The Tsamis Hotel is considered one of the oldest hotels in the city. Stayed there for two nights on April 25.26, 2014. Room 310. Located in a picturesque location right on the shore of Lake Orestiada. Most of the rooms have a view. From Kastoria itself, the hotel is at a fairly decent distance. Approximately 2-2.5 km. Walking is difficult, and part of the road will have to go along the side of a busy highway without sidewalks. Buses run infrequently, so you only need to rely on a taxi. To the center will take 5-8 euros. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. The territory of the hotel is small, but there is where to walk. There is a small pier protruding into the lake, from which you can feed ducks, pelicans and geese. There are no grocery stores within walking distance.
There are no Russian-speaking staff at the reception. English is understood. In the same place, along with a key card, they also give out a remote control from the TV. Double room cost me 40 euros per night. The room is quite decent in size for Europe. No tightness is felt. It looks like it has been recently refurbished. Clean walls, laminate flooring, clean plumbing. The furniture is not new, but not dead. I would say old fashioned. But everything is functional, clean and comfortable. What is a retro bedside table with a built-in radio. There is a spacious closet and safe. On the walls are nice-looking paintings with views of the old city of Kastoria. Air conditioning and heating work well. The only thing is that the bed personally seemed to me a bit harsh and the carpeting in the corridors has seen better days.
The view from my room was of the lake. Just fantastic!! ! It's worth any money. Don't skimp on this. Although during periods when there are few tourists, as now, the rooms are all rented with a view of Orestiada and the city. The rest of the hotel overlooking the mountain and the highway and all the windows are simply closed with blinds and from the side of the road the hotel seems lifeless, especially in the evening
I can't comment on cleaning. The bed was made perfectly, and I didn’t litter anymore. There was no dust on anything, the plumbing was wiped. Nothing to complain about.
Wifi in the hotel is very fast. In all rooms, in addition to the wireless network, there are also cables for the Internet. I don’t know what speed will be when the hotel is full of guests, but at that time you could easily watch videos from youtube in hd quality.
Breakfast is spartan. A huge empty hall crammed with beautifully set tables, probably 150 people, despite the fact that the hotel has about 30-40 residents. I generally had breakfast alone and from the staff also did not see anyone. From food: scrambled eggs, mushrooms, chopped sausages, boiled eggs, muesli jams, delicious cake, yogurt, more like sour cream, bread, Lipton tea, instant coffee. Sparsely, but you can eat and get enough. There is a bar on the first floor, but I didn't see anyone there.
The hotel is decent. I can safely recommend it for a couple of three days, especially to tourists who came not only to see the city, but also to buy a fur coat. Within walking distance, within 5-10 minutes on foot from the hotel, there are factories that do not need to be presented. Mousios at 100 meters (the best fur coats in Kastoria for the price and quality of mink queen Blaglama). Marco Varni and Avanti 200 meters away. Vitaniotis bros. 300 meters. P. K. Z. (Papandopolus) and Alessandro Bosso walk 5-10 minutes towards the city. A few more lesser known shops. From here you can quickly get 3-5 minutes to the factories, which are located in the area of the village of Dispilio. The fur coat theme and shopping tours are a separate story.

I was in it in February, as part of a fur coat tour from the Labyrinth. It is on the edge of Kastoria, where, however, there is a concentration of good taverns with home cooking, where we were taken for dinner. The hotel itself is unexpectedly comfortable for a three-ruble note with spacious rooms and a view of the lake from them.

You go out on the balcony in the morning - you watch the geese-ducks on the water. There is the Internet, in the shower all the accessories, if you don’t know what a three-ruble note, I would take it for a good four.
