"Mediterranean Princess Hotel 4 *" is one of the hotels that I want to talk about in a little more detail.
Acquaintance with him happened in an advertising and information tour of Greece.
Relatively new (built in 2008), it impresses from the first minute. Exquisite furniture, tastefully selected interior items, textiles - everything has an imprint of elegance and good taste. And what about the forged staircase in the hall and mirrored ceilings in the corridors? !
1. Location: the hotel is located 0.8 km from the village of Paralia Katerini, 8 km from the town of Katerini (bus stop 100 m from the hotel, taxi fare 1 euro / 1 km).
2. Territory: relatively small, fairly well-groomed and green.
3. Rooms: 75 rooms: promotional rooms (located on the ground floor), standards, superiors (larger room area), junior suites (a bedroom combined with a living room, a fireplace in the living room, a round (! ) bed in the bedroom, on the terrace - sun loungers), VIP suites. Possible placement: 2.2+1.2+2.
The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, LCD TV, satellite TV (there is a Russian channel, no Ukrainian), telephone, mini-bar (extra charge), safe (free of charge), bath / shower, hairdryer, balcony / terrace.
4. Meal plan: half board. Restaurant, a la carte restaurant, bar, pool bar.
5. The sandy beach is 120 m from the hotel. There is also an embankment, a party place where people come to relax even from Athens. On the beach: a good entrance to the sea, sunbeds, umbrellas for free, no towels!
6. Internet corner (extra charge), free Wi-Fi in public areas of the hotel.
7. Gym (free of charge), sauna (extra charge). There is no spa, but the shuttle bus takes guests to the neighboring Mediterranean Village Resort & Spa.
8. For children - playground, children's pool, baby cot on request free of charge. In Paralia Katerinis there is a large Luna Park.
9. Free parking (both for private and rented cars).
10. It is possible to receive guests with limited mobility.
Note: For some, the minus will be 120 m to the beach. As for me, this is even a plus - you will not “overgrow with fat”.
Summary: 5 on a five-point scale. Suitable for completely different categories of guests, but more for lovers of parties and active idleness.

I came to Greece for the first time last year and was completely fascinated by Her. Considering that I used to be on about. Rhodes, definitely decided to go to the mainland, because. I really wanted to go to Athens.
The first impression of the hotel was pleasant, the only thing that did not appeal from the first seconds was the high and steep stairs to the hall. For us, the ladder was not difficult (except that it was hard to pull our luggage up it), but we had an elderly person with us, who found it difficult to climb it.
At the reception, we were met by a very pleasant girl - Voula, who quickly arranged a settlement, and when asked if someone could help us with luggage, she was embarrassed, answered that there was no one now and rushed out into the street to drag our things into a luggage trolley.
Fortunately, the hotel has an elevator, it even goes to the pool. Having quickly got to the floor we needed, we went to our rooms, we had 2 of them (2-bed standards). Both rooms did not directly overlook the sea or the mountains, but the campsite located behind the fence from the hotel. Although we soon appreciated this, because. The sun was with us only in the early morning and before sunset. The balcony did not have time to heat up. There are mosquitoes - take them with you.
Standard room, not very big. The room has a double bed with 2 bedside tables, a long nightstand under a mirror, an ottoman and a chair. In the corridor there is a long wardrobe with hangers, a refrigerator, a sideboard with 2 glasses (no kettle) and a safe. The bathroom has a hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, shower. On the balcony there is a table with two chairs and an ashtray.
One of the rooms was not cleaned when we moved in. There was no soap and used shower gel and shampoo. There was small debris in the corner, like crumbling plaster. This upset us a little.
In the future, this did not happen again, the rooms were cleaned for 5+, towels were changed every day, bedding every two days; gel, soap and shampoo as you use.
Breakfast is standard for Europe. Eggs, bacon, sausages, sausages, salads, yoghurts, fruits, jams, muesli, cereals, all kinds of nuts, honey, milk. Tea and coffee is included in the price. Just a lot. There was always enough space on the open veranda, it was empty inside - although the whole hotel was full.
Dinners always (we were 10 days) were varied, at least 4 meat dishes, 2-3 types of seafood, 6-7 salads, 6-7 side dishes, not counting snacks, sweets and fruits. Drinks - for a fee. Water 1l. costs 2.5 euros, wine from 11 to 17 per bottle, a glass of 3.5-4 euros. All cocktails are 7.5 euros.
Walk 200 meters to the sea along the access road to the hotel. The beach is excellent - a wide sandy strip, umbrellas and sun loungers for free. There is always a hotel employee on the beach who removes garbage, cleans sand from sun loungers and makes sure that there are no strangers and brings drinks from the hotel. On the beach, the cost of Frappe and Pepsi is 3 euros. Tipping in Greece is customary to leave at a rate of 3-5%, but no one requires you to do so. In general, everywhere in Greece this issue is resolved at the request of the client, and if you do not want to tip, no one will look askance at you. In some establishments they even refuse to take a tip, categorically returning your money.
Until 10 am the sea is like glass - not even ripples. 2 times stumbled upon jellyfish. One of them stung, it was a little hot, but by the evening it was gone (there were jellyfish, only early in the morning). After 10, the sea was covered with ripples like clockwork and algae (small ribbons) appeared along the coast, but their number did not cause discomfort. The water was warm and clean. An excellent entry into the sea - only sand, pebbles do not come across, there is no one but small fish. Traveling with children is great. at 15 m. the depth is not very large - a maximum of 1.2 - 1.3 m. Swimmers need to go 25 - 30 m. to 2 meters deep.
I would like to express my gratitude to the staff! Guys All good fellows. Very attentive, friendly, remember what kind of coffee you drink, quickly respond to any request. We did not expect drinks for more than 2 minutes at dinner. On the beach, a maximum of 5. The only thing is that none of the staff speaks Russian, so if you have any wish, either English or German, or wait for your hotel guide.
Near the pool were only 3 times - in the evening after the beach. Mostly Europeans spend time there. The pool is big and you can swim. There are 2 islands, so the people are easily distributed around and no one interferes with anyone. The pool is cleaned every night - clean. In several places in the pool I saw peeling paint on the bottom, but this did not affect the time spent in the water. The pool is open from 10 am to 19 pm, as well as the bar next to it.
We walked to the city of Paralia. Walk about 1.5 - 2 km. It took us 10-15 minutes. Several times took a taxi 3-4 euros. Resort town. Many shops are open all day without a siesta break. Although the main life begins at night. Many cafes are open until the morning and people sit there all night. There are many fur and souvenir shops in the town. Trade everywhere. True, it is better to take a fur coat in Kastoria - there both the choice and the price are more pleasant. In the town there is Lun o-Park, bicycle rickshaw rental. On the border of the town, if you walk from the hotel, there is a fishing pier where fresh seafood is brought every morning. There is also a fish tavern. There is only fresh fish from the morning catch, very tasty and reasonable prices. Come in, you won't regret it. Lunch for three of us cost 35 euros. Portions are very large so limit yourself to 1 salad for 2.
We went to Katerini. Small town. Central street with shops (not souvenir). There are no fur coats. There are few tourists there, mostly Greeks. There are many cafes, there are churches, but the town did not make much of an impression. Travel by bus min. 15-20, ticket price 1.5 euros, taxi 7-10 min. to the center, the cost is 8 euros.

Warm, clear sea, sandy beach, fully equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers. Along the coastline there is a track for jogging, a path for cyclists and roller skaters. This is not the first time we are resting in Greece, at the hotel we liked the room in such an aristocratic style, everything is in dark colors, but at the same time it is stylish and beautiful. We plan to come here again, because we liked it very much and I recommend it to everyone.

Disagree with previous review! the hotel is quite good for its price! when we rested, there were a lot of young people, but it is better to organize the rest for yourself) outside the hotel! we used it for a "base")) only slept there) comfortable accommodation is important for us - which we got. Near Paralia - shops, hangouts, all attractions are within easy reach))) so I recommend this hotel for active tourists! you definitely won't be disappointed! sandy beach 300 meters to go, sunbeds are free! the hotel itself is very stylish, beautiful forged railings at the stairs in the lobby, the rooms are modern! we reviewed many hotels, but we immediately fell in love with this one))) and the price is great!.

Well, what can I say... To the four, honestly, the hotel is a little short of it, but it has every chance of becoming it - everything for this is available here. The hotel is practically new, you can feel it in everything. Everything is clean, the staff is trying, everyone is very friendly and unobtrusive.

The hotel is practically new, you can feel it in everything. Everything is clean, the staff is trying, everyone is very friendly and unobtrusive. The only unpleasant surprise was the noisy air conditioner, which hums like a vacuum cleaner at night, and you can open the door to the balcony only by turning on the fumigator - there are plenty of mosquitoes in Paralia.
Breakfasts and dinners are very good. The paid drinks at dinner somewhat blur the impression, but for Greece this is par for the course. The beach is three hundred meters from the hotel, quite clean, sunbeds are free, the entrance to the sea is very comfortable, the sea is clear, there are almost no algae, hedgehogs and other needles, but you can easily step on a dry thorn on the beach or a sharp shell in the water. In general, it is useful to look under your feet.
Summary.
A hotel for a quiet comfortable pensioner's rest, which is confirmed by the main composition of vacationers - elderly couples from Germany, Greece, Austria, Poland, Romania, a little less often from Russia. Rare young people clearly felt restless.
All the shortcomings are easily eliminated, the desire of the staff to grow is felt, so I assess the prospects for this generally cozy place as not bad. Normal hotel for your money.
