Having arrived in a country and settled in a hotel, in the future most of us will identify the country and the hotel, i. e. in other words, returning from a poor hotel in Turkey, the tourist will say - "I don't want to hear about Turkey anymore", Potidea became our first hotel in mainland Greece (before that there were islands), and we are delighted with it...
More recently, I wrote a review - "Useful Tips", from the hotel, for those who are going to the Potidea hotel in the near future.
Now we have been at home for 5 days already, the children still miss the hotel, I often hear, "And now we swam in the sea", "And now I would watch cartoons" and so on. On the eve of departure, the youngest could not sleep for a long time, cried, offered to stay, extend the vacation, return tickets, well, in general, come up with something. The eldest, cast fishing rods about the rest here, next year, but not for 14 days, but at least 18-20... in short - no one wanted to leave.

Now the eldest son asks me - "Are you writing a good review? It's better to write that everything was bad there, otherwise you won't be able to buy a hotel next year, everyone will want to have a good rest. " But everything is not bad there, but very wonderful, there are some drawbacks, but there is no ideal in the world, I told about the minuses in the previous opus, but I want to say that they didn’t poison our vacation, they just exist, and that’s all, not It's bad if people know about them. I am not a fan of blind love at all, I can see the shortcomings very well, there are small ones, but there are big ones that it is impossible to put up with. So in Potidee, we did not encounter any major disadvantages.
They met us wonderfully, settled us quickly, really, if there is an opportunity, they don’t wait in principle (as in some countries) until the stated check-in time, and after an early rise and flight, this is very important, usually the first day of rest is thrown away, but here we are at 11-30 were already in the room, took a shower, changed clothes and went for a walk around the territory, and then we look, people reached out for lunch, and we follow them, dinners at the hotel are held, as I already wrote, in a restaurant (aka canteen) by the pool, on in my opinion, lunches at the hotel are the most modest meal, the choice of dishes is much less than at dinner, but still a fairly large assortment. It is interesting that the cooks remember you, the husband took the meat on the grill, and then went to get more for the baby, and the cook girl asks, “Well, what did you like, give me more? ”
Everything is sincere in the hotel, however, as someone wrote, you feel that you are welcome here, but only you were not enough for complete happiness.
The fact that 95% of Russian-speaking guests are resting in the hotel scared us initially (before the start of the vacation), we usually choose hotels that German pensioners have chosen, with children it’s calm, quiet there, if the child starts to make noise, no one is staring at you as an enemy of the people, like “shut up your geek”, everyone understands everything, they smile and say hello in the morning, our baby is used to saying hello to everyone in hotels, but here almost no one answered him, they just looked wildly and that’s all, but I told him an old parable - “if your “Hello” didn’t answer, then this person gives you a piece of his health, ”the baby stopped worrying that no one loves him and does not notice. But the contingent of vacationers in the bulk, families with children, everything is decorous and dignified.

It is not our policy to return to the same hotel twice, first of all, there is no, how to say, the spirit of discovery, but discoveries are not always encouraging, but we are just afraid that the hotel has changed for the worse, and we don’t want to be disappointed.
In Potidaea, we met a family that has been vacationing here for the fourth time, the children are at sea from May to the end of August, and the adults change, and so, they told us that the hotel is getting better and better every year, there are reasons not to believe them, I have no.
So maybe next year again there, or maybe....Time will tell, but for now the soul is torn there.
And what do you want, for a holiday with children in Europe, this is a wonderful hotel, I love Italy, and the French Riviera, Spain, but not for families with children. This is my opinion, many do not agree with it, but I do not urge anyone to support me, I have different requirements for rest with children and with my spouse.
Walking along the beach in the evenings, we went to the territory of the nearby hotels Portes palace, Iston, Portes Beach, these hotels, in terms of landscape design, and indeed... did not stand next to Potidea, although Easton is positioned as a 5 * hotel, but after passing through the territory, it produces a depressing impression, there is little greenery, only buildings and paths between them, and the Portes have not large territories... Of course, I have no idea about the rooms and food. But when I went to visit, I was glad of our choice.
At the hotel there is a shop with souvenirs and all sorts of things, to the right of the ticket office there is an entrance to the wine cellar, very good wines, we brought as much as our legislation allows us to import, some friends advised us to try the Aroma of Greece wine - honey, although I, as Omar Khayyam, think - “If you drink that red wine”, and this is white, but it has such an original taste and a pleasant aftertaste... try it.
I will not bore you anymore with my story, I will say one thing, the hotel is really worth it.
