The first impression: no one grabbed our suitcases, did not try to carry them somewhere, they gave us the key and showed us where to go. I liked the room (142), did not disappoint, we lived in it for all 14 days. Those who did not like it for some reason in their room could change it and even more than once. As soon as a more decent one (in your opinion) is released - no problem, you move. No surcharges! The hotel itself is located on a rather busy street, one might say central, but our window with a balcony overlooked a calm field with reeds, in front of a palm tree balcony, and the edge of the sea is a little visible. The room was cleaned every day, towels changed 1 time in 3 days, linen 1 time per week. . I’ll tell you right away about the shortcomings - it’s BREAKFASTS ! ! After 2 days they were terribly tired. Monotony! The set of products is the same, there is no hot food - no omelettes, no sausages. List of products: three types of bread, some kind of cookies, one type of cheese, 2-3 types of sausage cuts, corn flakes, yogurt (or mashed cottage cheese), cucumbers or tomatoes, watermelon or orange, dried fruits, portioned butter, honey, jams. The quality of drinks (coffee, tea, milk, juices) leaves much to be desired. . But then there were lunches and dinners in neighboring taverns, and there are plenty of them. You can't even visit all of them. There are menus in Russian in some, but this is rare. Still not accustomed to Russian tourists. We really liked the PLORY tavern - it's right on the seashore, the last one. . . We all somehow did not reach, but when we finally had dinner there, we were delighted. As an indicator - a lot of Greeks have dinner. They know how to appreciate their cuisine! There are many shops and bars around the hotel. Directly opposite is a supermarket where you can buy everything for a snack on the balcony - melon, watermelon, fruits, vegetables, feta, bread, milk, tomato jam (I recommend trying it). On the same street is the Konstantinos store - you must go there. Well, at least take your time to consider souvenirs, jewelry, clothes, shoes, perfumes. . . Who is interested in alcohol - you can not buy in Duty-free, but immediately upon arrival in Konstantinos, everything is there!! ! The car was rented through the host country - Millennium Travel. If you take it directly, it will come out a little cheaper. We wanted reliability. In a day you can drive around the entire island without any problems, but in two days - slowly. . . Be sure to visit the mountain village of Zia. The road there is a real serpentine, but having overcome it, such a breathtaking view will open before you. After passing a lot of souvenir shops, we stopped at a tavern with a beautiful view of the island and our beach, where we tasted dolma, moussaki, a drink with cinnamon syrup. Having descended from the mountain, we rode a lot of beaches and decided that our best one is sandy, entering the sea is also sand. We completed the day on the road at hydrogen sulfide thermal sources. You can't get there without a car. We rented a bike to explore the city of Kos. The bikes are good, new, fun to ride. The center of Kos is 12 km from the hotel. Everything is compactly located there - the port, the fortress, the bridge, the Hippocratic tree, a little walk - the market and many taverns and bars. The market has a rich selection of fruits, souvenirs, honey, Turkish delight, jam, various creams with olive oil for hands / feet / head, etc. You can also buy natural sponges there - both as a gift and for yourself. Having mentioned sponges, I will move on to excursions. Boat trip on three islands. One of the islands (second stop) is Kalinos, the one where divers extract these same sponges. There's also a sponge museum. . . But. . prices in the museum differ significantly upwards, and at times - there are certified goods, etc. In general, everyone has the right to make their own choice. . I can say that if you buy this tour on the street in any travel agency, it will cost 20 euros / person cheaper, but without a Russian guide. If you understand at least a little bit of English (the main thing is to understand what time the boat leaves the island), then a Russian guide is not needed. . Information can be read. . But I recommend another excursion "Volcano Nissiros" with a Russian guide. The tour is interesting. The active, dormant volcano is impressive, where you can go down into the crater itself, and then a trip to the village. Mandraki - very picturesque places and views. There, in a local tavern, we got acquainted with a new dish "simaki shrimp" - small shrimp that can be eaten without peeling, along with the shell. Nice and tasty. In a word - I liked the rest on the island of Kos, left some new indelible impressions. You can not focus on only one thing (such as a hotel). You can relax wonderfully and unforgettable, if you want to. If you do not drive a car and do not know how to ride a bike - it does not matter. There are excursions around the island, there is a regular bus that runs every hour, there is a taxi (around the clock). . . And even a train that will take you to Marmari and Pili, and you will observe the surroundings and see how other vacationers live. There is a windsurf station on the beach if anyone is interested. Every day after 15 o'clock comes a paradise for kitesurfers, because a steady top wind blows in one direction. There are water sports and entertainment - banana, water bike. Sunbeds and sunbeds for a fee. 5-6 euros for a set (two sunbeds and an umbrella), but if you lay out your towel right on the beach, it's free! The overall impression of the rest - I want again! Returning to the hotel - suitable for a family, budget, relaxing holiday. There is a swimming pool ~ 20m X 10m with a depth of 1.35 m, a section for children - 0.5m. and jacuzzi. You don't have to pay for sunbeds around the pool.
