Actually, in 2019, they have already been to their beloved Turkey: in February in Adalya Elite Lara 5 * on the Antalya coast, and in May in the Aegean region in Omer Holiday Resort 4 *, so for a change I wanted to go to Greece. But the warmer and previously tested by us in the so-called off-season Crete and Rhodes were completely unaffordable in cost. These two hotels (Platamon Cronwell and Olympus Grand) for our dates at the beginning of October for 2 adults. + 2 children (9 and 8 years old) were at the same cost, which suited me very much. We were in Olympus, what can we repeat. And in Platamon there is a good option in case of rain - an indoor pool with a sauna. We arrived at the hotel in the morning. Before settling into the room, we managed to do a lot of things: have breakfast, get acquainted with the territory and try some water both in the sea and in the pool -/+25 °C. I must say that for the first time we took a thermometer with us. Our environment does not want to believe that we are not freezing in October Greece and Turkey))).
As for the splash park, it's a great place for kids. For older children, it may be boring, although in the heat, adults are not averse to splashing.
There is also a children's bar with ice cream and soda (no alcohol). But personally, I don’t really like the idea of eating and drinking anything in the water, pouring, dripping, etc. But, probably, everything is provided for in terms of water purification…
There is another bar on site. There is also ice cream with soda, from alcohol only beer. Well, pizza, unpretentious burgers during snack hours - simple, but with our lazy nature it helped out (for lunch, when it was completely lazy to go, the children got pizza). By that time, the tavern on the beach was already closed, and the beautiful orange sunbeds attached to it were still in free use for everyone.

In continuation of the children's theme. A game room was found under the guidance of a charming Russian-speaking girl with an ordinary Greek name Aphrodite. Our baby couple is already at the age when they were allowed to come and go on their own. It was not necessary for us, adults, to leave them under the signature (inventory). There were no grandiose events, something was drawn, glued, played board games and just raged in the ball pool ...There was also a separate animation team. The animators carried out exercises, archery was arranged (for some reason it was not very successful).
And, of course, mini-disco, you can't do without it : ))

In general, they grumbled, but the fact remains - the bathroom does not close)).
At the time of check-in, there were no declared bathrobes. In general, they are not very necessary, but when using the SPA center, the thing is convenient. They reminded at the reception, they brought 4 pieces, of which one was in a children's format. It was he who was issued to the smallest member of the family.
But the trick is that the previous one in terms of smallness is not much larger in size, which caused a storm of indignation and accusations of the universe in another injustice when getting a bathrobe in my mother's size . . An additional portion of ice cream solved the problem : ))

We already, according to our impudent tradition, wrote to the hotel about such a significant event in our family. At the same time, they asked, if possible, of course, to place us higher. We got a great option - the fifth floor, the very first (or last) room along the corridor from the end facing the sea. Very fortunate: there is no elevator nearby, and no one is shlyndrat along the corridor, and, practically, with views!
Cooler rooms are only on the 6th floor, there with the most direct views of the sea, well, different suites, and two-level…
Yes, and the cake from the hotel was delicious.
About food.
There wasn't much variety, but the food was delicious. Sometimes decent meat dishes were served, such as goat stew. Very stylish such a fruity collapse.

In general, everything is very simple, economical, ready to collapse at any moment. This is not even grumbling or complaining, but I consciously chose this period. I write about everything for others, suddenly a person, well, cannot put up with such a state of affairs.
I confess that I am not a zealous fan of pets. Or rather, not a fan at all. Maybe that's why I, how to put it correctly ... , do not understand all these feedings and kisses with cats and dogs that are not my own. Yes, that's me, not affectionate)). Well, okay, the topic is not about that.
So, if in Olympus Grand Resort 4 * in October 2018 my peace of mind was disturbed by dog weddings on the beach and throughout the hotel, then in October 2019 at Platamon Cronwell Resort 5 * cat fights in eating areas were terribly annoying.

At the same time, our friends were resting on the opposite shore of the Thermaikos Gulf on Kassandra, yeah, right in front of us)). They said that in those parts it was generally terrible, what was happening, the roofs were blown away.
This is where the indoor pool and sauna come in handy. At least have some fun. Although, the pleasure is doubtful with so many splashing. Children don't care, they don't swim, they just jump and jump. I, personally, never used this pool, dad only for playing with children.
Our departure was in the afternoon. On that day, the air temperature dropped to +13 °C. Yeah ...But, the water in the sea was +23 ° C!

As it turned out later, they went to the sea to swim. Horror! In order not to injure my mother's soul, we did not go through the lobby (this is the shortest path), where I was sitting, but by roundabout paths. Here come the partisans! I can imagine how shocked people were walking along the shore at that moment, it’s really very hard to believe that it was actually warmer in the sea then than on land. Okay, the uncle is swimming (nothing special, the men are like that), and here the children are jumping in the waves ...The children were extremely delighted with this event! I suspect if they were more restrained in their emotions, I would never have learned anything.

We chose this hotel because there was a beautiful playground, it was important for us because we were vacationing with a child. What confused us was the noise in the restaurant. This is to dilute emotions. Nice animation for kids. Nice beach and sea. Especially the sea: we didn’t want to leave. Greece is a wonderful country. We managed not only to sunbathe and relax at the sea, but to see the area around. All in all, it was a good vacation. We recommend the hotel to picky people who just like to enjoy the moment and not look for flaws.

We rested with our parents at the Cronwell Platamon Resort at the end of May. Good hotel on the first line with a gorgeous large sandy beach. Sunset in the sea is wonderful, clean golden sand, only occasionally came across small pebbles. The hotel, in principle, has an excellent location - on the one hand, the Thermal Gulf of the Aegean Sea, and on the other, the Olympus mountain range rises. The air was amazing, but because of the mountains it was a little cloudy. Every day we admired the view of the mountains from the windows of our room. We also liked the room very much. We arrived at 11 am, exactly at 12 we were settled. The room is spacious, clean, with good new furniture, but quite simple, no frills. The room was in the main building of the hotel. Comfortable beds with medium hard mattresses, free safe, air conditioning, mini-bar, TV with a Russian-speaking channel, telephone, hair dryer. There are also slippers and bathrobes. Spacious balcony with table and chairs. We had absolutely no complaints about the room. The territory of the hotel is huge, there is where to take a walk after dinner. Vineyards grow on the territory of the hotel, there is a cage with a peacock, we liked everything very much. Most of the time we spent, of course, on the sea. It was calm, without waves, as it is a bay. The water is clear, warm and very pleasant. Sunbeds on the beach are free, they also give out towels, you just need to say the room number. The food at the hotel is also good, but sometimes I wanted a little variety. We had half board, which means breakfast and dinner. We dined every day in neighboring towns - either in Platamonas or Nei Pori, where there are good classic Greek taverns. What we liked about food is fruits. There were not so many of them, but they were always fresh and very sweet. Peaches, apples, strawberries, cherries, kiwi. For example, they cooked a variety of fish. The hotel has children's animation, a lot of young boys and girls, including Russian speakers. We could not evaluate the animation, as we rested without children, but other children ran with the animators cheerful and satisfied. We did not go on excursions, we rested only 7 days, but we rented a car from Mouzenidis Travel (our tour operator) and rode around the region. Not far from our hotel, on a hill, there is an old Venetian castle, which offers a stunning view of the bay and even the Chalkidiki peninsula opposite. The area in the region is very beautiful, a lot of greenery, rice fields, kiwi plantations. There are several supermarkets in nearby Platamonas, you can buy fruits and vegetables and store them in the fridge in your room. In the center of the town there is a beautiful church, many shops with souvenirs, very lively. They were very pleased with their vacation, for seven days they had a great rest in wonderful Greece (for the first time, by the way). We plan to return in September to the same hotel with children and friends.

We are quite sophisticated tourists. Were in many countries. But we decided to visit Greece. We chose a 5* hotel. Focused on a family holiday with children-5.7 years old. Our agent recommended Cronwell Platamon Resort 5*. Located in Pieria (mainland Greece). The hotel operates on ultra all inclusive. For European hotels - this is a rarity.
On the way to the hotel we enjoyed the nature of Greece. And approaching the hotel, they were completely impressed... since Cronwell Platamon is located right at the foot of the Olympic ridge. The majestic Olympus in front of the hotel. . . very exciting. I immediately remembered the myths and legends of Greece.
At the entrance to the hotel there is a children's water park. The hotel itself is not very big. We were seated on time. Reception staff is friendly. The room was also pleasantly surprised - we booked a suite - 2 large rooms - bright with good repair. There is also a small kitchenette and a microwave.
The food at the hotel is quite varied. Reminds Turkish all inclusive.
There are small questions about the beach - the beach itself is sandy and pebbly, but the depth starts abruptly. You need to be careful and pay attention to this if you plan to relax with small children.
The hotel also has a separate area (where tables are located. A mini-disco is held in the same room in the evening. Greeks smoke always and everywhere, this is a fact. But in the place where the mini-disco takes place it is very smoky, and there are a lot of children.
The weather in May turned out to be cool, so it was not particularly possible to swim in the sea. But this did not upset us. Since the hotel has a very active animation for children and adults.
There is a children's mini-club, as well as a huge selection of different sports - tennis, football, fitness. So there was no need to be bored.
In addition, the hotel is located close to the excursions offered by the operator with whom we rested - Mouzenidis Travel.
We managed to visit an excursion to Meteora. We recommend to everyone. Monasteries that are built on rocks. Inexpressible emotions and impressions. And amazing photos : -) : -) We also went to Aridea-Edessa. We bathed in a thermal spring, admired the wondrous nature and waterfalls.
Bought delicious dried fruits and nuts. Good excursion. And suitable for children. Not difficult and interesting.
They felt the local flavor of Greece and remained under a very pleasant impression of the country and the Greeks themselves. Kind and cheerful people.
We will definitely come back to Greece again : -)

A huge number of people are affecting - the food on the fourth day gets boring, everyone cooks "for the crowd", they would come for a week, there would be no complaints. As for excursions, the prices of the tour operator are unjustifiably raised, especially since food is never included in the price. In short, we went to the neighboring village of Nei Pori (immediately to the left from the exit), there, near a large church, we found an agency where they speak Russian, I don’t remember what it was called, but it’s easy to find. We signed up for 5 excursions with them (fortunately, our boys are already 11 and 13 years old, they went everywhere with us), the prices are 2 times lower than those of the tour operator, and the programs are more interesting. We were very pleased, everything that the girl guides at the hotel frightened us about street agencies turned out to be fairy tales.
We visited Meteora, Skiathos, Thessaloniki, an excursion to thermal springs and waterfalls, as well as Olympus (I especially liked that we returned from this trip at 15:00, having managed to visit as many as 4 places, each of which gave enough time to walk and calmly take a photo, nobody rushed us).
