variety of food. Nobody leaves hungry. Across the road from the hotel, a little to the right there is a tavern - they cook tasty and large portions. 14 days ate only with them. Always a friendly atmosphere. The beach is nearby. We rented a car for a week. Didn't regret it at all. We drove a Kia Picanto automatic - about 30 euros a day, if I'm not mistaken - 27ev. The longer the rental period, the cheaper per day. We visited a lot of great places! We drove almost the entire island, we didn’t reach only Ag. Nicholas. We went to Santorini - I advise everyone. Loved it so much, I want to come back! But only in this building, because there are several buildings and different owners. . . Thanks to Steve and Maria for a great vacation and a lot of positive emotions!! !

The sea is very close. though for those who love sandy beaches, this place is unlikely to fit. The beach there is rather pebbly and the entrance to the sea is not convenient. This is a quiet place away from the road. Although it is close to stopping. It is located at the Sky Park tavern (the only place where we did not like the service: very long, not very tasty and drunken waiters). Two men are cleaned in the room every day. There were no complaints about the quality of cleaning. The room has a not very comfortable shower room (it is cramped and the water stays in the pan for a very long time, and sometimes spills onto the floor). For those who are not going to stay in the hotel for the whole vacation, but are going to spend the night there only, the motakis hotel is an ideal option. Breakfasts, although the same every morning, but delicious, you will not stay hungry. Steve and Maria (the owners of the hotel) are very sincere people. Maria can be approached for all questions of interest. She will gladly help.

Specify in which buildings you will be accommodated. I advise you to book in Stethali (the breakfasts were just excellent, and the attitude towards people is just great), otherwise you risk running into the buildings of Trefoni, where Mouzenidis settles and, accordingly, spoil your vacation (see previous reviews).

Nice, cozy, family run hotel. My family liked it very much. We rented a car, went to the water park and the Palace of Knossos. Near the hotel there is a Lidl supermarket where you can buy everything from food. The hotel is very clean, nice and comfortable. I advise you to relax with small children. The attitude of the staff is very kind.

The attitude of the staff is very kind. Everything on the beach was in laying eggs of sea turtles, and this speaks of the cleanliness of the environment. The only thing you need to buy slippers for swimming, because the entrance to the sea - pebbles. The beach is very decent - sandy. I love loneliness on the beach, so I never took a sunbed, but bought an umbrella and lay on the sand (away from everyone). Germans and Russians rest in the grounds. Sincerely, Victoria.
